Buying a car from a dealership is one of the most painful experiences in life and Lustine is no different. My husband asked our salesman (Michael Ballard) where the spare time was located, without hesitation Michael said in the front of the car underneath. Last week my husband realized there was no spare tire so he called Lustine and left a message for a "mannager" whom never responded. Two days later I called and spoke with Matt La Page who promised to speak with Michael and call me back the same day. He did not call back. Yesterday 08/18/15 I left a message for Jason the General Manager, again no return call. Today I called Chrystler, Plymouth Dodge Customer Service 800 number. Spoke with a very pleasant woman who kept putting us on hold, after 30 minutes we were told this car does not come with a spare tire and it would cost $360 to purchase a spare tire. This lovely customer service rep kept repeating all inclusions on the car are listed on the price sticker, the fact that the sales rep deliberately withheld the truth and Nina who sells additional options on new cars never mentioned we might want to consider a spare tire (more sins of ommision). Nina sold us leather seats, top coat, under coat, heaters for leather seats and tried to sell thousands of dollares of other "Options" but never once mentioned a spare tire. I have never heard of a car without a spare tire, surely there must be a safwety law about this. After nearly a week of deception and down right being told this entire incident is because we did fully read the price sticker, we have decided to purchase our own spare tire but certainly not Lustine. They will never get another penny of our money and I will let anyone I know who is shopping for a car not to go to Lustine. Lustine lacks honesty, reliability, responsibility and integrity. We are seniors who had not purchased a new car in 12 years, in my opinion that makes this incident even more despicable..... Upon deciding to look further in their vehicle up grade program, I was introduced immediately to Mr. Basil who greeted me with a big smile and Pleasant friendly demeanor. We got right to the point and started looking at 2015 Dodge Rams . He took me to a storage lot with a multitude of choices. I decided on the one the I liked and made a deal with positive equity on the trade-in. Mr. Basil is very knowledgeable and extremely customer friendly. He even called me when I didn't transferred my EZpass and other personal sentimental items from my old truck and extended himself to hold them for me until I got back from a business trip. He made sure I got them back. For a hassle free and friendly sales experience one couldn't get any better sales professional and definitely should ask for Mr. Basil. He makes auickly makes things happen..... I really got a great deal. More
Integrity We had reached a point were we had agreed to the trade in value for my 2 cars and the price for a Mustang. Even though it took almost 2hrs I was very happy they had worked out a deal. But after we had shook hands they wrote up the invoice and added $995 recondition fee on top of the $599 processing fee. Obviously the deal wasn't good enough for them. The point is not the price, I have no problem with there pricing (very competitive) it is the fact that instead of just saying we cant give you that price they pull a move by adding $995 to processing. Upset, I went up to the manager and told him that was a sly move, he said good luck finding someone else to give you that price for your cars. More
low advertised price changes do not recommend going here. i live 200 miles away,saw a ad for a jeep wrangler for 19 k.i called and talked to used car manager and asked why was it do not recommend going here. i live 200 miles away,saw a ad for a jeep wrangler for 19 k.i called and talked to used car manager and asked why was it 4k less than other places,he said thats how they price things so i went to enterprise to rent a car to go buy it.i call ed about 4 times to ask about jeep and was told its nice just come get it,like i was 10 minutes away.i am at car rental place and call one last time for them not to sell and total price.i was told 19 k for jeep processing fee and taxes and tags and a recondition fee of 15 hundred dollars,i said what is that for never heard of such a rip off.was told thats how we sell cars .i told them forget it and called back to talk to general manager he said that certifies the car for 100k miles,said chrsler has a 7 year 100k mile warranty from factory.he said if i like the jeep what difference does price matter,its only 17 dollars more a month.if i would not have called and ask final price i would have drove 6 hrs for a 15hundred and on.i came home and read reviews and glad i did most all were not good at all.please be careful there are other places that are honest More
