Went to have a spare key made and buy floor mats. Both of the service people and the front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant. They even checked my tires and all the fluids. Even with no appointment on a Thursday afternoon, all was taken care of - oil change, check all points, had transmission oil changed, car washed wonderfully, ready for the long week of a driving vacation and taken care of - oil change, check all points, had transmission oil changed, car washed wonderfully, ready for the long week of a driving vacation and out of the dealership in no time. When she picked up the car the check engine light AND the air bag light were on, but they were not on when we brought the car in. They informed her the air bag sensor was bad and would cost $170 to fix it. What I wanted to understand is why it came in with NO service lights on, yet miraculously left with 2 on. I firmly believe they saw a young woman and took advantage, trying to get more money. The manager was rude and unhelpful when I spoke to him as well. He felt all I was after was free service. I would not take this car back there if my life depended on it. All I ever wanted was to understand WHY or WHAT they did to cause these lights to come on. I wanted them to admit this was their fault instead of implying we were the bad guys here. I asked for him to talk with the mechanic and call me back to help me understand what happened to cause the lights to go on, yet I never got that return call. The lack of professionalism and integrity in this service department is unprecedented. For the Honda name, I was more than disappointed. More

This dealer's service is very good. I drove 20 mile one-way to this dealer to use their service department. I feel very confident leaving my car with Shockley Honda. They are very accommodating, taking my car even when I didn't have an appointment, and the service is complete and thorough. How do I know it's complete and thorough? because the service adviser explained everything to me in plain English so I walked out of there understanding not just what was done, but quality of my vehicle's parts. Also, they don't play games either. They never tried to scare me into doing extra work on my car. Overall, I have a very positive feeling with Shockley Honda and would go back again, and would recommend them to others looking for a good dealer service department. More
I had work that needed to be done, I called Shockley with two quotes from other places. I talked with Gail Sterling; she assured me it would be less to have the work done at Shockley. Gail kept me appraised on the status of my car, she was very professional and courteous. When the work was complete, Gail called me and had a shuttle from Shockley to pick me up. I was able to get a total of 4 things completed for less than the quotes I received from the other places. Thanks for having Gail on your team there at Shockley More
Both rear wheel bearings in my 2007 Civic SI were diagnosed as bad by another Honda dealership. That dealer attempted to charge me $700+ to do the replacement. When I asked what would make BOTH wheel bearings fail at the same time I was told: You probably hit a pothole. Given the stupidity of the comment I chose not have have the work done at that dealership. On the suggestion of my daughter I called Shockely (the original seller of the car, but not convenient for service). I discussed the problem with the Service Manager and Chris Drennan, Service Advisor and was informed that both bearings would be replaced under the terms of the 5 year/60,000 mile drive train warranty. The work was done today, the car is in terrific shape, and the overall experience was terrific. I highly recommend Shockley and would recommend the dealership to all. More
I was in deep trouble. I changed a flat on the road and left my "key" lugnut 150 miles away on the ground beside the road. I needed to get my doughnut off immediately and get my tire fixed and changed but left my "key" lugnut 150 miles away on the ground beside the road. I needed to get my doughnut off immediately and get my tire fixed and changed but had no way of removing the nut. I took a chance and drove to Shockley's service department unannounced and they took me immediately. Service tech Elvis found the right "Key" and removed all my locking lugnuts (one had been severely damaged by the last person to change my tires and it took him half an hour to get it off) without complaining. When I asked to service manager for my ticket so I could pay and leave he replied, "Oh, there's no charge for helping out a Honda owner." I was flabbergasted. I thanked everyone in sight and went on my way. By the way, I did not buy my Element from Shockley, but if their sales office is as customer friendly as their service, I would highly recommend shopping here. Also, if you need an all-around vehicle that you simply cannot hurt no matter what you haul or whatever driving you encounter, get an Element. More
