Overcharged Took my vehicle in to get an oil housing seal replaced. Ahmed first gave me a quote of 865.00. After I nearly fainted, he allegedly spoke with the man Took my vehicle in to get an oil housing seal replaced. Ahmed first gave me a quote of 865.00. After I nearly fainted, he allegedly spoke with the manager and brought it down to 550.00. When I arrived at the dealership, I spoke with Ahmed again and told him I found it way too expensive for the work performed. After all, it was just a seal. He proceeded to tell me that the minimum they charge for labor is 4.5hours. Had I been told that in the beginning, I would not have had the work done. I understand that the dealership is there to make a profit, but to completely screw the customer is outrageous. To go from 865.00 down to 550.00 shows me there is some room for negotiation and to think that they could not have done better for a simple 1.5 hour job, totally made me lose faith for David Maus VW. I have spent quite a bit of money over the last 3 to 4 years on repairs that, in my opinion, should have gotten a better price for the job. I will never take my vehicle in there again, or recommend it to anyone I know. I will post my dissatisfaction on all the social media I can. More
