I couldn't get an appointment with Bowie location - so tried Alexandria location for the suggested work. Rep came back saying I needed rotors resurfaced, blah, blah blah! A Dishonor to the Jeep Brand The second time attempting a Jeep repair at this location proved to be just as much of a mistake and waste of both money and time as the first. Both o The second time attempting a Jeep repair at this location proved to be just as much of a mistake and waste of both money and time as the first. Both of my experiences at Ourisman Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Alexandria were start-to-finish disasters marked by service advisers and administrative personnel who displayed lack of product knowledge, poor communication, rude conduct, and, worst of all, complete apathy. I first visited for an extremely basic repair that required little more than ordering and affixing a few cheap foreign plastic parts that had fallen off of the original Wrangler soft top. However, even this minor issue ultimately required me to return to the service center multiple times because no apparent repair was actually performed on the vehicle the first time. To be clear, the service adviser notified me to return to the service center to retrieve the car even though no work had been performed. The process of repeatedly returning to the dealership was costly, time consuming, and frustrating. The service adviser's lack of communication and clarity about repair time expectations worsened an already lamentable experience. The most recent visit involved only a quick examination of the vehicle to determine the source of a heavy exhaust fume odor. Perhaps the worst aspect of this visit was the service adviser's intentional neglect to make explicitly clear in our conversation that the service center would charge me $174 regardless of whether the Jeep required repair. Had this policy been explicitly stated, I would never have agreed to let the dealership service center rip me off in place of a local auto shop offering the same evaluation faster and for free. In fact, the evaluation I received from a local auto repair location in Arlington yielded almost identical results in ten percent of the time, only it did not cost me, and the employees provided highly detailed descriptions of their methods and findings. Additionally, the Ourisman service representative Rafael Ramirez attempted to charge full retail price for the replacement radiator for a grand total of over $1500 with installation. A local auto repair service representative was able to find the same price for a factory price of approximately $300 for a total of only $600 with installation. Both the Ourisman cashier and service center leader expressed nothing more than apathetic and evasive replies when presented with questions about the service and charges. To the Ourisman staff: You are a world-class disappointment, and your dismal rating serves as only a glimpse into your devious personalities and damage to the Jeep brand. Jeep leadership would be so disheartened if they witnessed your operation. I wish you only the worst throughout the duration of your exorbitantly priced yet extremely valueless operation. More
