I had visited my local Honda dealer in York, PA and was ready to make a deal with them but they did not have the model in the color I wanted. While my salesperson offered to find one for me and I complete ready to make a deal with them but they did not have the model in the color I wanted. While my salesperson offered to find one for me and I completed the financial application and was approved, I did not receive a call back within 24 hours, and when I called my salesperson, he didn't seem to motivated to do anything. Since I already did the test drive and knew what I wanted, I went on-line and found what I wanted at Shockley Honda. I requested an internet quote which was quickly replied to by Mallory. And, the offer was so much better than the York offer, I was able to purchase the EX model instead of the SE model. Everyone was friendly, pleasant, and accommodating and made the purchase almost pleasant. I say almost because it does still come with a payment plan, you know. LOL. You cannot beat the 0.9% financing that Honda is currently offering. We are very pleased to have made the trip down to Frederick for our new Honda. Thank you all--Duane, Mallory, Jennifer, and Tim! I had never been to Shockley Honda before so this was my first experience. I new what model vehicle I wanted and had already been to two other dealerships. I was unimpressed with the dealership as a whole. For one thing, their sales staff is extremely pushy; I was there for less than half an hour, and I ended up with business cards from three different sales pe thing, their sales staff is extremely pushy; I was there for less than half an hour, and I ended up with business cards from three different sales people. I was also pressured to buy the first car I test-drove, regardless of whether I felt it met my needs or not; I explicitly told Mr. Kidwell that I didn't care for the vehicle, and he still tried to sell it to me. Also, when he took my driver's license to make a photocopy, he forgot to give it back, and I left without it and had to go in the next day to get it back; even then, the gentleman I spoke to wanted to sell me a car even though I told him I was in a hurry. Overall, I don't feel that the dealership valued me as anything more than a potential commission. However, I have to give them credit; their prices are competitive, if nothing else. More
