Car had a small oil leak and I was afraid that it would be an expensive service but it turned out that the oil filter was out of place, and that was easy to fix and did not cost much. I was very happy th be an expensive service but it turned out that the oil filter was out of place, and that was easy to fix and did not cost much. I was very happy that my Sirius System was restored. Service Dept. Also took care of two Recall items, for which I was very pleased. My Car was in the shop for over a week, but I was told that Service Dept. Was short of mechanics. I appreciated the free car wash, but the wheels were left dirty. Also, at the driver’s seat , dirty paper mats were left in there, and black fingerprints were left on the door. More

I went to the Mazda service department at Palm Springs Motors to ask them for help in learning how to disengage the auto parking brake on my new 2021 Mazda 3. The owners manual says this should be done b Motors to ask them for help in learning how to disengage the auto parking brake on my new 2021 Mazda 3. The owners manual says this should be done before you use an automatic car wash. I didn't realize this was a problem until I had the car washed for the first time as the rear wheels stayed locked as the car went down the line in neutral...dragging the rear tires. The manual lists 2 different methods for disengaging the automatic parking break...but both methods are rather involved with numerous steps. I've tried both methods but whatever I'm doing isn't working. So I go into the Mazda service area on a quiet Thursday mid-afternoon...not a customer around, but there was a service rep at the desk. I told him my story and showed him copies of the manual pages that explain how to disengage that brake...asking him to show me in the car how to perform this function. His response was that he didn't know how to do it, and no one else there would know how to do it. He didn't look at the printed directions I brought in, he didn't offer any help at all...never got off his stool. What he did tell me was that I should just tell the car wash to leave the car running in neutral when going through the line. His whole attitude was that he could care less about learning about or helping me with the procedure to disengage the automatic parking break. In my opinion, he was simply was too lazy to help...didn't make any effort at all. I left thinking that my car is new, less than 1,500 miles on it...the car is not having a problem, but I just needed some help with this, and I couldn't get it. I hope that when I need maintenance work done that this lazy rep will show some interest. I'm writing reviews and writing the service manager. I'm contacting the Mazda regional office and I'm going to find out how to perform the procedure one way or another. Before buying a Mazda in the Coachella Valley...think about this... There is only one Mazda dealership here...and these guys aren't interested. More
