After checking the Mazda website, I was happy to see the car I wanted had a great special offer from Mazda, so I headed to the closest Mazda dealership close to my house (Ocean Mazda). After picking the car I wanted, they actually offered me a horrible deal. I told them about the special offer from Mazda and the lies started: - (Salesman) "This offer is for Manual Transmission only ..." - (Me) Nope ... here's the print out with the details, It says automatic! - (Salesman) "Ok, let me talk to my manager" - (Salesman - 28 minutes later) "This offer is no longer available" - (Me) "You are kidding right? Here's the special with the date straight from Mazda's website on my Smartphone! - (Salesman) "Ok, Let me talk to my Manager..." - (Salesman - 19 minutes later) "My manager told me we can't make Mazda's deal, only their (Much higher) deal! Very politely I thank them and left ... Drove to Mazda of North Miami which not only they made the Mazda's deal BETTER, without Gimmicks or pressure to buy with a great customer service. More
Bad dealership experience. They say a bad review reaches on average 28 people and a good review about 15. Unfortunately in this day of internet ease, a bad review will reach thousands. Ocean Mazda has a lon on average 28 people and a good review about 15. Unfortunately in this day of internet ease, a bad review will reach thousands. Ocean Mazda has a long way to go in customer service, they need only look to their competitors to see why they cannot sell a car without a poor experience. From lying salesmen to excessive waiting this dealership has it. I didn't even mention cost as this one thing a consumer has control over and can walk away from a bad deal as I did. I would suggest you drive a Mazda, it is a great brand and I got an excellent one from a neighboring dealer. Do not give up on Mazda on the account of a bad dealer with poor service, just take your money elsewhere and support those that care to give you a good buying experience. More
These people are thieves!!!! I was told a lease special from Mazda website is impossible, shame on me I trusted them. I gave a "reimbursable deposit" for them to pick up a car. Found same car for $1,750 le from Mazda website is impossible, shame on me I trusted them. I gave a "reimbursable deposit" for them to pick up a car. Found same car for $1,750 less in Lehman Mazda, the special on the website was totally true, but they did not give me my deposit back. Very upset with the manager "Mauricio", don't let you trick you, try other dealer. More
Ocean Mazda is the worst place to buy or fix a car. The second to last time I went there, they told me that my 2005 Mazda 3 and its tires were in good condition even though my car was making a lot of noise second to last time I went there, they told me that my 2005 Mazda 3 and its tires were in good condition even though my car was making a lot of noise. Every time I went for an oil change, I would always ask them to check to see whether everything was fine with the car. They would always tell me that I didn't need anything. The last time I went, they took away the lifetime warranty on my tires because they said that I didn't bother to do the alignment which, mind you, they never even mentioned when I asked them to check the car on previous visits. After this, I went to Mazda South Motor, and they changed the tires because they were uneven due to the lack of alignment. They found vibrations in the steering wheel and carbon deposits and #3 motor mount leaking among other things which had accumulated over a prolonged period of time. All this totaled to $1,252.87. Now that I'm driving it, it now feels new. Thanks to Mario Pavon, the mechanics in South Motors, and the manager for having such great workers. In short, don't go to Ocean Mazda, but South Motors is an excellent place to get everything done. More
I recently bought a 2012 CX-9 at Ocean Mazda located at 9675 NW 12th in Miami. First thing I mentioned was the 60 months with no interest incentive. The salesman mentioned that they now had a 72 months dea 9675 NW 12th in Miami. First thing I mentioned was the 60 months with no interest incentive. The salesman mentioned that they now had a 72 months deal, which I liked because the monthly payment was going to be much lower. When the salesman came back with the first proposal it was so high that I asked why it was so expensive when there was no interest. The salesman responded that the 60 months incentive was only for 2011 cars because they wanted to reduce their inventory (That was their first lie). With that in mind I continued the negotiation and ended up with a 72 months financing package. The next day I checked into Mazda webpage and found that the incentive was still going and I called the dealer and spoke to the sales manager (Robert). At that point he said that it was either a 60 months with no interest or $1,500 discount and they had given me the discount (That is their second lie). I asked him why they didn’t mention anything while I was there and kind of forced me into a financing that I didn't want? And also asked him where the $1,500.00 was since the contract was showing ticket price and no discounts? He told me that would call me back in 10 minutes. (That is their third lie) Four hours later the salesman called me with excuses and told me that I should talk to the financial person. “Coincidentally” he had the day off. So I went the next day to talk to the financial person and after a few seconds he told me that it was too late because the contract was already sold to another bank. I have been in touch with the headquarters of Mazda and they have not been very successful in convincing the dealer to fix their mistake. Their policy is not to intervene directly into the dealer's business. After my experience I learned two things: 1) That the sales department at Ocean Mazda lacks ethic, professionalism and decency when dealing with their customers. They try to maximize their profits to the point that are capable of lying to their customers while conducting their businesses. 2) When buying a Mazda is very important to select the dealer since corporate support is very limited. I'm using Ocean Mazda for the last 5 years since I've bought my Mazda3 HB. I had a terrible experience with their sales department as I walked in to check the newly released Mazda3 and I was dressed with bought my Mazda3 HB. I had a terrible experience with their sales department as I walked in to check the newly released Mazda3 and I was dressed with shorts and t-shirts and I was completely ignored by the sales persons even after stating that I was thinking in buying the car. Being so I went to Gunther Mazda in Ft Lauderdale but, since Ocean was quite close to were I worked I decided to try their service department and was pleasant surprised by their work. All my complaints were always addressed and solved for the last 5 years and never had to get back to a rework. Not only they fixed all I've requested but in all my visits they looked for everything else that could be a problem and fixed them anyway under the warranty. Last week the car had a oil leak and I was not able to take the car there so my wife sent it on a tow truck with just a small note regarding what was happening and the extended warranty data. Danny got the car, did all the paperwork without bothering us with details, called me to let me know that I would have to pay for the oil (extended warr does not cover it) and gave me the date when the car would be ready. Next day I went to pick up the car and not only the leak was fixed as they replaced the motor mount (small vibration at idle), a window glass arm (was noisy but working fine) and a thermostat responsible for a long time lit check engine light...all without being asked or informed of. Ah, the car was very well cleaned interior and exterior. So, if you will buy a Mazda look somewhere else, if you need service there is the place to go. Thanks Danny, thanks Ocean Mazda service.
