We have been returning customers and time and time again Alvaro always goes out of his way to meet our family needs. Alvaro will always get more than 5 Stars from us, now Management and the Service Department not even a star. Because our belief in the VW product and Alvaro’s Excellent Customer Service we decided to buy a used GTI for our son while helping him establish his credit. During the sales transaction General Manager Shant Bashian facilitated for us to sign the last of the contract. Mr. Bashian was speaking volumes of this “amazing” car that former owner had to get rid of it because his wife just couldn’t get the hang of learning how to drive a car with manual transmission (keep this in mind), the sale was executed. We took the car home and noticed that the clutch was not operating properly, so after 3 days we called the dealership back and was asked to bring it back. Mr. Bashian gave it a “quick test drive” and came back basically telling me that I burnt the clutch and that I am now responsible to pay for the repairs and they would not accept any ownership or responsibility for the mishap. I am not sure whether Mr. Bashian believes he is the only General Manager who abuses his authority over his staff or a Demigod who does not have any customer service etiquette or the customer’s best interest believing he could rip off customers so his pockets could continue to grow. We are not even sure how he managed to take over a prestigious position with such approach in blaming customers and instilling “accountability” to a customer? I informed Mr. Bashian that was a load of bull that there was no way we could have burnt a clutch in less than 100 miles and allowed them an opportunity to fix their mishap otherwise we would never EVER do business with them. So the VW Ontario team reassured us they would look into it further and would get back to us. Only to wait a day later and be told it would cost us $3,500 to fix it! We reminded them that we haven’t even had the car financed yet Mr. Bashian stated he would look further. A day later passed by and now as a “Good Faith” and his efforts to meet us “halfway” if we pay $1,500 they would fix it. Ummm we reminded him we are not here to “negotiate” another sales transaction for their mistake. At this point Mr. Bashian stated his offer is “firm” and if we arranged for the car to be fixed somewhere else it is our responsibility. Supposedly they put the car back together and we picked up the car only for the car to be in an inoperable situation so we ended up getting it towed at our expense. Interesting piece to all this story is that while I was at the Service Department waiting a representative expressed his sympathy towards our negative experience with Mr. Bashian. The Representative informed me that he was interested in buying the GTI for himself, but noticed the clutch “just didn’t seemed right” so he left it alone.....the Representative expressed frustration with management there and often observed Mr. Bashian completely disregarding customer’s best interest and in this case he opted to blame and attempted to pull another sales prank over our heads as opposed to really addressing the issue with the owners of the dealership and alleviating the issue... but instead fabricates lies to cover his trail of lies (or he thinks) we will definitely allow a Judge make that determination. More

Also found screws missing and the turbo wasn’t put back properly. Whoever is in charge clearly does sloppy work and is not trustworthy. Do not get your car serviced here. They will charge you an insane amount for labor and do a horrible job. Currently looking into a different mechanic because this dealership couldn’t do the job. More

Tim, Eduardo, and finance worked with me to purchase the ideal truck. They were easy to work with, friendly, and understanding in all aspects of the purchase. I received an excellent deal on my truck, received quick service and left happy. I understand a Ford F-150 is not a VW, but these men knew how to make the buy a stress-free and straightforward ordeal. I did not feel pressured, influenced or lead at any time during my negotiations with any member of the staff. I also felt their warranties, prices, and services were reasonably priced. I hope to return to Ontario VW in the future as my family, and I have owned a VW since 2001. I urge you to strongly consider purchasing both new and pre-owned from these friendly people. More

Purchase of 2018 Golf I wanted to purchase a white 2018 or 2019 Golf so went to several dealers to look at cars. I first went to Norm Reeves in Irvine (close to my house) I wanted to purchase a white 2018 or 2019 Golf so went to several dealers to look at cars. I first went to Norm Reeves in Irvine (close to my house) and I couldn't believe how patronizing and unknowledgeable they were. There was no way I was going to purchase a car there. I saw online that Ontario VW had a 2018 white Golf on the lot so emailed the internet manager (Lavel Darty) and he called me within 10 minutes (excellent service!) I then drove to Ontario to test drive the car with Lavel. He spent a lot of time showing me the every aspect of the car before I even drove it. He took the time to answer all my questions and was very easy to work with. I purchased the car the next day and Lavel went over all of my financial options (I am a weirdo and brought my macbook in to make sure everything he was showing me was correct - it was). In any case, working with Lavel made my car buying experience simple. He really has a great personality and makes you feel at ease. Thanks Lavel! More

DECEITFUL NEGOTIATION!! Me and my husband spent 6 hours and was harassed constantly for offers that we refused. They kept lying and changing stories to the point that my husband wanted to walk out twice. They wanted us to get "GAP" and "Maintenance" package. There's a $795.00 included in the price and it was described as "After market Value" only to find out that it was "Lo-Jack". It was never explained to us from the beginning. My husband told them that we do not need it and EDUARDO ZERMENO(Finance Manager) told us that if they take out the "Lo-Jack" that $795.00 will be added to the purchase price, because either way they need to get that $795.00. Since when it is mandatory for the buyer to get a "Lo-Jack"?Anyway, it was already 9PM and I told my husband to get it, so that we can leave that place. EDUARDO ZERMENO you should not treat people that way!! You are not helping the dealership!! More
