A GMC Points Usage Opportunity Passed By I had no problem with the quality of the service. The service representative was even conscientious enough to notice that my state inspection was near I had no problem with the quality of the service. The service representative was even conscientious enough to notice that my state inspection was nearing is expiry. I went there expecting to get my first oil change free of charge as I understood it to be. That was fine, however, with the inspection and emissions test that I wasn’t planning to have done that day, I could have printed a GMC points certificate and used that to pay for the inspection. I was disappointed to learn that in order to use my points, I had to pre-print a certificate before heading to the dealership. As I said, the inspection was not planned, and I’m grateful for the attention the service technician having noticed that it was coming due and needed to be done, however, there should have been a mechanism in place for me to log onto my GMC Rewards website and print off my points certificate at the dealership at the time of service. The process is not customer friendly and I dare say that it is set up that way to discourage the use of the rewards points. Otherwise, the appointment was prompt and the service was exceptional. More
