On September 5th I went to Ocean Honda to test drive a truck that they had. I went for a test drive and decided to buy it. Well, that's when the games began. They advertised that payments were 505 a month truck that they had. I went for a test drive and decided to buy it. Well, that's when the games began. They advertised that payments were 505 a month. Nope not even close. Fast forward to me driving my truck 7 hours after returning home the check engine light came on.. I called them that morning and was told to bring t in. With my work schedual i had to wait until friday. Called them explained what was going on.Cmon up he said. So I told him that it may take an hour or so since I was coming from the Cape. I get there and the first thing I was told. We do not have a loaner car to give you. We have a bunch of big jobs going on and that when they get a loaner they would bring it to me and drive the truck back to the dealership. I said that I would drive it to them. we do not want to inconvenience you. so the hour ride I just did just to be told sorry no loaner. So I drive the truck for another week without inspection sticker (check engine light) I noticed that my registration was not in the glove box. Salesman was hanging on to it for unknown reason. I showed up on the following friday told them a bunch of things that they needed to address. Left with the loaner car. Drive all the way back to the cape and realize that the car I was driving had no oil in the engine and the registration was expired. So I called and was asked to return to Weymouth. I agreed and hung up. Just to have the phone ring and was told not to go because they didnt have another loaner. That I would have one the following morning. In the middle of all this I realized that in my trade in I forgot my deceased cat's collar on my rearview mirror. Could Sam go look to see if it was there. Let me look he said I will call you back. Nothing so I called two days later and asked again the person said either Sam or himself (promised) I would get a call back. NOTHING. They have had my truck for a week now and I have no idea what is going on. They sent it to a different dealer to have them work on it since it is a diesel Honda doesn't work on diesels. I'm 17 days in on my new purchase and have nothing to show for it. Plus, I still do not have a state inspection sticker. I will never buy another vehicle again. I have no idea what to do. This is my first and last time purchasing a vehicle. So PLEASE STAT AWAY from these people. They just want to rip you off and send you out the door. More
If I can give this place 0 Stars I would. ....Sharing this for everyone to know, When speaking with Bridgette I asked her if the vehicle has been through the shop simple stuff right? Its eithe ....Sharing this for everyone to know, When speaking with Bridgette I asked her if the vehicle has been through the shop simple stuff right? Its either a yes or no question. We are about 3 hours away and wanted all the information for the vehicle we were interested in. As well as talking with the Sales Manager agreeing on a price prior to coming in. When My boyfriend showed up the vehicle was not through the shop with Bridgette did inform me it was all ready to go. As well as my boy friend going there knowing I spoke with the Sales manager and have EMAILED PROOF that he agreed upon a price. I think it was very distasteful for a dealership to keep there employees in the loop of they tell a customer and what they agreed upon so that way it was not a pointless 6 hour round trip for useless visit. Either way customers beware they tell you price then try to up charge you they DO NOT STICK TO THERE WORD! Honestly I work in the Dealership business and I cannot believe that Dealerships are like this More
Just pick up a 2023 Pilot EX-L from Aaron (2/10/23), my wife and I couldn't be happier. Aaron was very easy to work with, no pressure which made the purchasing process so much easier and actually fun. Go wife and I couldn't be happier. A total lack of communication from beginning to end with the folks at Ocean Honda of Weymouth. While not outright lying, the sales process was full of misleading statements or missed opportunities to clear the folks at Ocean Honda of Weymouth. While not outright lying, the sales process was full of misleading statements or missed opportunities to clear up obvious assumptions. Long post ahead, so the TL;DR is that they misrepresent their sales price of vehicles over the phone to get you in the door, leave out information about what car you're getting, and generally have a negative attitude on all fronts. I called in and was told by Paul that they do not sell their 2022 Honda Pilots with any markups and that they would be doing MSRP. When we arrived based on this info, the salesman, Dan, told us there were two brand new models of a specific color/trim combo coming, but one was sent to the Brockton location that morning. The other would be coming in 5-9 days. We didn't mind waiting a little bit, so we discussed pricing and trade-in value of our current car. That was when we were hit with "we have to install this security system on every single car" and there's no way around it. The price they gave us for that system was $3,800. We refused to purchase a car with this system on it, and they came back with it still on, but at their ‘installation price’ - $288. Paul was technically right - they don't do the typical markup, but they do try to hide it in ridiculous add-ons. They eventually relented and took it off completely, so we were okay with the final numbers. Throughout this whole process, we also asked Dan multiple times to return our keys to the car we were trading in. They kept telling us they'll return it after we make the down payment, effectively holding our car hostage until we pay. We paid the down payment, but they went into the car's glovebox without asking to grab our registration before finally giving the keys back. Strangely, after the down payment was paid, Dan mentioned that we could potentially get the car tomorrow. This was out of the blue, as he said 5-9 days originally, yet suddenly can guarantee that the car will be here the next day. We couldn't make it until the weekend but the RMV system was down, so we had to wait for the following week. Since it was the month-end on the following Monday, they needed us in by Monday to sign documents, originally pushing us to come in by 5, which was impossible given work schedules. They threatened that there was no guarantee that the car would be ours if we couldn't come in on Monday. They eventually said we could come after 5, so we went in then. At that point, we figured we'd see the car and be happy. Two problems arose: they were charging $799 for parking sensors that were $699 when we first discussed pricing, and the paperwork suddenly said it had 133 miles on it, despite the insinuation that this was a car that was fresh off the truck (it was actually a car swapped from Northampton). We expressed our displeasure at this as we were expecting a car that was coming directly from Honda manufacturing. We also couldn’t see the car because they implied that the car was being worked on for the parking sensors. We were already in the finance office and thinking the parking sensors were being installed anyway, we signed the papers and hoped for a smooth delivery. I ended up going to the back of the dealership and saw the car sitting there. At the end of the week, we arrive to pick up the car, and what do you know - the car now has 193 miles! Despite showing our displeasure at having miles put on without our knowledge, they did it again. This time, they tell us that the parking sensors aren’t actually installed by their mechanics. They had to drive it 60 miles round trip to a third-party shop to get it installed. Paul said it might have been Plainville but wasn’t 100% sure though, saying “it could be Norwood or Plainville, I can’t tell you.” Through it all, nobody could be honest and be upfront about things that we cared about - whether they sell at MSRP, how new the car is, and they don’t even have enough insight into their own practices to tell me where the car went for the sensor installation. I've just leased my third CR-V from Ocean Honda — All three times with the same salesperson, Daniel. After years and years of dreading the process, I came to Ocean Honda and Daniel, and it has been a com three times with the same salesperson, Daniel. After years and years of dreading the process, I came to Ocean Honda and Daniel, and it has been a completely satisfying experience each time. He is a complete professional and works to do all he can to find me the deal I can accept. I've never felt he was doing anything but working on my behalf. I've read some reviews here and am convinced it's all about finding the right salesperson. Ask for Daniel. I was in and out in 2 hours with a deal I had hope for. If there's a deal to be had, Daniel will find it for you. I also want to say thanks to Sandra, who finalized the deal and went through the paperwork process with me. She is a real professional, as is Daniel. More
They literally lied to me about the price to get me to come in. Bate and switch and had it wrong thinking it was an an emotional purchase. They added 8K to MSRP for those that want to know. agoNEW Mortifying was one way to describe my experience. Desperate, pushy, rude, condescending, arrogant behavior & sales tactics—terrible overall experience. “Salesman” Sean (sp?) if he could be called tha Desperate, pushy, rude, condescending, arrogant behavior & sales tactics—terrible overall experience. “Salesman” Sean (sp?) if he could be called that would not tell me the price of the vehicle until I committed and my credit was run or I agreed to pay cash. I tried them two years ago and was willing to give another try after learning they were under new management or ownership and things only got worse! I will never go back and I will also share my negative experience ever chance I can to continue to warn others of the sales practices at Ocean Honda. What a disaster if a dealership and the owner should be ashamed to be part of the Honda Team. I almost felt like I was being held hostage while trying to find who had my keys and was followed out to our car berated the whole way down the ramp. Unbelievable. Very discomforting to see similar reviews and the owner taking zero action. This guy is a liability to your company! More
Totally lost my taste for Honda after salesman Sean was pushy and borderline insulting to me today when I made it clear I wanted to test drive and not buy today. I won’t be back. pushy and borderline insulting to me today when I made it clear I wanted to test drive and not buy today. I won’t be back. More
