Ben, We deeply regret that we did not meet your expectations. As you might know, everyone in the sales department gets paid on commission so it is not our goal to end up without a sale. On very rare occasions, personalities can get in the way of obtaining our ultimate goal; exceeding our customer’s expectations and delivering a new Chevrolet. I think that may be part of your discontent. Although every effort is always made to ensure accurate pricing, occasionally errors occur. I take responsibility for the initial error on your work sheet. I was working with multiple deals at the same time and I thought the truck I was pricing for you was a 12 not an 11. It’s an unacceptable error but was absolutely unintentional. When Ron brought it to my attention I corrected it immediately and lowered the price. Unfortunately, it was after you noticed it as well. We are very proud of our excellent standing on Dealer Rater as well as our customer satisfaction rating that is based on our customer’s survey returns to the manufacturer. Perhaps in your line of work occasionally you run into differences in personalities that result in undesirable outcomes. Clearly an undesirable outcome occurred here. We are not able to sell this truck at the price you asked for and you feel, understandably, that your time was wasted. We too invested a lot of our time not only to come up without sale but worse yet, a customer who we did not satisfy. I would still like to sell this truck at the price we discussed yesterday and further I would like to send you a $100 gift card in hope that you would take your family out for dinner or some other fun family outing to show that we are sorry for the time you spent here without buying a truck. Keep the gift card even if you decide not to return here. Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction and regrettably on a rare occasion we don’t accomplish our goal. I apologize for the experience that you had here. The reason that the paint does not match is due to the vehicle's previous paint job that was performed at another body shop. We refinished the front bumper that matches the right side of the car that has the factory paint, but it does not match the left side in which another body shop has painted. Geico has denied the lower engine shields under this claim that we repaired, but as a customer courtesy we will be covering the parts and the remaining rental while the shields were ordered and installed.
