I let them know I was upset because there was no notice. I was told I would have to wait 45 min to speak yo a manager but there was nothing I could do and that they were sorry - not okay in my book More
I went in to get my car serviced for 2 recalls, and the day after I got my car back, the check engine light came on and my car was driving funny. Upon inspecting my car, I saw that there were 2 bolts miss day after I got my car back, the check engine light came on and my car was driving funny. Upon inspecting my car, I saw that there were 2 bolts missing from my tire and my tire was crooked and coming off!! What gross negligence! Had the tire come off, I could have been in a serious accident. More
My Mom's 2010 Kia Forte' needed a battery which I installed. Just to be sure I had the charging system checked and it failed for Alternator. We needed to get it Inspected as well so I took it to Fair installed. Just to be sure I had the charging system checked and it failed for Alternator. We needed to get it Inspected as well so I took it to Fairfax Kia to grant my 85 yr old Moms wishes. I made sure to give the dealer the printout if the bad Alternator. I got a call and was surprised that the: "main battery cable is the problem". Well, it may have had some stiff cladding and may have been less efficient over 14 years. However, out of 17 cars I have owned, I have yet to have replaced a main battery cable. Then the quote came. $2000 for the cable and Alternator?🤔 Then it dropped to $1600 w/o even a second to think or ask anybody😒. Then $1450? I had to get irate as I knew the whole time it was a $340 to $440 Job for the Batt Cable. Finally I was given $840 total for all 3 things I needed done. That sounded right and I agreed. Except it's an extra 3% at the register if you use a credit card. So find a 3% cashback credit card to offset the payment games on top of the Ballistic repair pricing attempted by Ourisman Kia of Fairfax. Having to fight for a price that 2 other Kia dealers LAUGHED AT!!($2000/$1600) But; I knew instantly what was up. BTW this kind of attempt at gouging just started happening now that Fairfax Kia was bought by Ourisman. I did appreciate it at pickup time when a very professional female service manager took care of me. I can't in good conscience give more than 2 stars due to the service writer. Practices that encourage doubling pricing are what gives dealers a bad name. I don't ever want to argue to get the real price again. I will not deal with David again and probably will have to move on to another dealer. My mom is 85. Taking an old lady's money is the lowest of low practices and never happened before Ourisman took over. This is the max rating I can give them. Again. The service manager was great. My advisor wasn't. I purposely showed up when I knew David would not be there. Sorry Fairfax Kia but the ends do not dismiss the means. There is no excuse for trying to take an old ladies retirement on an easy repair. Nuff said. A 1 star experience fixed by the super-nice service manager upped my rating to 3 stars. More

If there was a -1 rating, I would give it to this dealership. I purchased a 2014 Kia Soul from this dealership in July 2022. The vehicle started having issues with overconsumption of engine oil dealership. I purchased a 2014 Kia Soul from this dealership in July 2022. The vehicle started having issues with overconsumption of engine oil from month 3. After spending thousands of dollars to fix this perpetual problem (at this dealership and another), i was informed that the engine needs replacement (costs estimated at over $9000). This is unacceptable. I brought in the vehicle for this issue to be rectified...again... and the service team only changed the oil and requested that i drive it another 1000miles (further damage to a damaged vehicle with mechanical warranty on it). I would not recommend this dealership for purchasing a vehicle unless you bring your own mechanic to inspect the vehicle you are purchasing. More
Don't get service done here! Dropped my car off for service problems early on a Saturday and after having my car for hours they called to tell me the repair and the costs and tha Dropped my car off for service problems early on a Saturday and after having my car for hours they called to tell me the repair and the costs and that they were NOW CLOSED and that I could pick up my car after a 3-DAY WEEKEND. Zero communication for hours and then this. Nope. Never again. Got a second opinion on the repair costs which were way less and some of the "issues" noted were not even a talking point on the second opinion I got. Skip this place. More
I don't ever write reviews, but I actually give this place a zero. I had an appointment to get my car serviced at 1pm on a Saturday. Even dropped it off early. Oil change, tire rotation, brake job, co place a zero. I had an appointment to get my car serviced at 1pm on a Saturday. Even dropped it off early. Oil change, tire rotation, brake job, complimentary point inspection...yada..yada...yada. They said it would be ready by 5pm, which is when they close. I received a call after 4pm that day and the young boy working the service counter, Andrew, asked if I still needed the car that day. I told him I absolutely needed to have my car that day, since they are closed on Sundays and needed to be at work early Monday morning. He said, and I quote, "Ok, no problem sir, we'll go ahead and knock that out for you. We'll give you a call once it's finished." NOPE. He called back at 5:10pm, telling me my car would not be finished. Even tried to tell me the technician got started on it and would finish it up Monday morning. I pleaded with the boy and then he said he'd get me a rental. Then he called back and said he couldn't get me a rental since the rental company was closed. I went back early Monday morning and they had JUST started working on my car! I was so pissed! I was completely lied to. I didn't get my car back until after 12pm on MONDAY and basically missed a whole day's pay. On top of that, their services are overpriced. I'm never going back here even for the "free oil changes"! I agree with everyone, over the last year or so, the quality of service has diminished drastically at Ourisman Fairfax. I don't even blame the kid that I was dealing with. I don't like to be lied to, but it starts at the top. As long as there are no changes in management, training, and customer service this place will continue to lose business. Not to mention the parking is terrible, but no where near as terrible as the service I've endured all weekend. More
New ownership has not resolved any of the service problems listed here! I dropped my new vehicle off for an oil change first thing in the AM, told it would be ready in 1 1/2 hours. I responded that problems listed here! I dropped my new vehicle off for an oil change first thing in the AM, told it would be ready in 1 1/2 hours. I responded that I could not get back until 12 noon. At 1:15PM I called the service department, on hold for 15 minutes, no answer. I called again and could not get an answer, so I called Sales and of course they picked up. They transferred me to service at which point they took my car in for the oil change. I am still waiting to hear when it will be ready... Please note that the service girl that took the initial intake was very knowledgeable and efficient. More
