I came in and purchased a pre-owned Nissan that Cable had advertised on their website. In the end I am very pleased with my overall experience in dealing with Jim Ramsey and John Cable in-person and over-th advertised on their website. In the end I am very pleased with my overall experience in dealing with Jim Ramsey and John Cable in-person and over-the-phone. Both of these guys are very professional and courteous and I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a good used car or new Volkswagen. More
Our experience was with the service department. It started out great. We took our older Jetta in with an electronics problem. The guy who helped us, Jeff, was very good. He fixed the problem and even started out great. We took our older Jetta in with an electronics problem. The guy who helped us, Jeff, was very good. He fixed the problem and even found a few recall issues that they fixed for free. They also mentioned that they couserver ice the headlight covers which were very murky. We thought the price sounded reasonable, so we agreed. The car was finished the same day we dropped it off. My husband went in and paid for the car. It was the same price that Jeff had told so there was no surprise that it cost over $500 and we were happy with the work. The problem arose the following day when Jeff called and said that they had forgotten to bill us $90 for labor. My husband was baffled by this as we had already paid for the services rendered and had received an itemized bill which we paid in full. My husband stated that he was not inclined to pay additional money as our bill had already been settled. Jeff said he would look into it and get back with us. We didn't hear anything until a month later when the billing department called and demanded payment and went so far as to ask for credit card information over the phone. Long story short. We did not pay this additional money. We had several calls from the billing department. My husband even talked to a manger who tried to lay a guilt trip on him. My husband spoke to someone over the phone that was supposedly Mr. Cable, the owner. Same thing. He tried to make it out as if we were in the wrong. When my husband asked him how we would know for sure that we wouldn't get a cal the following month asking for additional payment, he was told that this time they would give him something in writi g saying that we wouldn't owe them any more money. To this, my husband stated that we already had something in writing that said our bill was paid in full. We will never use this dealership again and we will tell everyone we know to stay away! More
Worst Car Buying experience ever!!! Waited in line forever to process paperwork, then after hasseled over paperwork issues and planned to finance elsewhere, cable VW then said would not require anythi forever to process paperwork, then after hasseled over paperwork issues and planned to finance elsewhere, cable VW then said would not require anything additional after 3 weeks of giving them additional paperwork. No gas in car - car was on empty when obtained and did not re-detail even though promised gas and detailing if brought back car to dealorship. The dealorship lost the manual and additional set of keys, and we were told that they would have extra set of keys made and sent to us - have not received or heard from them in over two months. To top everything off, they took so long to send us the title that by the time we received the title, we had to pay late fees to transfer it over!! Will never again purchase a car here! More
This is the third time I stopped by this dealership. In 2012 I was looking to buy a 2012 Toareg TDI, the salesman I spoke with was standoffish and condescending. Ended up buying the car from Fowler Norman 2012 I was looking to buy a 2012 Toareg TDI, the salesman I spoke with was standoffish and condescending. Ended up buying the car from Fowler Norman where I was treated like a customer should. 2nd time I was looking for a 2012 gasoline VW jetta sportwagon for my wife. the manager told me that there was none available in the US. Went back to Fowler who found one in TX. About two weeks ago I decided to give cable another chance at my business, I was looking at a new 2012 VW golf GTI Mike the salesman made me a ridiculous offer for my trade as a way to get rid of me. Well thanks Mike I got a better deal yet again from Fowler. Need less to say I will never be dealing with Cable VW and I will never recommend that anyone waste their time shopping at this dealership where salesmen do not want to work for customer's business. I simply do not have time to haggle over a few dollars, rates, etc. I first visited another VW dealership close by and got the high pressure sales experience, which was a total turn-off for me. After a f rates, etc. I first visited another VW dealership close by and got the high pressure sales experience, which was a total turn-off for me. After a few phone calls to Ron Roe at Cable VW (on my way from the other dealer), I had already found the car I wanted and come to an agreement on terms. The sales process was simple and expedited by Jon Cable himself, the people were great, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. More
Parts are overpriced. Service looks for the slightest thing to say needs fixing when it doesn't. Went in for a flex pipe, told them it was the flex pipe. They came back with over $1500 in repairs. I g thing to say needs fixing when it doesn't. Went in for a flex pipe, told them it was the flex pipe. They came back with over $1500 in repairs. I gladly picked up my car and took it elsewhere. The only actual problem was, as I had told them, the flex pipe. So I went from an estimate $1500 in repairs to an actual $350 in repairs. I don't trust them to even do an oil change, no telling what they'll come back and tell me needs fixing. More
I bought a new Bettle from this dealership and they were really great to work with! Jim was very helpful in assisting me with picking out the car and showing me all of the features on it. The financing was really great to work with! Jim was very helpful in assisting me with picking out the car and showing me all of the features on it. The financing was a fairly simple process and were great about explaining the maintainance schedule to me. Everyone was really friendly and helpful at Cable and I look forward to bringing my vehicle in for maintainance there in the future. More
I visited this dealership on numerous occasions throughout our Passat 3 yr lease. I found the service department to be one of the worst I've ever dealt with. I had several bad experiences at this throughout our Passat 3 yr lease. I found the service department to be one of the worst I've ever dealt with. I had several bad experiences at this dealer that lead me to choose another vehicle make since these guys were the only dealer in town (at the time). The thought of dealing with them over another 3 year lease was too much to bear. These guys left my drain plug loose after an oil change, where several quarts of oil dumped on my garage floor overnight, they called me once to tell me my service was complete, so I drove 40min to get the car to find they hadn't started it. They once attempted to repair my electronic parking brake unsuccessfully. When I got home I found parts of my parking sensor button on the floor board (the "factory trained tech" thought that was the parking brake button, which is why they couldn't fix it). As a whole, I found this dealer service department to be incompetent, and even after all of the trouble, extremely rude, and unapologetic. Though I've never visited the dealer in Norman, they can't be any worse that these guys. More
