We dealt with salesman Chis Curry, He was efficient ,knowledgeable, and friendly. We could not have been more pleased with the experience. We liked the fact that Chris explained the whole process to us in lame man terms. Loved Chris did not pressure us.He knew exactly what we were looking for and our budget! The whole process was Extremely pleasant. More

I really appreciated the time she took with me and actually encouraged me to make a decision I needed to make. My experience with Bill was awesome he took his time with me, we took the Honda Fit that I bought out for a test drive, while Shawn worked getting me financed so I could make the purchase I made. All of the people I interacted with were very polite and professional and knew what they were doing and had to offer. When you're made to feel like the people who you interact with truly care about you as an individual and not just another sales contract, it really makes a difference. I met Mike Shockley the day after my purchase and spoke with him for quite a while he was very receptive and welcomed me just as the others the day before. Definitely an awesome experience. More
Not much help with Paint Peeling (Honda Pilot 2014) I would not even give one star to Shockley honda. The paint on top of my HONDA PILOT (2014) is peeling and I you must go to a dealer to fulfill the requirements from American Honda. Yes, I did not purchase my car from Shockley but you would think I would be treated with respect and honesty as if I had purchased my car from this dealer. In response to the public response received by Shockley Honda. Within the first sentence I will call out that this is not my paint issue. This is a Honda paint issue that continues to be neglected and pushed under the radar so that it does not become public. Now onto your statement regarding your advocacy for the Honda paint issue. Please let me know if I received improper counsel from your staff and Honda that in order for someone to put a claim thru Honda I must speak with a dealership-True? Because both Honda and your dealership mentioned this was the required process and I can forward that email to you. Now onto some other interesting points I would like to make the Paint protection warranty you mentioned I was able to reach out (Simoniz) and addressed the paint issue and even sent them a picture. They were able to confirm that “we would not have been able to cover this issue; paint protection warranty protects the surface of the paint against bird droppings, tree sap, hard water, etc.” If I had purchased this warranty that you suggested if would not have been covered and they would not be able to assist with the Honda paint issue that we are trying to address. My only hope is that all the warranties that have been currently sold to customers were explained properly. If you would like the contact information to verify I would be more than happy to supply. I don’t believe you went to “Bat” for me. I did not purchase my vehicle from you and you did the minimal and required steps in order to satisfy your requirements from American Honda. In closing, to the paying customers that purchased your car at Shockley Honda in the last couple of years please be prepared for these statements: I know that I sold you this car but I did not have prior knowledge of the paint issue. I will deny there is anything wrong with the paint. It must have been something you had done. I will not stand behind a product I represent – I am only here to sell and service the vehicle. I am truly sorry for the customers that are going to go through this ordeal and to the future customers: More
NEW EDIT: Get a root canal w/o anaesthesia instead EDIT 3/28/2019: After writing this, I was called by the sales manager, who quite pointedly wanted me to change this review "We get more customers this EDIT 3/28/2019: After writing this, I was called by the sales manager, who quite pointedly wanted me to change this review "We get more customers this way". It was much akin to going to a fast food restaurant, them getting your order wrong, and giving you a free ice cream as a "Please don't make a scene". I know that these reviews are getting viewed either by Shockley themselves or Honda, and commissions/bonuses are given. Apparently, if you sell 800 cars, it doesn't matter if you get two reviews of 100% (while everyone else doesn't fill it out) or 800 100% reviews, you're still golden. Further, I highly doubt Shockley *could* have "given me" anything that would work, considering I already purchased their scotchguard variant and their extended service plan. Speaking of the Scotchguard, I purchased it, and had to schedule an application. Normally, this would be given to someone who would call me back. I had to call them (remember this, because it makes sense later) in order to schedule something. I was scheduled for Friday, 3/22. I get on a bus at 5:45am. Shockley doesn't open until 7. I had to make various plans to drop it off and get back there. Thursday night I drop the car off while Shockley was open, and Friday I find a way to work. On the way back, I call the dealership up 20 minutes out of Frederick, only to be told that "No one is available, right now". It is currently alternating between being blustery and a downpour. 45 minutes later, I get a call from someone who picks me up. I am taken to Shockley, where it looks like a 1/4 of the staff is having a family fun night and playing Bingo. I find that there are bits of what can only be described as clear goop on the edge of the door. The only available service guy (who because of poor upper management has missed his family dinner) comes out, and says that it might be that the scotchguard application wasn't wiped off, and that he doesn't want to peel it off, in case it mucks up the paint. I am told "Can you come back on monday? The guy doesn't work on weekends, and no one else can access the system." Remember: I have no way to get there reliably due to timing. After some back and forth, I tell the guy that I will figure it out. 20 minutes later I am home, and receive a call that the scotchguard application WAS NEVER DONE (a piece of paper was never given from person A to person B), and that I have to reschedule. I am told that the guy once again, doesn't work weekends, and no one else can touch the system. When asked if I could get a loaner car, I am told that I can at the cost of $40 a day, and while he recognizes Shockley screwed up, only the guy (who is once again only m-f) can petition for Shockley to cover it. I had my car back on Wednesday 3/28. I purchased the car two and a half weeks ago. LET ME REITERATE: The front-line "grunts" (as I'm sure the owners view their employees) are excellent. They are put in a xxxx situation between wanting to do good by people, and having tyrants for owners. Having multiple single-points of failure, being shady with rationale of reviews, being shady with pricing and even allegedly going so far as mandatory charging their employees for the "free keurig" coffee by allegedly mandatory payroll deduction all point to a systematic, vile cancer that is their ownership. Mr. and/or Ms. Shockley: you wanted me to change my review? Here's your change. P.S. Shockley: You have an incomplete listing of staff. Better fix it so they can get their cherished bonuses! ------------------------------------------------- OLD: I used to be in wonderful hands at shockley, but they ended up (for whatever reason) letting go/getting rid of the only people that I trusted. The person who made my appointment to turn in my lease didn’t listen. When I said I wanted to explore options, she responded with a patronizing “well maybe you’ll leave with a new car.” The sales associate was great once we leveled and got on the same page with each other. He had to do some haggling on my behalf, which is xx that it had to be done in the first place. WITH THAT SAID, I don’t take that as a ding to him at all, but rather to the dealership — Mike is great guy, will go to bat for you. If cars are your thing/forte, plan on having a great experience. The finance manager was pleasant and worked fast for the ancient and seemingly macguyvered system Shockley has. No problems with him. The feature advisor, Josh F., was awesome in going through each of the features the new car had, and could easily compare “apples to oranges” between the previous car and the one I ended up with. The fact that I was heavily recommended against turning in my tags with Shockley (by other customers and some employees, not my salesperson), and that I risked getting fined by the state (and the dealership probably not recompensating for their own fault) was ridiculous. Overall: it’s a car dealership More

The only thing better than the car was the salesperson and the dealership. Chris knew exactly what we needed, put us in the perfect car, and made the whole process efficient and fun! Everyone at Shockley was great to work with. We've had a number of cars over the years - and this was our best experience by far. Can't say enough good things. More

The pricing was great and I really enjoyed the test drive with my sales associate Chris Curry. He was funny and personable and also showed me a route in Frederick I was not aware of. The financing with Frank was quick and also somewhat enjoyable considering you're dealing with money. I felt like the team worked with me and for me throughout the process. More
