Brutal customer service and lack of communication I have been a long time customer at BMW Huster Auto Group in Lincoln and recently moved to Omaha and thought we'd give this BMW dealership a try. WHA I have been a long time customer at BMW Huster Auto Group in Lincoln and recently moved to Omaha and thought we'd give this BMW dealership a try. WHAT A MISTAKE! I pulled in and nobody really cared if I was there or not...told them who I was and that I had an appointment. Service folks acted disinterested in me and I had to ask them multiple times if they had the information they needed. Six hous later after I dropped my BMW off for an oil change and replace spark plugs, I'm not contacted by anybody so I call the service center. They are gone for the day and didn't even bother to call me to inform me that they needed my vehicle overnight. Long story short, I had a discussion later in the evening with the Service Manager and my vehicle was delivered almost 24 hours after I'd dropped it off to my home. I'll go ahead and drive the extra 40 miles to Lincoln to save me he headache of dealing with these folks! Trent M - Elkhorn More

Only improvement needed is the ability to request a loaner vehicle when setting up service through the website. Otherwise overall wonderful More

Lost a 10 year BMW owner I LOVE BMW cars. I owned 5 in 10 years. After the dealership changed ownership, service was terrible. It was an automatic response any time you called I LOVE BMW cars. I owned 5 in 10 years. After the dealership changed ownership, service was terrible. It was an automatic response any time you called they couldn't get you in for 2 weeks. I had the tires changed and they had my car for 2 full days. I finally decided the service was horrendous enough that I would get rid of my much loved 650 which I had purchased new a few years prior. I intended to be a life-long BMW owner but new ownership changed that. I went to a different luxury dealer in town and have been blown away by their excellent service in comparison to H&H. I would love to own a BMW again but would have to go to Lincoln to do so and that is very inconvenient for me. I went from being an evangelist for the brand to someone who warns people about the poor service they will receive. So it costs me a car I love, but it cost them literally hundreds of thousands of future business from me and those I know. More

He had his heart set on a 300 series BMW, and I accompanied him to the dealership and co-signed the finance agreement. Tom, our salesman, was great to work with--helpful and attentive to our needs. Reggie accompanied us on a test drive and answered our questions. Ian in finance was knowledgeable, friendly and honest. My son is thrilled with his car and I am pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Best car purchase ever! More

I expected this to takes anywhere from 30-60minutes, so i didn't see need to schedule a loaner car. I arrived early for the appointment but my advisor was not on his desk. I was told to wait in the waiting room, which I did. Disappointingly I waited for almost 1hr, when I looked through the glass windows I saw the advisor with another customer. I waited some more. I couldn't be at rest anymore, so I decided to go out to the advisors area and ask what's going on. I was told that my advisor will come for me when he is done with other customer. I went back to the waiting room. After another long wait, the advisor came, I completed my order and the car was next in line. I went back to the waiting room. This time I gave it atleast 1hr before I bothered to check again. Surprisingly, the 1hr came, I was standing looking through the glass window and the advisors didn't seem that busy, but nobody was bothered. Many customers came after me and went as I was waiting, until I was almost the only person in the waiting room. My advisor came to the waiting room for another customer and used the opportunity to let me know that my car was done, it's being cleaned. I expected that it will probably take 10-15mins. It took no less than 45 minutes. Finally when my advisor came for me, he took me to his desk. He gave an excuse that the service people didn't alert him that the car was ready, even though it was ready a while ago. I was absolutely disappointed. I made the payment and the advisor told me that my car will be ready upfront. I went to my car, and was shocked to see from afar that the car was not cleaned (the advisor told me an hour earlier that it's being cleaned). I was angry but since it was already too late, I decided I will not ask. I entered the car and started it, FOR THE SECOND SHOCK, THE TIRE PRESSURE SYMBOL WAS ON! I brought the car for tire change, I would imagine that all tires would be tested for pressure before declaring the car ready, but obviously that wasn't done, one or more or all of the tire pressure was low. By this time I was really angry, I had to go back to the advisor to let him know. The car was again taken back to refill the pressure. My appointment time was for 2.45pm, I arrived at 2pm, I was leaving the BMW service center after 5pm. I was highly disappointed and decided that I will have to change my car soon from BMW. It's been several days now and I have not received any follow-up call, which I thought would be a reasonable thing to do by management for such poor delivery of service. But it obviously seems like this didn't bother them much worthy of a follow up call. More
Selling after-market parts We are new to Omaha, recently moving from Denver. We have a 2002 X5 that we have shipped to Ghana 5 years ago for use while we're there several months each year. For the longevity of the car, we always buy certified BMW parts and take them with us to Ghana for installation, even including oil filters. My husband bought an engine mount in Omaha and went to our usual Ghanaian mechanic to install it. The mechanic informs him that this is an after-market part. He points out that the old part is flexible and has some give, but the new one does not. I contacted BMW USA. They told me that the dealership can sell whatever they want; BMW USA recommends that they sell only BMW certified parts, but cannot restrict the dealership's decisions. She suggested I try to negotiate something with the dealer. This car hasn't given us a moment's trouble since we bought it in 2002. Maintaining quality parts is essential to maintaining the car in our opinion. Maybe we'll have to order parts from Murray Motors in Denver or drive to Lincoln. Both are ridiculous options, but I'll do what I have to do. I would also suggest that customers make sure they are using certified BMW parts on your vehicles. My husband asked if this was a certified BMW part and was told, "of course". But it didn't come in the typical BMW packaging. If you don't check and you never see the packaging, how will you know? Never ending issues with service department This place really is a joke. The new ownership has not improved anything as far as I'm concerned. Started off charging me for maintenance and basic mech service even though I bought extended insurance and service warranty. Took over a week for them to track down that I in fact did have a warranty. They did refund most of the charges after they found it. I complained about loss of power service warning on numerous occasions and had low oil on numerous occasions. Only to have them tell me they can't find anything. After my warranty expires I take it in for same thing and wow they found a bad gasket that was causing oil leak and loss of power to the tune of over $2000. I get it fixed at my expense after they refused to take any responsibility at all. These repairs took days longer than they said it would with no loaner. I leave and drive 5 miles and get some warning. I call them and leave a message right away because I picked it up at closing and no one answered. Never even a call back. Now I call because the back window fell of the track and doesn't roll up. They tell me over two weeks for an appointment w loaner and 10 days for service appointment without loaner. This place is a joke. I'd never buy anything for this place again. I'll drive to Lincoln or Kansas City and recommend anyone else to do the same. More
New ownership; some growing pains but much improved. Give this dealer another shot. They've recently changed hands (H&H bought them). Gave a good value for my trade-in and were easy to negotiate with on my purchase. They are currently striving for better customer service, aware of their past reputation. And have people monitoring them to ensure they do so. They also didn't hold their 'certified used' label hostage as some precious holy item like BMW of Lincoln does (and others in the region). More
