The website advertisement for this particular car listed several options that were not included in the vehicle package. I had an hour and a half wait to see the finance guy, so I had plenty of time to review the website advertisement of the vehicle. After I get the vehicle home I learned that it did not have heated seats or the cold weather package. When I contacted Oxmoor they had already removed the ad so I had no proof as to my claim. If you purchase a vehicle there make sure you go over all the options before you sign the paper and physically check the vehicle very closely. Their website has a disclaimer that states not all options may be present More

I purchased 4 tires from Toyota for $970 in April of 2023 for the 2010 Avalon. A few weeks ago, I had a flat tire and took it to Oxmoor Toyota, and they told me that a puncture was not covered and it would for the 2010 Avalon. A few weeks ago, I had a flat tire and took it to Oxmoor Toyota, and they told me that a puncture was not covered and it would cost $30 to patch. I didn’t like the idea that I had to pay for a patch with a road hazard, so on principal, I took it to Costco to be patched. Costco informed me that they would not patch it because the sidewall had a bubble and the tire was not safe to be driven on. I took the tire back to Oxmoor Toyota in the hopes that the road hazard warranty would now be honored. Doug Morris was the service advisor. I have had several unpleasant experiences with him in the past, but I just wanted my tire fixed so I dropped it off. Despite having an appointment, he texted me after two hours and 15 minutes to say the tire had been patched. I told him that the tire had a bubble that had been marked by Costco. He told me the technician didn’t mention a bubble and then no longer responded to texts, so I went to Toyota and looked at the tire and there was a bubble in the sidewall where Costco had marked the tire. I talked to Doug, and he said that if the tire wasn’t leaking, it wasn’t covered by the road hazard warranty. I talked to the Service Manager who told me basically the same thing. After I asked if he was seriously going to let me drive away with a bubble in the sidewall, he said that he would jump through hoops to see if he could get it covered. After a bit, he apologized and said that he would fix it and only charge me $44 for mounting and balancing. I don’t mind mistakes and admitting them goes a long way, but this is very disturbing to me. Ignoring the warranty issue, I feel that Toyota failed on several levels: 1. The tire technician failed to notice or inform me that there was a bubble in the sidewall, even though a Costco tech found it, clearly marked it, and refused to fix it because of the danger. 2. The fact that the service advisor would tell me that a bubble wasn’t a road hazard as long as it wasn’t leaking air. 3. Although the service manager ultimately agreed to correct the problem, it was only after I expressed shock and challenged him. I just wonder how many little old ladies are sent packing with unsafe equipment. It should not take 5 trips to a Toyota Service Center to get a tire repaired. I will never spend another nickel at this dealership. More
