Smooth transaction, flawless car and delivery. I went in with all my numbers in line and in full transparency gave them the deal that I wanted. The salesman appreciated my position and homework, and I got with all my numbers in line and in full transparency gave them the deal that I wanted. The salesman appreciated my position and homework, and I got the deal that I wanted without hassle. At no additional cost the dealer also provided nitrogen filled tires, full tank of gas and wheel locks. I am exceptionally pleased with this buying experience. More
I have just recently bought a Civic from Open Road's Honda dealership and was informed of the other locations as well as brands. My husband's 2011 Mazda 3 started to make some weird noises, so I decided Honda dealership and was informed of the other locations as well as brands. My husband's 2011 Mazda 3 started to make some weird noises, so I decided to bring it to the East Brunswick Mazda to get it checked out. I had made an appointment via the phone which was simple and painless. When I arrived for my appointment I waited for about 10 minutes all during which Dennis came and apologized for the wait. I explained the noise and they took the car into the shop right away. They said it might take awhile so they set me up with a courtesy car. I did not expect that at all, I thought I would have to wait for everything to be checked out. As I was driving the loaner I received a call from Dennis saying how they could not hear the noise but with my permission they would drive it around and change the climate and terrain to see if that would help identify the problem. I explained I would not be able to get the loaner vehicle back for another 2 hours, he then stopped me and said that I was to keep the car until me car was returned to me. I was thrilled to hear this. Long story short, when I picked up my FIXED car I was so happy with the experience that I told them I would be back if any other service problems occurred. For such a small service area, they surely make up for it in customer service! More
Lies, tricks. I live 2.5 hours away, but am looking for a Mazda3 in blue with the sunroof. I saw their car on autofinder and went on their website, made an offer. They emailed me back saying they were 'close Mazda3 in blue with the sunroof. I saw their car on autofinder and went on their website, made an offer. They emailed me back saying they were 'close' to my offer, and to come in. Via phone I specifically asked if there are any scratches, dents or anything like that. They told me no, it is in perfect condition. By phone and email several I told them I am 2 and a half hours away and do not want to make a trip for nothing. By phone they verified that they would accept my offer, and that I could take home the vehicle that day. When I got there, they would not take less than $2,000 MORE than my offer, plus I find that the car has a chip in the windshield, and peeling paint on the trunk that they tried to cover up with a color stick. They tried to offer me every other car, tried to get me to finance when I wanted to pay cash. I finally walked out, wasted trip, wasted gas, wasted day. Don't waste your time here. If they are trying to cover up issues like peeling paint, what else is underneath that they are covering up? They trick you into getting there so that they can force something else down your throat. Dishonest, cheap. More
We called ahead to check if the color combination we were looking for was in stock, got to talk to Felix, met him for a test drive. Extremely nice, professional, no pressure sales. He was gracious, let us d looking for was in stock, got to talk to Felix, met him for a test drive. Extremely nice, professional, no pressure sales. He was gracious, let us drive couple of different cars and we left without the usual - "what we need to do to put you in your car today" spiel. Then contacted delaer for an internet price - got to deal with Paul Rubin - nice experience there too. Very direct, no pressure, treated us with respect and very responsive. Both him and Felix worked together with us till late in the night to get the car of our choice when we changed our mind on the color/package combo from another dealer. Met their GM - nice guy - quick to the point no BS. The folks so far were super nice. Only downside was during closing, The closing agent tried to pressurize us into selling lots of "options", seat treatment glass treatment etc on the end of a long day when all you wanted was to sign and get into your new car and go. We got a great price and deal given the fact it was month end, price matched True market valus and Fair prices from Consumer reports and KBB etc. Got couple of options thrown in. Folks for the most part were nice, made you feel welcome and overall experience was better than when I dealt with the BMW dealer earlier last earlier under the same family name. We would strongly reccomend this place, but we warned for some pressure at the end of it all behind closed doors when you think you were all done! I had a trade in and got slightly below average price offered than what I expected or was quoted in KBB and other places More
I had come from owning a 2007 Honda Civic Si I purchased from Honda Freehold in 2007. After totaling that car I was waiting for my insurance check and was shopping for a new car. Interested in a MazdaSpeed3 from Honda Freehold in 2007. After totaling that car I was waiting for my insurance check and was shopping for a new car. Interested in a MazdaSpeed3, I decided to go to Open Road in East Brunswick because it was close to my home. Matt Rucko immediately greeted me as I entered, and asked which car I was interested in. I test drove a 2010 version of the MS3, but wanted the 2011 because of the tech package that comes with the self leveling HID lights, etc etc. Eddie Ruela would have given me a great deal on the 2010 but I had my heart set. I went home and did research on the car pricing, and went back that weekend. I liked how they were no pressure, laid back and let me do what I needed to do (I had thought I'd replace my car with a 2011 version of the Si, but little did I know I can't get my hands on one until the new body style comes out. But after seeing the bells and whistles on the MS3, my decision was made). Going back to Open Road I really thought I'd have to haggle like I did with any car I've ever owned. To my surprise, it was the easiest transaction ever. They offered me a GREAT price I couldn't resist, on the very car I wanted, and was willing to drive all over earth's creation to get it for me. I met with Mike Mayfield and went over my credit. My credit is another story entirely..... other dealers like to get a 2% kickback on financing.... and with the Honda it was a nightmare. Mike was able to get me 4.7% right away! I almost fell over!!!!! Even financing was easy!!! The dealership was patient waiting with me for my NJM insurance check. I gave them a $500 good faith payment to hold the car, and knowing the check was finally coming, we finalized the deal January 31st. The day came to pick up the car, so I examined it in the garage since it was night time. I found 3 scratches above the gas tank, and they buffed and buffed till it was gone. Because I have the RESIST ALL warranty, Matt put in writing there were scratches and wrote that if I EVER have problems with that panel they'll fix it at no cost to me. Matt has checked on me several times making sure I am happy, and has been very personable. When I walk into the dealer, I am greeted by everyone as they've known me for years. I definitely will buy from them again if I am in the need of a car..... and I've told my friends how good they were, and posted it on FB. :) More
I had been looking to purchase a used Mazda 6 for quite some time now. I saw one listed on Open Road Mazda's website but received a call from a salesman named Frank who advised me the call had been sold bu some time now. I saw one listed on Open Road Mazda's website but received a call from a salesman named Frank who advised me the call had been sold but he promised to call me when something came in. A week later he had an associate call me, his name is Greg. Greg told me about a 2003 Mazda 6 they just received, we made an arrangement for me to come down and take a look at the car. The car was in exceptional condition for an 03, 59,000 miles, clean inside and out. Greg showed me the carfax and it showed the car had one owner with an average of 8,000 miles a year on the car. I advised Greg and Frank when we sat down to discuss a price that I would have to have my mechanic take a look at the car first before I made any commitment on the car. They had no issues with this and even offered to have the car driven to my mechanic! Wow, I thought, so I made an appointment with my mechanic and the car had been brought to him, from East Brunswick to Westfield, NJ. My mechanic gave the car a full work over, hooked it up to a computer, ran all tests and found the car to be mechanically sound as well as no accidents. I immediately committed to purchasing the car, I thought the paperwork and such would drag on for a while but the dealership had been flawless in getting through all the paperwork. I am extremely happy with the purchase I made, the people I encountered at Open Road Mazda of East Brunswick. No hassling, very knowledgeable and willing to work with you to help put your mind at ease with the purchase you are making. More
I felt that the communication between the people that i met at the dealership and me was tremendous. They not only answered all my questions about the car but educated me on things i didn't even know it h met at the dealership and me was tremendous. They not only answered all my questions about the car but educated me on things i didn't even know it had. They didn't waste my time and they seemed very flexible on how to finance the vehicle in terms of lease, purchase and offered me many options and alternatives to consider, which i found helpful in fitting into my budget. I specifically told the salesperson, Brian, that i was going to shop around and was NOT buying today. He told me that it didn't matter when i was buying. That i would be treated the same as if i was buying today. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and i felt completely comfortable and at home. I would recommend Open Road to other people and I certainly would go back and buy another car. My only regret is that I only had enough money to buy one car. It has been two months now and i have recieved Christmas and New Years Cards from the staff. I was even invited to their Christmas party but unfortuneately I was out of town. You can really tell these guys really enjoy their work and working there because I met almost everyone that worked there and even hung out with another salesmen who wasn't even helping me! If I could describe this place in one word it would be "fireplace". Warm, Safe, home and family. More

OPEN ROAD = DISHONEST DEALER: STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM OPEN ROAD MAZDA AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. I purchased a Mazda from OPEN ROAD (BIG MISTAKE) based upon the ongoing Mazda USA incentive of $0 d ROAD MAZDA AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. I purchased a Mazda from OPEN ROAD (BIG MISTAKE) based upon the ongoing Mazda USA incentive of $0 down with first month's payment included. Upon reviewing the sales contact, they intentionally charged me with the first months payment. When asked why, they stated the first month payment was required regardless of the current incentive. I told them that if I sign the contact now and I find out that the first months payment was not applicable, I expect a refund from them (of course they said not a problem as long as I sign). The next day I called up Mazda USA who directed me to the finance company handling the incentive which directed me back to the dealer for payment restitution. Back to OPEN ROAD I went, and guess what, they flat out denied acknowledging our conversation existed and they REFUSED to credit my first month's payment. The only thing out of the finance persons mouth was, "THAT WAS NOT THE DEAL." Not only did they lie, there was NO (I REPEAT N0)willingness to hear or settle the issue - how pathetic is this. The only GREAT experience I did have was the salesperson I worked with (don't remember his name but he was extremely polite, courteous and accommodating in every way). Other than that, totally dishonest. I hope this gets to the dealership as constructive criticism, get rid of the people who makes your BRAND look bad - you're loosing business! I wasn't expecting you guys to give me the car for nothing, all I wanted was an honest deal (I couldn't even get that) with no BS. Shame on you! More

Sales Person Mohamed Khan is one of th (thank's PAUL RUBIN - On Line Service). Thank's them, I saved lot of time and nerves on negotiations process. Sales Person Mohamed Khan is one of the best. After visiting other Dealers in Range of 50Mls, we war on the Alert and expected some kind of Tricks, because the Price was really too good! We didn't get any Pressure to buy something additional. Two Weeks later we called Mohamed about Registration and Plates, and got them next Day with overnight FedEx. That is our personal Experience. More
