I met Jim Powell through internet sales. This is the 3rd vehicle I have purchased from Ourisman- previously Tischer when I first purchased in 1992. He listened and made every effort to accomodate the specific make and color I requested(LX manual shift commuter car). Jim was patient, honest and knowledgeable. After a week of dealing with sellers in PA, NJ, Easter Shore and Delaware (where I now reside); I finally contacted Ourisman. Jim was the only dealer who did not waste my time telling me that a manual shift in my color and price would be challenging then offer me something I did not want. He did not harrass me via phone and email but did make it clear that he wanted my business and assured me he would earn it. He did! Jim found the car and had it delivered to test drive the next day. I am loving my new LX manual but more importantly I am LOVING the mileage I'm getting (I am averaging 37 mpg 1 mile above the 36 mpg listed:-) Yes I read the reviews of the competition (Hyundai, Kia and Ford). I did test drive them all but for my money, I chose to forego the bells and whistles and stuck with what I know. This is my 4th Honda; and with a 138 daily round trip to work, I need a car I KNOW I can depend on. No trade ins. We still have a 2001 Accord and 2005 in the driveway for our teens. Thanks again Jim! Mike and Isaac were amazing. These guys were total professionals and went above and beyond even after we drove off of the lot. My wife and I went in and purchased a 2012 VW Sportwagon. Initially, we professionals and went above and beyond even after we drove off of the lot. My wife and I went in and purchased a 2012 VW Sportwagon. Initially, we installed an upgraded after-market navi through the dealership (it was not the VW equipment found in the VWs). In the end, it just did not work out. We did not like losing some of the steering wheel controls and there were some issues with the bluetooth. Mike and Isaac were great in helping us get the original equipment reinstalled. Further, Isaac kept on the look-out for new VW brand upgraded navis for us. That allowed us to go back and get the navi we wanted at the time of purchase. Also, we had our battery go dead for an unknown reason about 6 weeks after purchase. Isaac called us to have us bring the car in to have it checked out, just in case, to make sure there was nothing wrong with the car. These guys are in the sales department, not service. I have never had a dealership (sales department) continue to make sure the customer was happy months after purchasing a car. Typically, from my experience, one you sign on the dotted line, the sales staff is on to the next customer. Not at all what we experienced from Ourisman. I highly recommend this dealership and when the time comes, we will surely purchase our next car with these guys. The only regret I have is that we bought our first VW from Fitzgerald! haha Thank you Mike and Isaac! More
I came into Ourisman pretty nervous as I had never bought a new car, only cheap used ones. I had never purchased or leased a new vehicle before, and so I thought it was going to be a pretty intimidating exp a new car, only cheap used ones. I had never purchased or leased a new vehicle before, and so I thought it was going to be a pretty intimidating experience. I first met the gentleman (Darryl? It kills me that I can't remember his name because he was so nice and knowledgeable) who showed me the Jetta I was interested in and was totally no pressure about any of it. I told him that I would be limited by my finances, but he and Isaac (hilarious guy and very honest about my options) both worked out a way for me to get to a monthly payment I could afford with the New College Grad program. Although I did have a little hiccup with having to come back to resign the lease, Debbie was great, patient with my total lack of mathematical skill, and helped me every step of the way. I've had the Jetta S for 10k miles now and I've loved it. I just had it serviced for the first carefree maintenance, and the gentlemen in service were great too! It was quick, and they explained everything perfectly. I'm pretty confidant when my lease is up I'll be returning to Ourisman for purchase another Volkswagen! Ben C. More
VERY VERY SHADY! (PLEASE READ!) My girlfriend VERY VERY SHADY! (PLEASE READ!) My girlfriend recently visited this dealership and was looking at a new Jetta. She test drove the vehicle at seve VERY VERY SHADY! (PLEASE READ!) My girlfriend recently visited this dealership and was looking at a new Jetta. She test drove the vehicle at several places and decided to e-mail her sales rep for their best price. She was quoted in an e-mail their best "out the door" price and was happy with it. When we went back to Ourisman of Laurel, the salesperson had the correct price but when the sales manager came into the room, he had a brand new set of numbers to show for the final price. His number was several thousand higher than their "out the door" quote was. He immediately began to say that the salesman made a mistake and that he shouldn't have quoted that price. After 10 minutes of running around and asking the salesman questions about how he quoted the car price, the sales manager said he could "almost" give her the internet quote but he would have to include a $345 fee that was overlooked. After discussing this so called "fee" with the sales manager and how the dealership should honor their internet sales price, he wouldn't honor it. My girlfriend was still getting a decent deal but if it was me, I would have been out the door. Second part of the story....When we went into the finance office to complete the deal, the finance officer - Joe, spent about 30 minutes looking up her credit score and was "crunching the numbers" He finally began to break down her car payments and they were much higher than she anticipated. It turns out Joe was giving her a finance rate of 5.9% with a credit score of 750! Volkswagen is running a special incentive of 1.9% if you qualify and with a credit score of 750, she definitely qualified. When asked about this special rate, he acted as if this was news to him and hadn't heard of this offer. He starts to type away on his computer again and says he can honor the 1.9% rate and that it must be a new incentive. (It wasn't it was being offered for several weeks before she began looking) This dealership is completely shady and I would recommend staying far away as possible! I would never buy a vehicle from this dealership. More

My first visit to Ourisman Honda of Laurel was in October 2010. Although the dealership did not have the 2 door Accord V6 (manual)at the time, the salesperson, Paul Morin, contacted me in November 2010 to i 2010. Although the dealership did not have the 2 door Accord V6 (manual)at the time, the salesperson, Paul Morin, contacted me in November 2010 to inform me the automatic was available, and was welcome to test-drive. I immediately loved the V6 during the drive, but yet it was not a manual. Being an avid "stick" driver, I insisted my next car must be a manual. In January 2011, Paul contacted me again with the news that the coveted 2 door black Accord V6 (manual) was in stock and ready to test-drive. A few days later, I drove that black Accord V6 manual off the dealership lot, and have thoroughly enjoyed it since. I have received countless compliments on the car; from complete strangers to family, friends and coworkers. Since the purchase of my vehicle, I have referred a friend to Ourisman Honda of Laurel. I was very pleased with the customer service that I had received from the associates. After coming in at 6:30pm at night, and wanting to drive off the lot that same evening, the representatives really cam received from the associates. After coming in at 6:30pm at night, and wanting to drive off the lot that same evening, the representatives really came through for me. I stated what I wanted as far as make and price, he showed me the inventory, which wasn't much, but I understand being that you sell Honda's, and I was off running or driving. He let me take care of what I needed to take care of and then come back to the dealership to finish the process. I definitely recommend this dealership to family and friends. More
