And here are tidbits from a text chain that wasted 5 days of my time. . . From Christian, sales manager: "You reached out at the perfect time as I need to sell some cars! My best price on the 2024 Accord of my time. . . From Christian, sales manager: "You reached out at the perfect time as I need to sell some cars! My best price on the 2024 Accord EX will be $30k OTD. It's an UNBEATABLE price! Can you make it in today?" That really is an unbeatable price. Turns out Ourisman didn't seem serious about selling it, not at that price. Despite numerous requests, they would never put the offer in writing, then they said they had sold the car (although it was still listed on the webpage). But, good news!, they said the were getting another one in two weeks and cannot reserve it but will honor the same price. I accepted, and said I will buy it immediately, before it comes in. I didn't want it to get away like the other offer I had also accepted. That's when Dom said, "Well unfortunately we cannot close a deal on an incoming unit and at the price he gave you he cannot reserve the unit. However, if the car arrives and it is on the lot he will honor the pricing." Hmmm. I wrote back, "I don't understand. You say, "if the car arrives" -- do you no longer know if you're getting the car? And when you say, "if it is on the lot" does that mean you would take it off the lot to keep me from purchasing it? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm just trying to get a bit of certainty as to the way you operate your sales. It's a bit unusual for me. Every other dealership I've ever approached when purchasing a car immediately sent me a one-page sheet with all the car information. Since Ourisman's practices are not transparent, I'll need your help breaking your code. I want to buy the car as we've agreed upon, but you seem to be putting up a lot of roadblocks and I don't know why. Thanks very much." The response? No response. These guys are the reason car dealerships traditionally had a bad reputation. I thought that nonsense was over. Well, at Ourisman Honda the above is what you should expect. I would never recommend them or do business with them. I ended up buying the car, not from Ourisman, but from Safford Brown Honda. They were awesome. Transparent and ethical from start to finish. I can't recommend them more highly. Did it cost more than the "UNBEATABLE" (and UNPURCHASABLE) price from Ourisman? Yes, because it was legitimate and available. More
The sells person was ok. Financing person was horrible, he said that in order to get a better interest rate we needed to buy a $3,000 warranty. Sales team will sell you a car and then never follow up with information you need. Jimmy is probably the worst sales person to deal with. He will call you everyday, but once you have bought the car they ar with information you need. Jimmy is probably the worst sales person to deal with. I purchased a car in August and am still awaiting the title. They have told me several times that I should receive it in a week. Most recent communication, they attempted to blame the delays on my fina title. They have told me several times that I should receive it in a week. Most recent communication, they attempted to blame the delays on my financial institution. I called my financial institution only to discover that the statement was not true and that the delays are within the dealership. Instead of taking responsibility and making it right, they choose to deceive me and blame another source. While the car buying experience was not horrible, the service after they receive your money is horrible. I will NEVER purchase from this dealership again. They also have a F rating on BBB. Should have checked there first. More
Excellent costumer service. They answered all my questions online before I arrived. Once I arrived, I received 5 start treatement. The car was waiting up front. They were ready They answered all my questions online before I arrived. Once I arrived, I received 5 start treatement. The car was waiting up front. They were ready with the application, and helped financed the portion that I was unable to cover. I was offerred coffee several times. Although, it was Badye Ladhari that came with me on my test drive, the rest of the team was ready to help once we returned to the the dealership. Mr. Badye was a very helpful throughout the process. I came back after closing time becuase I was unfamilar with the car, and once again they took time to help me understand all the features of the car before I drove off with my car. I have only had the car for a day but so far so good. I am enjoying my new purchase but most of all I am grateful for the pleasant experience of purchasing it with Ourisman Honda of Tysons Cornder. Thank you all. I'll be happy to recommend my friends and family to your dealership. More
I am very pleased with Zach Weathers help. I knew nobody else there. I did get 5 stars assistance from him, very warm and professional. Besides his help, I know he has a very good personality. Beware that you will charged 3% if you use your credit card to pay for service at this dealership. I was not informed of this new change in their policy and learnt this at the time of payment. I am extr card to pay for service at this dealership. I was not informed of this new change in their policy and learnt this at the time of payment. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of transparency: this should have been flagged to customers at the time they drop the car since this is a new policy starting August 1st, 2023. If I knew this in advance I would have brought my check book. So I had to go back home to get my checkbook and make another trip to pick up my car. I was told the service advisor was supposed to inform me when I dropped my car for service, which did not happen. Finally the service is 1 out of 10. Staff is unfriendly, not courteous, and nobody would come up to ask what you need when you drive your car in. Manager declined to speak with me about the new credit car service fee. The only nicest and most helpful person is the shuttle driver. I grt much better service at a small Exxon or Shell garage. More
On 6/22/23 I made an inquiry on cars. com about a 2020 Honda Accord. Miguel Santos was the the salesman that contacted me. I explained to him that I was interested in the vehicle but I was com about a 2020 Honda Accord. Miguel Santos was the the salesman that contacted me. I explained to him that I was interested in the vehicle but I was 250+ miles from the dealership. I asked him if he could check the vehicle out for me for scratches, dents, odors in the interior from smoking. He said he would and sent me a video. The video was taken and it was slightly misting. He said the car had no scratches, dents, stains or odors. We agreed on a price and financing terms. So after working all night on 6/23/23, I got off work on 6/24/23 in the morning and made the 250+ mile drive up to the dealership. I wasn’t at the dealership long to say the least. I walked in and Miguel walked me to the car. I was IMMEDIATELY beyond pissed when I saw the vehicle. I am not exaggerating when I tell you there was not 1 body panel that did not have deep scratches on it. On the roof of the car it had deep scratches through the clear coat and paint all the way down the metal. I asked him “did I not ask you to look the car over for scratches”. He replied “it was dark”. It was not dark when he took the video, it was overcast and misty. Ray Charles himself could’ve seen the scratches, especially on the roof of the vehicle. Well then the manager came out and looked at the car, he said he would get his detail guy out to the vehicle because those scratches would buff out. I called BS on that. I’ve done detailing on vehicles and trust me, those scratches would not buff out, in my experience over 75% of the car would’ve needed to be repainted. I’ve never seen a car in all my years as scratched up as that car. The manager then said he had a few more used 2020 honda accords. They went inside and I saw another used accord while I was waiting and walked over to it and it was scratched all up to. To be 100% honest I should’ve left immediately but I didn’t. Miguel came out and said they had another 2 accords they wanted to show me. One with 26k miles and one with 40k+ mikes on it. I told him I didn’t want to see the 40K mile one but show me the 26k mile one. Upon checking out the 26k mile accord it too had deep scratches on it as well, not as bad as the first one but still bad. I immediately left and started my ride home. On a personal note….Miguel, from the bottom of my heart I truly appreciate you wasting 10+ hours of my weekend. To the manager who I didn’t care enough to get his name, how in the world do you expect people to pay twenty thousand plus dollars on vehicles that got into a fight with a sandpaper factory? More
