Went in about 20 minutes before they were closing. Talked a little to Herb. I told him I had look at his competitor's web site across town and browsed their inventory and internet prices. He said those prices were not true and I'd never be able to buy a car at the competitor's internet price. Bad mouthing competition from the start. Not a good sign. I came back next day for test drive. Talked to Chris. A very nice young salesman. But he was dependent on management for pricing. Got a lease monthly payment amount from them on a new Mazda but it seemed very high. Asked for money factor, residual, etc. Got that but they would not give me the total purchase price that would be sale price to leasing company. That was the big factor - their actual out the door price was way high creating enormous monthly lease payment. It created a payment $80 more than I was quoted at dealer across town. When I told them that they reduced price to get lease $40 less than their first quote. Old-school car sales tactics. They first quoted me a price that was almost $3,000 more out-the-door than their competition. They started high and negotiated down from there. They still never quite met their competitions's price. The dealer across town quoted me their best price first and did it via a formal quote in an email that was good until the end of the month. They got my business and I'm driving a new Mazda procured at a an Internet cost Oxmoor said was a false price and I'd be disappointed if I went across town because I'd never get the other dealers internet price. I did, and even more. Plus 4 free oil changes +tire rotations + free roadside assistance. I just want you to be aware that the first price they quote isn't their lowest price, and dealer across town DOES indeeed sell you a car at their Internet quoted price or less! Oxmoor dealership is nice, newer, modern, convenient to east side of town, and generally friendly. I just don't like it when a sales person bad-mouths the competition, gives me incorrect information about the competition, and doesn't just give me their best price first. More
I was about to buy a car, ordered a color, was waiting for few weeks. Car came back without stuff that I was promised, they told me that I have to pay more. Finally, they talked my husband to agree on different color, but it still was not all stuff that I was hope for, so I decided that I am NOT going to buy car from them. Man called my house and started screaming at me like I WAS OBLIGATED to buy from them! It is totally WRONG!!! More
The Oxmoor Mazda Dealership was TOP NOTCH. The salesman Avery Davis was the MOST AWSOME CAR SALESMAN I have ever delt with. He was extremely helpful for my husband and me. He spent all day Monday February 27, 2012 with my husband swhile I was at work. Tuesday February 28, 2012 we went to the Dealership at 9:00am and walked out with a 2012 Mazda CX-9 automobile. That was the fastest and the easiest car buying experience for my husband and myself. Thank You Oxmoor Mazda Dealership. You are #1 in my eyes and I would recommend you any day all day long. This dealership took me for well over 10 grand. I traded a new vehicle in for a used due to financial problems. They knew this and knew how upset I was with my situation. I guess I had desperate wrote on my forehead. Apparently I bought a vehicle that had been appraised for 6500 for 16,000. Yeah its that bad. They would not let me see my trade in value until I had signed the papers. They say the difference in money went to insurance, their profit, and fees and that I actually paid 11,000 for the car. There is a lot of my money missing and not one person their can tell me what happened. I am a 54 year old woman. I know I should have paid better attention but I was so upset when I traded my car in. I had 2 days to come up with my house payment or be homeless (I am in middle of divorce). Regardless of anything, the salesmen should have never did this to me. What makes me so mad is they know what they did and refuse to make it right. More
There is a recall on the 2008 Mazda CX-7 due to smoking exhaust issue with turbo boost. My car has been "serviced" four times now to no avail. Kevin (Oxmoor's ridiculous service writer) insists there is ab exhaust issue with turbo boost. My car has been "serviced" four times now to no avail. If you buy a car from these sheisters you will be very sorry. After they get your money, they are unwilling to be responsible for anything including RECALL situations. Very scary! More
The customer services was outstanding with this dealership. I was browsing online for a vehicle, I submitted to 4 different dealerships about inquiries for a specific auto they had on each other dealership. The next morning This dealership was the first to call me and eager for my business, they scheduled an appointment with me that suited around my work scheduled and asked me about the car I was interested in. Upon arriving at the dealership I was greeted right away and was asked what vehicle I had in mind, they then took me inside filled out some personal information sheets and directed me to the vehicle I was intended to purchase. The gentleman was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and answered everything promptly and with ease. During the test drive he asked me questions on how I felt with the vehicle and such, I felt the dealer was very professional with this. After the test drive, we then filled out the rest of the paperwork to seal the deal on the vehicle, after about 20-30 minutes everything was set and I was reviewing my contract on the vehicle I wanted. I choose this dealership because I felt they were eager to have my business, they were the first to call me and ask me if I would be interested to checking the vehicle out and consider maybe a purchase. They did not push anything as I had many options to back out of it if I wanted to. I felt they were very professional, answered all my questions and set everything up for me to eagerly get me out of there happy and with a new car. They also gave me a fair price for my old vehicle I traded in to them, considering the issues and problems the vehicle had on it they were very fair on the offer for the vehicle. I appreciated the hard work this dealership did for me and able to assist me with anything I needed or had questions about. I would highly recommend this dealership by far, they were more professional than the first dealership I dealt with 7 years ago. Thank you guys once again and I'm very happy about the purchase I made. More
Follow up has been terrible. So many items they didn't follow up on and could not even get a phone call back. I even sent the General Manager a nice email with concerns and didn't even hear back from him follow up on and could not even get a phone call back.
