I was looking for a used Ford Taurus, since I'd had an earlier Taurus that served me very well. Oxmoor Mazda had three, so I went there, took down the sales numbers and said I would have my husband check earlier Taurus that served me very well. Oxmoor Mazda had three, so I went there, took down the sales numbers and said I would have my husband check them out. One of them (listed as a 2008) had a good price, and low mileage. My husband brought the car to me at work and I drove it around the neighborhood and said I liked it and would buy it. When he shut the car off, it would not re-start due to a dead battery. We tried and tried to call Oxmoor Mazda to have them come over and jump the battery, but "everyone was in a meeting." We called AAA and they jumped the battery and gave us a printout showing a dead cell. During all this time, we looked the car over, and my husband had to lift the hood so AAA could get to the battery. We didn't see anything wrong. Back at the dealership, my husband said we'd buy the car if they replaced the battery. Herb said they would. That afternoon We went back to close the deal. We didn't see the car (which turned out to be a 2007) anymore until the paperwork was completed (a 2-hour ordeal). And there was some question about a "mix-up" over the inventory numbers, but Herb assured us it was only a mistake that happened from time to time. Finally the car was brought out to us and I drove it home. In our driveway, we discovered there was a dent in the front fender, a broken windshield, and, worst of all, someone had scrawled a large Mazda logo on the hood. I'm sure we would have seen this in raising the hood for AAA. I called them immediately and told them the problems. They said they would make them good, but when I took the car back for the repairs, they said I'd bought the car "As Is" and they wouldn't pay for the repairs. It is my belief that they switched cars on me. Then even though saying they would replace the windshield and repaint the hood, they reneged. DON'T EVER BUY A CAR NEW OR USED, FROM THESE BASTARDS!! I work for a large corporation in Louisville KY. Travel is required with my job with the company and requires that I rent a car each time from a local car rental company. I am to receive a mid-size car, b is required with my job with the company and requires that I rent a car each time from a local car rental company. I am to receive a mid-size car, but it all depends on whatever is available from the car rental company. I have driven many different makes/models of cars, but must say my best experince with a rental car was the 2006 Mazda 6. I feel in love with the car during the week long business trip. I told my husband when I returned home that if we ever decided to purchase another car, I wanted a 2006 Mazda 6. Not long after that, we went looking for cars and found a used one year old 2006 Mazda 6. It was everything I would have ever dreamed of in a car! I loved that car! About 1.5 years later, the car was involved in an auto accident. Neil Huffman Mazda did the repair work (rear end damage repair), however I was not pleased with their performance as it took them three times to match the paint correctly. Last year, my husband was still not pleased with the car any longer due to being involved in an accident, so we decided to trade it in on a new car in July 2009. We visited Oxmoor Mazda and on the same day, purchased a 2009 Mazda 6. Mike Beach and Bill Willoughby were wonderful. The worked with me to get me what I wanted. Now don't take what I am about to say as negative, but after purchasing the 2009 Mazda 6, I was not happy. The new car was great and handled very well, however, it was bigger than the 2006 model and not really the size car I wanted. So in April of 2010, I returned to Oxmoor Mazda to talk to them about trading the 2009 Mazda 6 for something smaller and more sporty. They again were wonderful to work with. They showed me lots of different models of cars available, however, since I was returning a car I had not even had for a year, it wasn't as easy to find what I liked in the price range I needed to be. But they finally found the perfect car for me! I purchased a 2010 Mazda 3, celestial blue! Awesome color, great handling, perfect size, awesome car! My son and daughter in law had some bad luck with their used cars, and decided to begin the process of looking for another vehicle. I highly recommended they go talk to the great folks at Oxmoor Mazda. They did and drove home in a 2010 Mazda 5! Then my sister decided it was time to trade in her car for something newer and bigger (so that she could have room for her four grandchildren). I also referred her to Oxmoor Mazda, and she drove home in a 2010 Mazda CX-9! I returned the car today for the first scheduled oil change. I must say to all you read this....Oxmoor Mazda has the most courteous and friendly staff. Everyone always smiles and welcomes you there! Oxmoor Mazda employees are a great group of people who I will continue to refer anyone to that I know is in the market for a new vehicle. Thanks Oxmoor Mazda! Zoom-Zoom! More
The eve we drove into the lot to just look at the used vehicles, the general mgr took the time to chat with us although it was closing time. We loved the down to earth attitude and honesty of the staff. M vehicles, the general mgr took the time to chat with us although it was closing time. We loved the down to earth attitude and honesty of the staff. My husband actually went in the next day to get more info and said he had no problems whatsoever. We haven't even had the Highlander a full day but so far so good. We will definately recommend this dealership to our friends who say they are searching for a new/used vehicle. Thanks so much! More
Went in to buy a used car. After being shuffled through 3-4 different salesmen ended up with the used car manager, Gene Willis. He snuck in an additional $598.00 fee to my 17 year old daughter's car purchase as a "special benefits package". Ask anyone at the dealeship what a "special benefits package" is and you will get a different answer. The finance guy told me that EVERYONE THAT SHOPS AT OXMOOR HAS TO PAY A SPECIAL BENEFITS PACKAGE FEE which is basically a tacked on fee that they determine and is never disclosed to the customer. Everyone at the dealership has a different explainatin for what the special benefits package is. One guy told me it was documentation fees (those were charged elsewhere), one person told me it was to keep the lights on at the dealership, one guy told me it was for towing charges, and another told me it was for grocery store coupons (never did receive those). Basically it's just a large fee you are being charged by them for nothing! Their sales practices are extremely deceptive, they use "closers", pull the bait and switch thing and are basically everything you expect a slimy used car sales staff to be. Take my word, don't shop there!!! You will get overcharged and you will regret it!!! I have sent several emails and placed several calls and noone will return my calls. More
DO NOT USE THIS DEALER!! BOTTOM LINE!!! NO MATTER WHOM YOU DEAL WITH, ALL ARE SHITTY PEOPLE THERE. BILL, CHRIS, GENE, SPENCER. ALL ARE TRYING TO RIP YOU OFF. Wow. By far the worst experience ever!! We YOU DEAL WITH, ALL ARE SHITTY PEOPLE THERE. BILL, CHRIS, GENE, SPENCER. ALL ARE TRYING TO RIP YOU OFF. Wow. By far the worst experience ever!! We spoke with BILL (GENERAL MANAGER) over the phone who assured us that they would beat a USAA quoted price on a Mazda3 PLUS give 0% for 5 years + $500.00 LESS. We told him we were traveling 1.5+ hours to make this deal and he said they would make it worth our trip, that they were trying to improve their ranking among the national mazda dealerships as they were already in one of the top dealerships already. He said his manager takes pride in having people come long distances to make a deal with them as it shows they are extremely competitive. After we arrived there, we had price and deal already dealt at 0%. But the put us on 5.99 and prepared the paper work without letting us know. We had to run because of work schedule. I found when chase bank call us to let us know our loan. I went there and threaten to go court, then the prepared the paper again with 0% but raised the price by 500$. THOSE GUYS ARE DECEPTIVE. BE CAREFUL... More
DO NOT USE THIS DEALER!! AT VERY LEAST DO NOT GO THROUGH GREG RAMBO!! Wow. By far the worst experience ever!! We spoke with Greg Rambo over the phone who assured us that they would beat a USAA quoted price on a Mazda 5 PLUS give 0% for 5 years. We told him we were travelling 3+ hours to make this deal and he said they would make it worth our trip, that they were trying to improve their ranking among the national mazda dealerships as they were already in one of the top dealerships already. He said his manager takes pride in having people come long distances to make a deal with them as it shows they are extremely competitive. At first impression we expected them to have an impressive inventory. They did not. They had a small handfull of options, none of them with the navigation system as promised in the quote. We were okay to deal with that. Upon arriving we learned that even though we had arranged with Mr. Rambo a time to make this deal, he was "away" at an auction and was pawning us off on another salesman. We explained the converstation we had with Mr. Rambo (I'm beginning to wonder if that is his real name because from where I stand I see nothing but weakness) and they were shocked that we were promised such a deal. After talking with the manager, they flat out refused to make a deal with us. Not even giving a counter offer. After expressing our frustrations and going back and forth trying to find a deal for us, they still didn't even come close to competitors (even smaller dealerships I might add). We didn't even see a manager. We left empty handed. We called before going too far to see if they would at least beat prices we could have got local to home. Could not/would not even do that. Then they go back on what they said and tell us the 0% financing is only 36 months. RIDICULOUS. We talked to Mr. Greg Rambo on the phone and all he could say, "I'm sorry, man! I thought we could do it!" USAA brings up this dealership as one who is a part of their program but when we got there they denied it completely. Shady dealership if you ask me. We wasted 6+ hours driving time WITH a 3yr old and a 6 month old in the car and we are understandably upset to say the least. They do not care about the customer. They do not care about upholding their end of the bargain. They only care about numbers. Their numbers. I don't know about you but I would never want to give money to such a greedy operation. I am starting to wonder if they did it to us on purpose. DO NOT USE THIS DEALER!! AT VERY LEAST DO NOT GO THROUGH GREG RAMBO!! More

Bottom line a shady dealer that offers a good price but after the sale isn't concerned about customer service and doesn't live up to its agreements. Purchased a new vehicle from Oxmoor Mazda as they see after the sale isn't concerned about customer service and doesn't live up to its agreements. Purchased a new vehicle from Oxmoor Mazda as they seemingly had the best price in a 3-state area. My perspective now is they offer a good price but don't live up to their purchase agreements...bottom line you get less than what you pay for. Very friendly service while they were courting me for a purchase. That ended shortly after my taking possession of the vehicle, now I cannot get any customer service from them. Every time I call I get a run around and/or a promise of a returned call that never happens. Oxmoor did not have the car I was looking for on their lot so they performed a dealer trade. The car they traded for had the options I wanted except a trailer hitch. Part of the purchase agreement between myself and Oxmoor was that a trailer hitch would be installed at a later date (part had to be ordered) at their cost. My mistake was to trust them at their word and drive away with the belief they would live up to their end of the bargain. After a week of no contact I called my salesman, Avery Davis, to get a status check. He initially told me that the paperwork authorizing the parts order had been lost. When I pressed him about it he said agreed it could be recreated and shortly thereafter the original paperwork was found. Several days later I called again to get the status of the parts order. Avery Davis told me this time that the parts department had not ordered it yet...things had been busy. I called the parts department to determine the status of the parts order and they knew nothing of it. At this point I lost contact Avery Davis. Left several voicemails, messages and e-mails seeking the status of our purchase agreement but none have been returned. I then went to the GM Bill Willoughby. He initially seemed helpful suggesting I have the part installed at a local dealer (I live out of state) at Oxmoor's cost. I agreed to this, went to a local dealer who agreed to do the work if Oxmoor paid. Oxmoor and the local dealer were in contact and I was told Oxmoor would contact me about the next step. No one has contacted me nor will the GM, Bill Willoughby, or anyone else return my calls. More
