Our first Pilot, a 2007 model that was serviced exclusively at the Shockley service center, has been a very reliable vehicle. That's the reason we looked at the Honda Pilot as our new vehicle. The crew at Shockley Honda has always been professional and welcoming and this new car purchase experience was no different. Gary Brooks - The Honda Dude, our sales representative, was not only professional - my husband and I think he's a Honda genius - but very personable and accommodating. He certainly helped us decide to buy our new Pilot from Shockley; him and the excellent service we received over the years from Shockley's Service Center. Thanks to Gary and all the awesome Shockley crew that helped with our purchase; in particular Mattie (I think) the accessory sales person, our finance person and new vehicle gadget professor (unfortunately I can’t remember their names) were all extremely helpful and a credit to Shockley Honda. Earlier that day I called and was told that ser I am greatly appreciative to Mr. Summers for getting our car serviced within limited time constraints. Earlier that day I called and was told that service hours were until 4:30. Technically that is true but it doesn't take into consideration the work flow already in progress. I had brought the CRV down for an oil change and subsequently learned we had missed the 45000 mile service which includes far more than changing the oil. I arrived around 2:45 or 3 pm from Sharpsburg. Rather than turn me away the oil change, rear differential fluid, replacement of the battery, tire rotation and balance, cleaning fuel induction system where all accomplished this visit thereby saving me another trip. During the service time I was able to use the shuttle to go to Verizon on the Golden Mile to take care of other business. Great experience and use of time. More

tire warranty information and service I called on a Friday to obtain information on the tire warranty supplied when I bought the car. I waited 10 minutes then left a message with the recep I called on a Friday to obtain information on the tire warranty supplied when I bought the car. I waited 10 minutes then left a message with the receptionist to have service call me back. No call back. Called again the same day 3 hors later and waited 20 minutes then left another message for service to call back. NO CALL BACK. Called back on Monday and asked to speak to someone about my tire warranty, and the receptionist checked with someone and said I had to call the manufacturer, Good Year. I explained the sidewall blew out while on the highway and the tires were the original tires that came with the car. Again she checked with whoever and I was told the same thing. Good Year on line says to contact a Good Year dealer, which I did and was told by 2 dealers, they only warranty the tires if they sold them and I would have to go back to the dealer. I wasn't even given the chance to talk to anyone beyond the receptionist. What a great disappointment this experience was. I won't bother wasting my time calling for service again. More
