After jump starting it, I took it in to a local auto repair shop, then said the battery was bad and replaced it. Car starts all the time now. No certified mechanics at Palm Chev. Something funny is going on in service! Took my truck in for new batteries, service guy started it to check mileage and said service engine light came on and it had a transfer case issue ( prior to this the for new batteries, service guy started it to check mileage and said service engine light came on and it had a transfer case issue ( prior to this the service engine light never had come on). Kept it all day and then said it needed a new turbocharger-$5000. There had been no symptoms of turbo issues before. Two days later and they still hadn’t addressed a bounce in the front end from the new tires we got from them, we picked it up unfinished. Paperwork said we brought it in for a check engine light issue (we brought it in for batteries), said we needed a new turbo but it was working now and no problem with transfer case. Looks like they’re inventing issues to pad their bottom line. More
Damaged My New Corvette But Fixed The Damage Satisfactorily I took my new Corvette to Palm Chevrolet on October 4th for warranty repairs, the well-known A8 transmission shudder and front fender/fascia paint iss I took my new Corvette to Palm Chevrolet on October 4th for warranty repairs, the well-known A8 transmission shudder and front fender/fascia paint issues. The car had 200 miles on the odometer and all of that mileage was incurred only from driving the car home from the selling dealer without incident. The car had also been thoroughly cleaned and garage kept before giving it to Palm Chevrolet for repairs. I asked the service department to turn the car over to the body shop when the transmission flush was complete but they refused. So when the car was ready the afternoon of the 4th, I came back and drove the car from the service department to the body shop in the rear and turned it over to them. Both entities inspected the car for damage prior to intake and did not note any. The body shop promised the car back on October 8th. The 8th came and went without any contact from Palm. They called me on the evening of October 10th, telling me the car was ready for pickup but said they were closed and I could get it the next day, the 11th. I and my wife arrived on the afternoon of the 11th to get the car. We were told there was no paperwork for the repairs and that the car would be brought around front shortly. After I complained, Palm agreed to mail me the paperwork when it was available. As soon as the body shop tech brought Corvette around and parked it, through the office window about 50-feet away from the car, I could see a large white spot on the lower driver's side rocker panel. When I went outside I also noticed mud all over the fender-wells and underside of the car. When I opened the door, my driver's side floor mat was also muddy and dirty. Turns out the white spot was a large chunk of composite missing from the rocker panel near the rear lift point. Feeling under the panel I found more damage at the front lift point. I told the body shop I wasn't taking the car back like that and demanded that they fix it. That triggered the body tech getting two managers from the service area who proceeded to tell me that I couldn't prove they damaged the car. After a lot of complaining and pointing out facts such as their employees inspecting the car for damage prior to intake. the managers said the best they would do was hit the most noticeable damage spot with "a shot of paint." They refused to otherwise repair it with filler or replace the rocker panel. After a lot of going back and forth and getting nowhere, I filed a damage report with the Ocala Police Department in case I had to take Palm to court. At first Palm's managers were indifferent to me filing the police report and refusing to pick the car up, but they later had a change of heart after I actually filed it, then agreeing to fix the car. Upon returning home I inspected the car more thoroughly and found the front air dam was ripped, the hood seal was misaligned and there were paint runs on the bottom of the front bumper. I waited until I got home to crawl around looking at the underside because the parking lot of Palm's body shop is deplorable. Once my wife and I returned to Palm and they agreed to fix those items also without the hassle I encountered the first time. If Palm fails to fix the car to my satisfaction I'll either update this review or write another. I have to wait until October 21st for Palm to take the car back. Photos of the damage and a more thorough account of this incident can be found on the Corvette Forum dot com in the C7 discussion area. Update October 29, 2019: I received the Vette back today. From all appearances, Palm did a nice job of repairing the car. All of the defects were repaired and the car was detailed before returning it to me. They also went to some extra lengths such as having a team of managers deliver the car and they kept it stored in a detail bay until I picked it up. So it's nice to have my Corvette back and I'm grateful Palm stood behind their work in this unfortunate incident. A teachable moment for all involved. Because of the lengths Palm went to repair the car I've upgraded my review from one to four stars. More

Had my 2014 Impala in for regular mileage maintenance Made appointment and was taken on time, Might suggest sign posted that stated "pull up here and service tech will be with you soon' or to that affect Made appointment and was taken on time, Might suggest sign posted that stated "pull up here and service tech will be with you soon' or to that affect. Uh, no. Might never happen. Just go inside and then everything went like clockwork. Service was done in short amount of time and I was on my way. Folks were friendly and nice and waiting area is very nice. I bought the car there and have been having all my Chevrolet cars serviced there for the past 10 years. Why change a good thing. More
