I bought a used car from Oxmoor Ford 6 WEEKS ago and still do not have a car. Do not buy your next car here: • After researching the car, I asked Oxmoor Ford to check it’s transmission BEFORE I would s still do not have a car. They agreed to. • The NEXT DAY, after the transmission had been approved by the service department, I returned to purchase the car. I was pleased with the professionalism and the way my salesman, Wyatt, treated me. • 3 DAYS after purchase, the transmission began to slip. I called my salesman who could not get a manager to call me back. • 5 DAYS after purchase, the transmission went out. I called and asked for a manager, but no one called me back. • 1 WEEK later, I called to let them know I was filing a complaint with the Kentucky Vehicle Commission. A manager called me back within 10 minutes. They sent my car salesman out to “drive it back” to the dealership. (Did I mention that I’m female? So naturally, I have no clue when I said the car wasn’t drivable.) He tried to drive it back to Louisville, but had to call to get it towed. They got me a loaner while their mechanic determined what was wrong. I thought they were going to make this right and held off filing my complaint. • 2 WEEKS after my purchase, I called and got a 2nd “manager” on the phone who said that the part needed for the car was not available and wouldn’t be in the near future. They agreed to refund my down payment and let me out of the loan. I was irritated but satisfied they had righted their wrong. • 1 MONTH after purchasing a car (2 WEEKS after cancelling the deal) I was negotiating another car purchase (at a dealership not associated with Oxmoor) and couldn’t qualify for a loan because I already had a car loan. Oxmoor NEVER CANCELLED MY LOAN. I called back and talked to a 3rd “manager.” • Every time I call Oxmoor, I talk to THE MANAGER. But it’s never the same manager. And they never have any idea what my situation is. • I work out of my car at multiple schools in two school districts and still cannot buy a car. It’s been 6 WEEKS. And I can’t even go elsewhere to shop for a car. I did not want to leave a bad review OR file my complaint with the KY Vehicle Commission. But now I will do both. More
Terrible management here! Do not care about their customers, or their pride in inspections on used cars. Do not buy used anything here. Their response when I brought it back...."You're lucky it drives." The manager seriously said that. Wouldn't even let their mechanic take a look to make sure it wasn't something they missed and forgot to disclose when I bought. More
