I was the first client to get in the garage at 7:00 am. My problem was a tire sensor on the rear right side No. 4. However the tech didn't properly read the instructions and put 4 tire sensors on all 4 tires. It was 11:30 before I could drive my car out. The cost of 1 tire sensor was $177.63 plus $87.50 labor and $15.75 for shop supplies. Total bill was $307.49. I talked to a friend and he had the same work done at a private garage for $48 for 1 sensor. I think I'll shop around before my next maintenance! Stan Wilhite was exceptional in assisting me. He apologized for the long wait and dropped the charges for my oil change because of the long wait. More
It was a complete 180° change in customer service. I was flabbergasted. Upon my arrival to your dealership, Joshua S. approached my vehicle within minutes and asked if he could be of assistance. That I was flabbergasted. Upon my arrival to your dealership, Joshua S. approached my vehicle within minutes and asked if he could be of assistance. That has never happened to me at your Olathe dealership. Normally, I'm ignored. He explained in detail in laymans terms the different items under the hood of my vehicle, and he actually provided me an estimated time that my vehicle would be done. He sent me a text notifying me that I was checked in. That in itself was a relief. The last time I visited your dealership, they, CSRs forgot I was there. I sat for 3 hours and it wasn't til I got up to inquire about my gladiator, that they acknowledged that they forgot me. Unacceptable. I didn't want to return to your dealership. Joshua S. changed my mind. I know you're thinking, wow, she's doing the most ??, but I cried the last time I was at your dealership. I was pressed for time. I digress. I gave my last visit ?????????? The service department always takes care of me. Even cleaning the nest out from under the hood. The service tech found a broken wire under the hood during the last visit before this one. Edit: My local guy fixed it for $300. Strangely his diagnostic told them exactly where and what the problem was... 3 days, $220 spent, nothing diagnosed, fixed, or found. *I unders Strangely his diagnostic told them exactly where and what the problem was... 3 days, $220 spent, nothing diagnosed, fixed, or found. *I understand I had a complex issue and I understand why things went the way they did. However, it definitely felt like a cash grab and a waste of time: I have a 2017 Jeep, with check engine light on, and a service code that could mean a multitude of things. However, I had already spent $220 on diagnostic and was asked to spend another 2k for further diagnostics. None of which would have included an actual fix. The $220 diagnostic gave me nothing (even diagnostics unrelated to the check engine light: oil, tire pressure, etc). What did I even pay $220 for? This was the starting point for the tech to diagnose further. I understand that the diagnostics required the dismantling of the engine bay but still, what am I getting for an additional 2k? What if the problem cost another 3k to fix? Soon I'm 5k into a vehicle that is worth 10k. When I inquired further, to get a better ballpark idea of total cost, the tech didn't want to say. And while I respect him not speculating or misquoting a potential cost, it starts to feel like there was no confidence, diagnostics, or end game in mind. I'm not that old but I come from a world where when you say you will do something for a price, you do it. Maybe the initial $220 could have been refunded or at least been applied towards the 2k diagnostic? I understand that I might not be the customer type (expendable cash) that the dealership prefers. So I definitely will try other dealer. More
I scheduled servie through online portal. Selected oil change ($95), engine air filter($36), tire rotation ($22). I was expecting about $180-200. Wife dropped off truck. Rainer was pretty con Selected oil change ($95), engine air filter($36), tire rotation ($22). I was expecting about $180-200. Wife dropped off truck. Rainer was pretty condescending to her when she had to call me to confirm work. I told him I wanted those three. Wife came home after picking up truck, was charged over $550 for the wrong P.O. (someone else's Jeep). The total for out P.O. was also over $320. Was charged for engine ($46, not $36 as priced online) AND cabin air filter ($36 didn't ask for it), and $80 for labor for the two filters. I was willing to pay $36 for the engine not $150+ for both. That's insane for two paper filters and minutes of time. I had to take off work to come back and ask it all to be fixed. Rainer took $40 off the labor, still charged for both filters and the add'l $40, but added a paper voucher for free oil/lube next time. If I didn't have the free voucher, I probably wouldn't come back, this was a mess and now I'm out about $100 I was expecting to pay rn. More
