Apparently the dealership believed that I had agreed to the $200 payment as compensation for them not fixing the door panels (I did not agree to this, however I did pick up the car and accepted the $200 check at that time.) In fairness (and because everyone at the dealership was extremely friendly) I updated the review to 3 stars. It is unfortunate that this miscommunication happened, however at least I understand how events transpired and why they are unwilling to remedy the situation. ** We purchased four vehicles at this dealership last month (One for my wife, my mother, my best friend, and one for myself). Unfortunately, while they were very friendly throughout the whole process they did not honor their contract for one of the vehicles that I purchased. The other three transactions were great and I really liked working with Laura (our salesperson), the sales-manager, and with Fredy (the finance guy). We had already completed the purchase of three vehicles and were looking for one more inexpensive vehicle. I test drove a VW golf and was ready to pass on the vehicle due to a sagging headliner and dirty/damaged door panels (the fabric was falling off and a dirty brown adhesive was leaking out of the panel). In order to convince me to purchase the vehicle they stated that they would repair both the headliner and the door panels. I agreed and we finalized the deal. A couple of weeks later they stated that they were unable to fix the door panels (despite the agreed upon contract) and issued me a check for $200 to compensate me (though this was not an acceptable resolution for me). They had fixed the headliner. The cost for the door panel repair (at least the only bid I have been able to find) is in excess of $1000. They will not cancel the sale (despite the fact that I clearly stated I did not want the vehicle if it was in it's current condition). They have made zero effort to resolve the situation and I was told that there is not anything else that they can/are willing to do. When they asked what resolution I would like to see I replied that I would like the contract that we had to be honored and the door panels fixed, or the sale to be cancelled as I clearly did not agree to the sale as it is now. I have yet to receive any reply. More
Lack of communication. Felt like I did something wrong and was getting scolded at by service advisor. Left numerous messages before I get a call back. In the end all worked out. Bought a brand new car has been in the shop 4 of 5 times New car in the shop 2 days after buying and 4 more times since not been fixed. Inconveniences as no rental cars offered every time u bring it it. St New car in the shop 2 days after buying and 4 more times since not been fixed.
