i went looking for a tdi jetta. immediately roger this salesguy popped up. he had almost no knowledge of the car. every question i asked like curb weight, he didn't know. i let that go as he was a sale salesguy popped up. he had almost no knowledge of the car. every question i asked like curb weight, he didn't know. i let that go as he was a salesguy and not a car expert. he asked what other cars i was looking at and i mentioned the prius and a few other high mpg models. he immediately started spewing misinformation about each model. i let that go as a typical bad car sales tactic. he lyed a few times, but i let it go. then i got to the finance jerk. this guy was a piece of work. as stupid as they come and wearing a fake rolex to top it off. he lied constantly to me, kept trying to rework the deal that was already done, and tried to con me into signing things i had already denied. then it got worse. my first service problem with it...i was told i was using old diesel..that was causing the car to shimmer and shake at idle. ironically i demanded they check the fuel system and they found a failed fuel hose, but kept insisting i was putting old fuel into it,and the fuel hose they damaged during service had nothing to do with it. i finally got fed up and told them i was tired of fighting and if they didn't admit the truth i'd take my business to aristocrat. there answer was and i quote.."goodbye, and good luck at aristocrat vw." then on the way out the jerk that drove my car over insulted me to my face and ran away when he say how pissed i was and realized i might beat him to death. i went inside and got no response from management over the insult. i called vw and complained. only then did management call and apologize and promise to treat me right and educate their employees on not suggesting things that weren't true. very unprofessional dealership. lying seems to be their forte. never again will i do business there. I had put a deposit down on an Eos in April and was told I would be followed up with on July 1 for a status. No one responded. I found out my original salesperson left and I would be reassigned one. When I would be followed up with on July 1 for a status. No one responded. I found out my original salesperson left and I would be reassigned one. When they got the first demo Eos, no one contacted me. When they got their second non one contacted me. I contacted the sales manager and said if this is any indication of how the sales process is going to go, I don't think I want to deal with you. His reply was fine, you want me to tear up your deposit check? I replied, please do. More
Why I would not deal with royal again is based solely on principle. The dealership and its' employees has a corporate culture of mislead, misprice and misrepresent. The dealship lacks integrity. After ha principle. The dealership and its' employees has a corporate culture of mislead, misprice and misrepresent. The dealship lacks integrity. After having been enocouraged to send credit card authorization to hold a VW, I was told three days later that the MSRP would not be as they had said. This was with my signature already on a pruchase order form. A purchase order that the salesman had created. So, the salesman created a PO only to change the price. Was i surprised. Yes. hurt. no. Business practices are maladaptive at royal VW. Buyer...please...be very much aware. More
I do not feel that I was treated with honesty. When asked whether the repair would be covered under certified warranty no definitive answer could be given. When contacted by the service consultant with the d whether the repair would be covered under certified warranty no definitive answer could be given. When contacted by the service consultant with the diagnostic report - I was told no repairs were made, only 'lubrication'. I was then told that b/c there was no 'repair' that it would not be covered under warranty. When specifically asked if I would be charged the $90 diagnostic fee, the service consultant stated that it wouldn't be the full $90. However, when I returned to pick up the car, I had been charged the full diagnostic fee. This was the most expensive 'repair' I've ever had for a non-repair! More
Be very careful when dealing with this salesman. I went in with cash and a trade in and another dealer was willing at sell me a brand new 2005 vehicle with no money down which when I told Roger, he to went in with cash and a trade in and another dealer was willing at sell me a brand new 2005 vehicle with no money down which when I told Roger, he told me that I did not want that car because it was not made as well as the VW. He ended up talking me into a 2004 Jetta with all my money ($20,000) plus my trade (2002 Jetta) and asked for an additonal $1000 down.) I agreed the I left to go pick up my daughter from a birthday party (while they "cleaned" the car I bought). They took all my money and had all the paperwork ready along with the car waiting for me when I returned. As I drove away, I realized that though the car I test drove looked just like the one I bought, it was not the same car I agreed to buy. The car I wanted had 17,000 miles on it and the car I drove away with had 27,000 on it. When I went back and confronted the salesman, he said that they could not work the deal on the car I wanted so they sold me the other car. I was not happy and expressed my feelings to many people there, after the sale was done and my check cashed, they all of sudden had no time for me. I would definately NOT ever recommend this dealer.
Pamela (Orlando)
More
