Purchased a 2011 RAM 1500 - EXPRESS truck. Original sales experience went well. When I arrived, Salesman and New Car Manager honored pricing previously agreed to over email. New purchase and trade-in sales experience went well. When I arrived, Salesman and New Car Manager honored pricing previously agreed to over email. New purchase and trade-in Financial paperwork went smoothly and without delay. * Returned approx 2 weeks later for installation of "WE OWE" items: tri-fold tonneau cover and underbed liner. Darlene Breeden was very helpful and even provided a Logo / Brand hat for my having to wait a little longer than originally told. * So far, my experience with Lustine has been great; and would recommend to anyone asking for recommendation on Dodge / RAM products. I was in the market for a 2011 Jeep Wrangler. Their inventory is good, but I had trouble trusting the management at Lustine. I received a price quote online that they promised to respect if I came in inventory is good, but I had trouble trusting the management at Lustine. I received a price quote online that they promised to respect if I came in and took the car for a test drive. I did that and the salesman (Donnie was very polite and good to work with) but when the manager (Matt) came in, he didn't respect the price given. I even printed off the $250 coupon on their website and was promised I would get $250 but Matt comes to me and offers me a price $500 above what was originally shown on the quote. I still agreed to take it but he comes back AGAIN to raise the price, now more than $1000 over what was quoted. I got mad and stormed out and never contacted them ever again (and ended up buying a the jeep i wanted at Fair Oaks Dodge and Jeep in Chantilly). Even the way the management talked to me, I didn't feel like I was respected. The management made me feel as if he couldn't care about my business. More

The dealership is the worst I have ever been too. And what is worse is that in order to get the star rating up on the web, mike engle sits at his computer and replies to the reviews with 5 stars. STAY AW what is worse is that in order to get the star rating up on the web, mike engle sits at his computer and replies to the reviews with 5 stars. STAY AWAY!! First, let me say that I am a Federal Contracting Officer with the authority to spend tax payer funds with no limit to my signature authority. I live and die by ethical conduct and if my honesty and/or inte with the authority to spend tax payer funds with no limit to my signature authority. I live and die by ethical conduct and if my honesty and/or integrity is in question, my worth in nill. I say this because I do not practice nor tolerate dishonesty, trickery, or unethical conduct, etc. In dealing with Lustine Dodge, I found some of the most deceptive and dishonest conduct I have faced in a very long time. My wife, who spends a lot of time researching purchases before we commit, did her homework on a 2011 Dodge Caravan that we wished to purchase. She went back and forth between Lustine and another dealership, finally settling on Lustine as the best deal. She and I worked with Ron, who we found quite enjoyable and receptive. However, when we emailed Ron, suddenly Matt began to answer Ron's emails and "took over" the expected purchasing process. To make a long story short, we went to Lustine to purchase the vehicle AFTER Matt stated the bottom line price, in writing, and telling us that we could come right in and get the vehicle (this is on June 30, 2011). I had to take four hours of leave from my job, which at this time of year is not an easy thing to do, drove 40 miles home from Arlington VA, then back to Woodbridge (Lustines). Now, for those in the Metro Washington area, you know what traffic was like just ahead of the July 4th weekend. I had spoken to Matt at approximately 12:15 while I was at lunch to tell him that my wife and I would be a little later than 1:00pm and he wanted to know if we would be at Lustines by 3:00pm. I assured him we would. We arrived at approximately 2:20 and met Ron. He was not in a very good mood and shortly we found out why. The vehicle we were to buy had been loaned out...for a week, but was due back that evening. So...all of the time that Matt was telling my wife and I to "come on down", the vehicle was not even on the lot, it was in the possession of someone else, and after summoning Matt, he wanted to go ahead and complete the sale, no matter that the vehicle was not present. We would not get to test drive the vehicle, we would not know if smokers had used the vehicle, we would not know how many miles the vehicle had been driven...nothing. When I confronted Matt about why he did not call me (all he had to do hit was the little green button on his cell phone and the instrument would have dialed my number for him) all he would say is that he knew I was already on the way to Lustine. The arrogance of this individual knows no bounds; his ethics when dealing with customers has no measure - it is nonexistent, and his dishonesty, well, there is none present. Is this harsh, yes. Matt had no business leading my wife and I on, knowing that the vehicle was not even available. We have numerous emails and one phone call trying to get us to the dealership. Ron tried to complete a deal after all of this but alas, the GM still wanted to levy the old processing fee of $399.00 on us saying he could not "get around" this (this is after Matt assured us, in writing, that this fee would not be charged), thus, they lost a sale and any future business. I meet a lot of people during my travels back and forth - the good old Washington commute - and I assure Lustine Dodge that I will tell every person about this experience and maybe, just maybe, I'll preclude others from having to endure this type of treatment at the hands of a dealership's management that needs some serious customer service training. My overall experience at Lustine was excellent. We worked with a Used Car Salesman named Kelly. He was professional, friendly, helpful and knew his products very well. We bought a 2010 Chrysler 300 worked with a Used Car Salesman named Kelly. He was professional, friendly, helpful and knew his products very well. We bought a 2010 Chrysler 300 the same day we went in. We would definitely go back to Lustine because of the very friendly and helpful staff. Kelly is an excellent used car salesman. He went the extra mile to make sure we were very satisfied and had a very good attitude. More
We went to this dealer because they had the specific Jeep Wrangler I wanted (having reviewed all the Jeep dealer inventories in the immediate area online). I went online, entered the vehicle I was intereste Wrangler I wanted (having reviewed all the Jeep dealer inventories in the immediate area online). I went online, entered the vehicle I was interested in, and requested an online price quote. Darnell called us early the next day and said he would find the specific Jeep we were interested in, and would call back to let us know if it was still available. He called, it was, and we went down for a test drive. As this is our third Jeep Wrangler purchase, we really didn't have many technical questions, but Darnell was very familiar with the vehicle. Those questions we did ask, for which he didn't have an answer, he was more than willing to find someone who had the answer. They offered the Jeep at a decent price, and offered us a fair price on our trade-in. The only glitch occurred with the paperwork - we signed the preliminary paperwork, which spelled out the price for the new jeep, our trade-in price, taxes, title/plate transfer, etc., but when we went to sign the final printed paperwork, the bottom line was a thousand dollars higher than the price to which we had signed/agreed on the preliminary paperwork. When requested to see the original paperwork, we discovered someone had changed a number, resulting in the thousand dollar increase. When we pointed out this mistake to the finance rep, she didn't know who had changed the numbers. When called in, the dealership GM insisted that there had been a mathematical error and that we owed the thousand dollars more that we had originally agreed/signed. When we pointed out that if there was a mistake in the addition, it had never been explained to us or an explanation offered up as to why. In fact, had someone come to us, explained that there had been an addition mistake, and asked us to initial a change in the figures, it would have been fine. But to have to discover this mistake ourselves, and then to realize that changes had been made to figures for which we had previously agreed and signed, was untenable. After much discussion, and being the fair individuals we are, we agreed to split the difference. An otherwise pleasant car buying experience was nevertheless, tainted by that 15 minute discussion wherein the dealership GM tried his best to bully us into just accepting responsibility for his error. I would caution all, that as with any transaction you make in life, be sure you review all the figures, ensure translation of all written figures to a printed contract are the same, and ensure that you review everything in the contract before signing. As a final note, when we discovered we had left a CD in the old Wrangler, we texted Darnell and he recovered the CD for us. I can't say enough about his enthusiasm, professionalism, and good humor. Highly recommend any and all to use Darnell for their new/used car purchase. More
Initially when Jeep called I gave this dealership a 9/10, a week later I made sure I called Jeep back and changed the rating from a 9/10 to a 0/10. I went to Lustine to buy a new Wrangler. they had the colo a week later I made sure I called Jeep back and changed the rating from a 9/10 to a 0/10. I went to Lustine to buy a new Wrangler. they had the color I wanted and gave me an e price that was exactly what I wanted. When I was ready to buy they started to claim they couldn't honor the Eprice, they would have to charge more plus there would be tax and fees. I was not willing to budge and said honor the Eprice which I was financing and Id pay 2500 down for tax and these "fees." I am from Washington state so I am thinking 10% sales tax =2k and 500 for fees. They finally agree to honor the eprice and I pay 2500 in addition to the Eprice. I now know that sale tax in MD is 6% meaning they got over 1k in stupid fees. That's my fault though I should have done my research. What really pisses me off though is a few days later reading through my stuff I realize despite telling me to my face I was getting the Eprice they actually charged me $500 dollars more. Make sure you read everything before you sign. I was young and dumb, I am military and didn't think they would lie to me. The customer service only got worse, my salesman said he would call me the next day to make sure everything was working fine with the Jeep. Never got the call, voicemail, nothing. I bought some aftermarket work. I was told I would get a call to set it up, ten days later no call and when I read the receipt it says you have 30 days to get it done or it becomes void. I faxed over my insurance information the day after buying my Jeep, and emailed finance to confirm they got it and to ask some questions. Week goes by no response so then I call the finance department, get an answering machine leave a message asking for a call back. 48 hours later no call back, no email. I then decided to call Mike the general manager. He at least answers. I tell him I am unhappy with the lack of communication. He apologizes says they are busy and understaffed. Really? If I had called or emailed saying I wanted to buy a Jeep I would have gotten a response within an hour guaranteed. Instead 10 days later I am forced to call the general manager. Mike turns out to be no help, makes excuses, he assumes they got my "information," still haven't heard back if they did. I then start to ask my questions I have such as when do I get my plates. He says well you need to get an inspection in MD (I had called an auto shop earlier in the week and they said new cars don't need the inspection). Mike then admitted he wasn't sure. At this point rolling my eyes and decide to just give up. I wish I knew who the owner was so I could give him a piece of my mind. More
