Even though I am not in this category of people, I am like most Americans who have a negative attitude than going to a car dealer to purchase a car. I was looking for Lexus-LC 500 for 4-months at every Lexus dealer within a 500-miles radius. Some tried to make me pay a down payment for a car they do not yet have in their lot and even do not know when they will get one. At last, the LC 500 I wanted was available at Ourisman Lexus of Rockville, Maryland. I have bought multiple cars, and this is the second Lexus I bought in the last 2 years. Given this background, this is one of my best experience I ever had purchasing a car. I got minimal-hassle and fair deal mainly because the interaction was low-pressure, minimal stress and relatively transparent (for car purchase). The salesperson Pei Pei was friendly, willing to listen, responsive to my needs, and persistent. She answered all my questions and has been accessible throughout the process. I received a follow-up call after the purchase from Pei Pei asking me if I have an issue with the car and if there is any help I would need. When picking up the car I was asked if I needed some technical tutorial about the car. I dismissed it since I believed I could sort it out without any help. I agreed to talk to Bernie Kitts (technology specialist) just to be courteous. Outright, I realized I was wrong and out of my depth. Bernie is not only a technology expert but has passion for cars and is very well spoken. He helped me to set up the multimedia system and programming the options. He went above and beyond what he was supposed to help such as looking under the car to see if certain items were properly installed. It was so enjoyable talking to him that my son wished he was our neighbor. To sum, I had an amazing experience at the Ourisman Lexus of Rockville. The staff was friendly and tried to ensure I had a positive experience. I didn’t finance the purchase, however my experience with finance was smooth and easy. I interacted with multiple dealers and they all have different “dealer installed accessories.” In most places they frame it as something that are already installed and try to force you to pay for them. At Ourisman Lexus these accessories were not included in the initial price quote. They came up during price negotiation and I accepted the ones I liked and refused others based on my perception of value and price. I found this a much better approach for customers. I highly recommend the Ourisman Lexus of Rockville to anyone looking for new or used car. More
