Highly recommend Congressional VW Mazda, my first time buying a vehicle here and it won't be my last. The service I received from Juwann, Joey, and Dana from finance were first-rate. I was purchasing a new vehicle and VW GTI was on the top of my list, I went to A VW dealership in Gaithersburg, the service was good but the price was over the top (over MSRP). I went to check out my other choices like Mustang and Infiniti G37. The service at the Ford dealership in Gaithersburg was very bad after hearing that I wasn't purchasing a Mustang on that very day and promptly showed me the door, so I walked out. I went to Jim Coleman Infiniti in Bethesda where I received excellent service. That was Monday and I planned to go back to Infiniti to seal the deal the next day on a G37S. However at about 6pm on Monday Juwann called from Congressional (my zealous friend recommended Congressional and gave Congressional my contact information along with a request for a quote a few days prior). I went without any expectation as my mind was very much set on the Infiniti. A few days later I walked out with my VW GTI, Joey handled the sale and he was the best salesman I've come across, very helpful and friendly. Dana handled the finance and he made things a breeze for me, couldn't be any happier. The car has been fantastic too! I could say more here but I don't want to babble on, I know that one person's experience isn't conclusive but it was exceptional and I recommend a visit to them if you are shopping for VW or Mazda, I think very likely you'll have similar experience as I did. Joey Stevens was such a pleasant, humorous, patient person. We didn't have to deal with any sales "pitches" and he was very knowledgable, relaxed and upfront about price. He let us test drive the Mazda5 in various conditions for probably an hour, again with no pressure. Although we LOVED the car we ultimately decided on a minivan because it's larger. Jimmy's great salesperson to work with. He listens to his customers, doesn't pressure searches for alternatives both in stock and at other dealers. The ONLY negative was when Jimmy turned us over to the financial guy so that we could finalize the purchase. They were busy (end of month & end of model year), but the 2.5+ hour wait to pay for the car seemed excessive. Then we were hit with a super hard-sell for extended warrantee coverage. After feeling absolutely no pressure from Jimmy, this was extraordinarily frustrating and the only downside of my transaction. I wound up spending money that I didn't want to spend because "no" does not mean "no" in that room. (But in fairness, Jimmy didn't have anything to do with that part.) Overall, I'd DEFINITELY buy another car from Congressional VW/Mazda - but I'll be mentally prepared for the hard sell at the end of the process! More
