REPLACE FAULTY PASSENGER AIR BAG I have been trying (like many others in the US) to get my faulty Takata passenger air bag replaced for, I'm guessing, 2 years (per instructional recal I have been trying (like many others in the US) to get my faulty Takata passenger air bag replaced for, I'm guessing, 2 years (per instructional recall letters from Ford corp.). After recently receiving another letter, I called this local dealer & was told they still didn't have a replacement air bag. I decided to call the corp. # to simply ask why they kept sending out letters when none were available. The corp. person put me on hold, called this local dealer, spoke to the parts manager & it was a miracle...they had 1 they'd be happy to give me! I had to then call the "service writer", Mark, & make an appointment to have the work done. Although I was very happy to get the work done...finally!...I have to question why 1 suddenly became available. I understand this whole Takata thing is a huge mess but I do have to wonder if Ford customers are being told the truth. Was this a case of the "squeeky wheel" getting the grease? Overall though I was happy to get an appointment when I wanted it & also to be able to pick up my car when I wanted to. Mark was very pleasant to work with & made everything go well. More

Very poor communication I brought my car in over a month ago for service. I waited for 7.5 hours at home hoping to hear about the status of my vehicle. I finally gave up and I brought my car in over a month ago for service. I waited for 7.5 hours at home hoping to hear about the status of my vehicle. I finally gave up and called and was given some excuse to why I wasn't contacted and that they would need to get my car into a heavy service bay to get into the engine for repairs. Craig told me that he would call me in a couple days when they had a bay open to work on my car, it has now been 4 weeks and I have not heard from your service department on if I can bring my car back in for service. At this point I may never come back and I may contact my extended service with my vehicle to find an authorized repair shop to fix the issue with my vehicle. More

Service to Ford Ranger Overall, they did a good job despite a two day setback from the blizzard. They did forget to do one of the repairs I had scheduled. Overpriced Labor Service personnel were nice, seemed professional and the shop was very clean. Needed a throttle body on a 2008 explorer V8. Price on the parts seemed OK, and since we were broke down not much choice, labor to put the throttle body on was $299, it's about 15 minutes work. not sure how $299 can be justified for 4 easy to reach bolts. Hectic Day at the Service Center I've had better experiences at this dealership. They seemed to be understaffed and uncoordinated between service desk, shop and cashier. I have my doubts about whether or not they really rotated my tires, checked my brakes and battery. They also said they mentioned the air filter on the paperwork, but didn't. There is corrosion on my battery posts that wasn't mentioned and they didn't give me any info on the status of my brakes like I asked them to do. More
