We were greeted promptly and professionally, and in a friendly fashion. We were very satisfied with the time it took to complete the deal and drive away with a new car. Would definitely recommend the D friendly fashion. We were very satisfied with the time it took to complete the deal and drive away with a new car. Would definitely recommend the Dealer and Juan to another potential customer. We would definitely buy another car from Shockley and Juan. We drove 145 miles for this purchase after checking the Dealer's reputation. More
On July 5, 2010, my wife and I attempted to but 2 vehicles….a Honda CR-V and a Chevy Corvette Honda CR-V even in excellent condition should be around $7500 (price between retail and private party) vehicles….a Honda CR-V and a Chevy Corvette Honda CR-V even in excellent condition should be around $7500 (price between retail and private party) It was listed at $7991 Corvette – $23500 (again between retail and private party) It was listed at $25991 We discussed a trade in Hyundia Sonata – good condition – retail = $13550 – trade in good condition = $8825 Let’s do the math – 23500+7500 = 31000 minus trade = 22175……I asked for 22k and was willing to go to 23K – no discussion was really even offered. I did overhear some salesperson manager asking our salesman, in quite a nasty manner, if we should just get it for free. The dealership’s first offer on the Sonata trade in was $7800……when the “final” price came back, the trade in had dropped to $5800 A 2003 Corvette Z-06 with 31k miles at Criswell is only $27506…….far better model and 4 years newer – only $2500 difference?? ?? I think the most interesting thing is that the Vette was listed on the internet for $24991 and the dealer didn't want to sell it to us for that price - he wanted to sell it for the lot price of $35991 More
I bought my civic in 2004 and had a great experience. They were patient with me and explained all the details. This was the first time I had ever bought a car. Although I probably had a big "sucker" sign on my forehead. I realize now how I ended up getting a great car for a good price. I have never had any trouble with my car and dealer maintenance fees were not more expensive than other places in town. More
I was interested in buying a new car, and asked for a quote over the internet. Emily quoted me a very good price. When I called around to other honda dealers, they said that it would be very wise of me quote over the internet. Emily quoted me a very good price. When I called around to other honda dealers, they said that it would be very wise of me to take the price she gave. Everyone was extremely friendly and nice!I would most certainly recommend this dealership! More
Because of my long commutes I purchase a new car about every 2 years. I live in Frederick but I usually buy my cars at the big dealers closer to Washington DC or Baltimore. These large dealerships have every 2 years. I live in Frederick but I usually buy my cars at the big dealers closer to Washington DC or Baltimore. These large dealerships have volume incentives so I usually find great prices. I went to test drive the Honda Civic at Shockley because it's close by. Their online quote was a little higher than the other dealers I was looking at but Juan refused to lose the sale over price. They beat the best quoted price I had from another dealership and gave me a fair price for my trade. My only criticism was that their advertised prices aren't a little bit lower. I had a great experience with Coy (a salesman who helped me when we were looking at cars for my wife), my salesman Juan, the very kind Pat in finance who secured an excelent loan rate, and customer service rep who called me to make sure everything went well. I like the dealership because while it's pretty small they have an excellent inventory, a big brand new service area, and they are friendly. Thanks More
We've purchased two cars with Shockley and have had nothing but a positive experience. Friendly staff and great prices (we paid over a grand less for our car than we would have at other places). We h nothing but a positive experience. Friendly staff and great prices (we paid over a grand less for our car than we would have at other places). We have very particular tastes in cars (we prefer manual transmissions) and they've always managed to find ones for us when other dealers could not. We're willing to travel a half hour from where we live to work with the Shockley Honda staff. More
Summary: we agreed on a price for a Honda Accord and I paid a deposit. When I was supposed to pick up the car, they told me I had to pay an extra $750. They don't dispute that we had an agreement for the paid a deposit. When I was supposed to pick up the car, they told me I had to pay an extra $750. They don't dispute that we had an agreement for the lower price. The details are below. I contacted the Shockley Honda internet department to purchase a 2010 Accord EX-V6. I was quoted a price for the car and called to confirm the price, financing terms, color, and delivery date. The sales person (Emily Moore) confirmed the price ($22275+ TTL+freight for a total of 23,796 out the door) and financing terms (1.9% for 60 months). When we spoke, Emily told me that she accidentally quoted me the 2009 price, but that she would honor the deal if I made the purchase. I paid a $500 deposit via credit card and she agreed to have the vehicle ready two days later. The next day, I received an email stating they were having trouble finding the color I wanted and I responded with an alternate color choice. The day that I was supposed to pick up the car, I got a call from Coy Chaney who said he would work on finding the alternate color. Later during the day I was supposed to pick up the car, a sales manager called and told me that the price was going to increase by $750. I later spoke to the general manager (Bill Devine). Bill said he was sorry that they had agreed to the lower price, but he was no longer able to honor that agreement. He said the salesman should not have offered me the financing rate and the price that she did. He told me that I could either pay more or not get the car. Bill stated that Shockley Honda has the right to change any agreement until you drive the vehicle off the lot. You should be afraid to deal with this dealership that refuses to honor its agreements.
