TL;DR - Dealership not taking accountability for damage caused to my vehicle and extended warranty repair cost. I want to preface this review by saying I’ve been a long time customer of Orlando VW South for over 10 years and have been going to this dealership when it was back at the Americana Blvd location. Sadly I will no longer be bringing my VW here for anything anymore. I recently had my Tiguan serviced at Orlando Volkswagen South to address the sunroof drains when I noticed the passenger rear floor was soaking wet with water. The sunroof drains are known to be faulty (kinked/pinched tubes) because VW offers an extended warranty bulletin to fix the issue. My original visit to address the faulty sunroof drains was at the end of August, I paid the ~$200 service fee and was advised by the Service Manager (SA) that the drains were clogged. They cleared the drains and I was assured the issue had been resolved. A couple of weeks later I notice the passenger rear floor was soaking wet again. I notify the SA that the issue has not been fixed and he advises me to schedule an appointment which I did. I bring my vehicle back in and advise the SA of my disappointment from my prior visit results. I also mention the extended warranty bulletin and class action lawsuit pertaining to the sunroof drains. Later the same day the SA advised they cannot determine why water is leaking into the cabin of the vehicle unless they remove the headliner to investigate the drains. After I approve VW to remove the headliner for ~$650, they concluded the drain tubes needed to be replaced. VW replaced the drain tubes at no cost to me but refuses to pay for the cost to remove and reinstall the headliner. In addition, I spent ~$300 for mold mitigation detailing due to the water which they are not holding themselves accountable for. Now with the drain tubes replaced, water no longer leaks into the cabin. Lastly, when I came to pay and collect my car I noticed a palm tree trunk was laying below my vehicle. After inspecting my vehicle for damage as a result of the tree, I noticed there were some scratches on the rear bumper that I don’t recall being there before dropping it off for service. While the rear bumper did have some paint blemishes/scratches before dropping the car off, it is my position that new scratches were incurred as a result of the fallen tree. I reached out to the dealership for a response but they are ignoring my communications. I requested Orlando VW South to provide me with some type of proof, preferably video evidence, substantiating that the tree did not hit my vehicle as claimed by the representative I spoke with when I picked up the car. I have yet to hear back from them. The customer service at this dealership is non existent and recommend people to avoid this dealership if at all possible. More
