Nick was extremely rude. He low balled me on my trade. When I questioned his methods, he told me he would show me how they arrived at that number. I asked him to show me how he arrived at the numbers and he basically told me he did me a favor by offering me $2000 more. His energy was off and he was annoyed that I, the customer, asked so many questions because I’m knowledgeable. I was already pre-approved through Capital One. He started showing me rates based on Kia Financing in which I told him I was not interested. He then starts saying, “your credit must be in the 700s or 800s. Which was extremely offensive. If I’m sitting across the table from you obviously I can afford the vehicle I came to purchase. I already knew my interest rate and monthly payment. Due to his rudeness and inability to handle a black woman advocating for herself, I decided to walk away. My car was getting appraised so it was no longer out front where I parked it upon arrival. I had to walk around the parking lot and still couldn’t locate my vehicle. I went back in to ask where my vehicle was located and the front desk person didn’t know. The sales rep didn’t know either. I asked Nick and he pointed and said “over there” and walked away. He lacks tact and basic soft skills. I had to walk around the lot again to find my car which was located in the back of the lot. I spoke with the GM and he was apologetic; however, that wasn’t good enough. Regardless if I made a purchase or not, I should have been treated with respect and provided with quality customer Service. I will not be returning to Oakes Kia to purchase. The way I was treated was unacceptable. More
