I don’t know how the other salesmen work, but if you get Brock, good luck. I was in the market for a 2022 Toyota Rav4 XLE Premium, Brock told me they had one coming in, but that they would charge $4,000 Brock, good luck. I was in the market for a 2022 Toyota Rav4 XLE Premium, Brock told me they had one coming in, but that they would charge $4,000 more than the MSRP price because of market adjustments. I told him I wouldn’t do that, and then he called back and said they would only charge $1,000 more. (First red flag) and he asked me to put a $500 deposit on the vehicle. I asked him many times to ensure me that it was fully refundable should I choose to go another route. He said “100% yes, as long as we have not signed any paperwork, we can refund it for the full amount.” So, I agreed and paid the $500 deposit. We planned to come in on Tuesday, 4/5, and I told him I needed to come in Thursday 4/7, because my work wouldn’t let me off early enough. Obviously when you’re in the market for a new vehicle, you have tons of dealerships reaching out to you. And in this case, one reached out to me for the same vehicle for not $1 over the MSRP price, and in the color I actually wanted. (When you’re spending $30K on a car, color matters.) So, I messaged Brock, and advised him I was sorry but I would be going another route. He then called me and asked why. I told him my situation and I ALSO APOLOGIZED. He then said “Well I’ll talk to my finance team and see wether we’ll be able to get your deposit back.”. I said “Um no, you clearly stated that as long as we hadn’t signed any paperwork, the deposit was refundable”. He then said “Well I could’ve sold this car 2 days ago, we held it for you.”. First of all, the market is crazy right now. Just to get a brand new car, you have to wait MONTHS because everyone is trying to buy a car, so I assured him he’d be able to sell the car, but he needs to refund me. I did not raise my tone once, or talk condescendingly. I hope they record the calls, cause I’d love to prove that I was nice. He THEN hangs up on me. I have never written a review. Not once in my life. But this was mind blowing and extremely unprofessional. He then texted me that he’d refund me but that he wouldn’t do business with me again, and when I told him I don’t plan to and told him he was disrespectful he laughed in my face. So, yeah, I don’t know any of there other salesman, but Brock is only out for your money and will NOT ensure you get a fair sale. More

Today March 29th I placed a new car ad in our local newspaper after removing it just days before since previous buyer could not optain financing. With in the next hour I had received 3 text messages inquiring about it of which I messaged back. One of them texted "I'm Interested in you 2021 Toyota RAV4 on KSL CARS. Is it still available"? I responded " Yes it is". He responded any accidents? Then texted again I would like to buy it. I can meet u at your bank or mine (Wells Fargo) near u. Can we do 34500 cash. I didn't respond since he called me 2 minutes later. Ask about the car I told him it was almost perfect shape it was my father in laws who passed away and had the title no loans. He said I want it I am with Brent Brown dealership will you take 34500 I told him that I had it sold previously for more and an offer also for more and that the least I would go is 35000 he said fine and that he knew what we had paid for it but was willing to pay that. I then said I don't need to sell the car but if you want it for sure don't waste my time. I asked if he needed me to bring it down to look over it and he said no and asked when could we meet? I told him I was golfing until 2 then we could figure out a time. He said he wanted to pull the original sticker but I had it and sent him a copy. I also sent him a copy front and back of the title and a picture of the extra key. Never heard back from him so sent him a text asking if " I am going to meet you at Brent Brown"? About 15 minutes later responded by text " So my boss just overrode me on this one. He does not want to be 2500 over. I texted back "I don't care what your boss said you said for sure you were buying it and I told three people that I already had sold I'll call your boss. I'll call Larry and have a chat with him". (Fyi a friend at another dealership said to call Larry he is the GM). Then he replies "Xle premium's range from 32000 to 34500. Its not my fault u have one that's in the lower price range. And if u want to threaten me this conversation is over. I dont care who u call. It wont affect me one bit.Then my text back " First of all I'm not threatening you second of all you were the one that offered me money for it you were the one that is a dealer had the Vin number knows what the car is and what its worth it's not my problem I don't work for Toyota I specifically told you if you don't want to buy it I don't care but you said yes I want it for sure I even asked if I need to bring it down to look at it and you said no you don't need to so don't get upset when I make a call above your head. He then texted " Your welcome to call whomever u like. It's a meaningless call. U also told me you had someone else who offered a little more than 34500. Why dont u sell it to them instead of wasting your time on a worthless phone call. After that I have not responded. I was going to call the dealership but since he said it is a waste of my time I decided I would just write this "meaningless" review. I don't believe Brent Brown Dealership in my opinion would approve of this kind of treatment especially Brent Brown himself ( who I have met personally). I personally have owned and operated dealerships and sold thousands of cars and never would I allow an employee of mine to conduct business in this matter. Sorry for the Novel but sometimes words are not better left unsaid. More
