My purchase of the Volkswagen Certified Pre-Owned vehicle was a positive overall experience because 1) the sales folks were responsive and straight with me, 2) the vehicle price and trade-in allowance were reasonable without any haggling, 3) this was a delightful and pressure-free vehicle purchasing and financing experience which I really, really appreciated, 4) I have confidence in my purchase because this is a Volkswagen Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, and 5) the overall sales and delivery process was reasonably fast from the time of my arrival, including vehicle inspection and road test, completing all paperwork with finance manager, final vehicle prep and delivery in about 2 hours! Pacific VW is a very clean, nice, [large] new VW Branded dealership facility that gave a great first impression and as well, left a very good impression with me. Bottom line, I got great, friendly, fair, fast customer service, I got the financing and trade-in allowance I needed, and I got the vehicle I wanted (delivered with a full tank of fuel). It was a very at-ease process and it all concluded wonderfully with us purchasing a vehicle. I feel the experience with Bill was great. However, I wanted to double back on the "monster mats" (mats) that were thrown in and address this in writing in this "Dealer Review For Pacific Volkswagen:" wanted to double back on the "monster mats" (mats) that were thrown in and address this in writing in this "Dealer Review For Pacific Volkswagen:" The mats, as you all know, was a surprise and was not communicated ahead of my arrival even though PVW had the vehicle a full day before I came in. I did not order the mats and they can and could be put in any Jetta new or used or even sold in the parts department. I feel it was a ploy management used to get additional money from me at signing. That leaves a sour taste with me. I could have walked out on the deal, but didn't as I like Bill's approach, attitude and personality. He is responsible for my purchase. As shared with Bill I had another vehicle ready to go, but it was my experience with Bill that ultimately led to my return to PVW. A token was offered from the showroom "boutique," but really was just that, a token and did not makeup for the surprise mats, that now I have two sets of. Moving forward what will PVW do to address such surprises? If loyalty deals are only honored (even though it was offered) to current VW registered owner's, I'm uncertain because of the surprise mats that my loyalty to PVW will remain. More
