Do not waste your time with this lot! I put a deposit down on a new truck they were expecting in, and the second it showed up, they did everything they could to make sure I backed out. I even drove the 3.5 hours up there, and they lowballed the xxxx out of my trade, substantially lower than any other lot I spoke with. WORST Car buying experience I've ever had, and I've bought a lot of vehicles... and several have been from some shady lots. More
My wife and I purchased a new 2017 Chevy Cruze from Ocean Crest in early 2018. The sales process took a pretty long time, there was a lot of back and forth about payment and various insurance and warranty po Crest in early 2018. The sales process took a pretty long time, there was a lot of back and forth about payment and various insurance and warranty polices that they insisted on adding. It took three different sales/management staff to demonstrate the features of the car to us. No one really seemed sure about how various things worked. One person even tried to claim the car was fitted with cruise control, which it was not. The vehicle ran fine for a few months and then the problems began. First was a noise coming from the front suspension and steering column area. It took five different visits to the service department of Ocean Crest before they could identify any kind of problem. Once it was identified it was fixed without much more resistance. Next was the passenger airbag sensor. It turned out this issue was related to a recall for the vehicle that had been previously missed during the PDI. This was a pretty simple fix as a recall notice had been issued. The next issue we had was the Start/Stop function on the engine started to malfunction, not restarting the engine once the brake pedal was released again. The first reaction of the dealership was to say that my wife didn’t know how to operate the vehicle properly. Initially they refused to even look at the vehicle for this issue because “it’s not possible for that to happen” according to the tech. It was a real struggle to get them to look at the car for this issue and of course when they did, they found nothing wrong. We tried for months to get this issue looked into properly but with no success. The service department here can be very resistant to helping customers with warranty issues. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience all round. More
