He overcharged us 4100 for the exact same car they are advertising for less. I immediately tried contacting him, which he read soon after I sent the email, but didn't get back with me for a couple days. Basically, it's your bad. I asked can we bring the car back and trade it for the exact same car that was 4100 cheaper, he said well we would have to appraise your car, basically since you drove it off the lot, it's not worth as much as you paid for it so it really wouldn't benefit you. I have called numerous times to talk to someone in the finance department only to get voice mails. I have tried numerous times to get in touch with a manager, only to get the run around on the phone. Plus, there is a 1600 charge that no one still can't tell me what it is for. If you really want a Hyundai, and if you most go to Oxmoor Hyundai, just don't use Kris Johnson. I have since seen horrible reviews for several different ones, so not sure it's even worth using that dealership at all. I have read reviews that said they screamed a people telling them to get off their lot. WTH? I guess they need customer service training or anger management. I have already lost them 2 new car buyers and they might have cheated me out of 4100, I will try my hardest to make sure they lose as many sales as I possibly can. Tom & Kita Barnes More

We kind of knew what we wanted but Joe showed us all the options we could select. A week later after talking and selection of the car we wanted he had it ready for us to pick up. Joe called us after a week and wanted to check in with us how the experience with the car was. They lied t It was a nightmare as soon as we drove off the lot. I say we, because me and my husband both leased brand new Sonata's about a week apart. They lied to us and said everything they could to get us to lease the cars. We both had trade ins and told them we did not have money down at the time. A couple days later they called saying I still owed the down payment for my lease and I told them they were wrong and complained to the manager. They did take care of the error and gave me some free oil changes but it didn't stop there. They specifically said Hyundai lets you get out of your lease when ever you want and just walk away. They didn't say anything about any early termination fee or penalty. My husband now gets a company car with his job and wanted to return his lease and now it is a different story. Their employees would never tell someone something like that. Well I know all my friends and family are going to believe me and I'm going to make sure everyone knows. More
Worst New Car Purchase EVER!!!! My wife and I dealt with salesman Tom Tichenor looking for a new Hyundai Santa Fe on March 31 of 2014. We test drove a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. My wife and I dealt with salesman Tom Tichenor looking for a new Hyundai Santa Fe on March 31 of 2014. We test drove a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. My wife and I were in the market for a new mid sized SUV and had been looking since the New Car Show at the Fairgrounds. We were emailed an offer to receive a $25 Visa Gift Card for a test drive from Hyundai and we gave the completed form to Tom Tichenor immediately after the test drive and asked him to handle it and he assured us that he would as he stuffed it in to his right front pocket. The next day I called Tom Tichenor and asked him to find out what the VERY best price he could offer the Santa Fe to us for. He informed me that he was off that day, being Tuesday April 2, 2014 and asked if he could deal with all of this in the morning when he was to return to work. He told me that he would call at 11AM that day. I ended up calling Tom at Noon on April 2, 2014 only to be told that he was dealing with Time Sheets and that he would call me back in ten minutes or so. Over an hour later I ended up calling Tom AGAIN and we worked out a price. I offered a credit Card to hold the car and Tom accepted. I do NOT know why I continued dealing with Tom Tichenor when my gut told me to ask for another sales representative but I did continue to deal with him. My wife and I ended up arriving at the dealership at around 4PM with a pre-approved status from the bank, THREE HOURS later we go back to the Business Office to sign paperwork for the purchase. Wouldn't you know it ALL the pricing was wrong and to the dealerships' favor of course. Once corrected we found another $598.90 added on for what was listed as "Special Benefit Package" and we were told that the $598.90 could not come off the price because everyone had to pay that price. At this point we were late getting our child to an appointment so we signed and moved on. I would have paid a grand to get out of there at that point and they knew it and they used that to make another $600 on the car even after we had agreed on a FINAL price!! RIPOFF!!! Know that the purchase is over we are still waiting on the $25.00 Visa Gift Card from Hyundai because Tom Tichenor NEVER completed the form and returned it to Hyundai. We filed another request through the offer website and were informed that the dealership would submit for payment within 10 days. Guess what, NOTHING! So I called Tom Tichenor on April 18th, 2014 and he told me that if I needed $25 that he would give it to me out of his pocket. He did not remember any form that we gave him. I said great, thanks and hung up. He proceeded to CALL ME BACK and LIKE A 2nd GRADER asked me why I had an attitude. I told him what the problem was and he proceeded to tell me NOT TO COME AND GET THE MONEY THEN and that I WOULD NEVER GET THE MONEY, HE WOULD MAKE SURE OF IT! WOW, what a xxxx idiot!!! A grown man acting like a spoiled little 6 year old. FOOL! DO NOT DEAL WITH OXMOOR HYUNDAI and For SURE NOT WITH TOM TICHENOR. WORST EXPERIANCE EVER!!!!! More

I appreciated the fact that Chris took the time to make things right, and stuck by his sales team. I would come back to this team! More
Was assigned a sales person named Evan. I made a good faith offer (and he insisted on a solid committed written offer). They countered wanting more $. I went up about $300. They played the "let me che faith offer (and he insisted on a solid committed written offer). They countered wanting more $. I went up about $300. They played the "let me check my manager" game. And we could not agree on terms or price. So I left. They kept calling me the next day and finally this Evan guy texts me. Saying please come back, we can make a deal. So, to be clear and up front (and to avoid wasting my time), I text back my precise offer, w an out the door final cost. He says come on in we can work it out. The old bait and switch. Then Evan starts with a new #, higher than day before. Then a yet another #, even higher than the one he "offered" 2 minutes ago. Geez. Why call a customer back in? If the offer is not acceptable, be a man, say so, shake hands and have a good day. It's a business. Instead he engages in pathetic "psychological warfare." You're being "extremely unfair" he states. Please, you sell cars. There is no "unfair" The dealership has the upper hand, always does. And they make a very healthy margin. I make it clear that my offer stands and politely say I'm sorry Sir, I have a budget. And it's okay if we don't come to terms. This Evan guy stands up and says "Get out of here!" and I'm shocked. "What? This is how you treat your customers?" Because we can't come to an agreement, you lose your temper and actually kick a customer out of the dealership? It was the strangest behavior I've ever witnessed from a sales person in a dealership. They usually keep their cool. They play games and they stretch the truth or avoid being direct... but I've never encountered such a hair trigger reaction to simple lack of agreement on price. It was bizarre. Never in almost 30 years of buying cars. And not in the best interests of Hyundai (or the entire Oxmoor Auto Group). I have 2 children who need cars. One right away and one in a couple years. This reflects VERY poorly on the entire company and will cost much more than the $300 difference in price we haggled over. I have 8 aunts and uncles and they have teenage children. It's an old story. I would urge all customers to be very wary of Oxmoor Hyundai's business practices. The incident is likely a symptom of some underlying issues that calls into question the integrity and honesty of the entire sales team. None of my employees would ever be permitted to treat our customers in such a disrespectful fashion. They would lose their job right away. More
My father and I began an investigative process to find my "perfect" car. From the moment we stepped on the lot, I felt very comfortable. jo introduced himself, I told him a price range and he just took it "perfect" car. Save your time and nerves. I found a 2006 diesel service truck with a utility bed and 56,000 miles on the odometer in an Oxmoor advertisement. After calling to make sure the truck was still on the lot I dro truck with a utility bed and 56,000 miles on the odometer in an Oxmoor advertisement. After calling to make sure the truck was still on the lot I drove from Northern Kentucky to Louisville to view it. After my original call I received a return call from an Oxmoor salesman by the name of Steve who told me when I got there to ask for him and he would show me the truck. Upon arrival I found the truck parked in the front corner of the facility just off of the Shelbyville Road curb. After locating Steve the salesman, we went outside in the 32 degree weather to view the truck. The only warm thing about me was the money in my pocket to buy a much needed truck for my business. Asking if it would be possible to put the truck in a garage bay out of the weather where I could do a good inspection of the vehicle, I found that was my first mistake which pi**ed off the salesman. When in the bay I detected that my questions further provoked Steve and I found him condescending with an attitude that said “just write me the check and let’s get on with it”. He gave me no information as to my questions. Because one of the boxes in the utility bed was exceptionally rusty and looked like batteries had been stored in it, I asked where the truck came from, what it was used for and other run of the mill questions like, why was the engine service light on? ( If you were a dealership would you put a vehicle on the lot with a engine service light illuminated?) He stated that they only had the truck for a couple of weeks but as to my question, why did the truck have out of date license on it that had expired over a year and a half ago? He again had no answer. In my opinion, for the following reasons, I felt that the odometer had been tampered with being it only registered 56,000 miles. I found the brake pedal had substantial wear on it, the engine was extremely dirty and the truck’s six tires were well worn and of different brands. This is not to mention the rusty utility bed boxes and tail gate that was broken. The advertised price on the truck was $19,000.00 and when I asked what was his bottom price “boy” did the fangs come out. He stated that when dealers put the prices on the internet, that is their bottom price. He came off like the expert in the room with his 25 years of experience of salesmanship and no one else knew anything. “Well people” at the age of 76, I have probably bought more vehicles than Steve has sold. I was told among other things that the juice had already been squeezed out of the grapes and that the sales person could not negotiate price. But still he asked me to make an offer. When I asked him to take me to the man who had the authority to authorize a deal his chin dropped to his chest. But he did take me to the sales manager who after a private conversation with Steve, told me the truck was a unique truck and the price was over $20,000.00 out the door. My response was that I was not in the market for a unique truck but one that was serviceable and useable for my business. Consequently I thanked them for their time and left. In conclusion I was a serious buyer who had met a salesman who did not know how to sell. I found him distant, agitated at my questions and with a bad attitude. I’m sure everyone has met him some place, somewhere and at some time. More
