My experience at Omeara for is by far the worst experience I have ever had a car dealership. Recently my wife and went to the dealership and bought a 2009 Ford Flex. The deal we received was OK experience I have ever had a car dealership. Recently my wife and went to the dealership and bought a 2009 Ford Flex. The deal we received was OK and as expected. We spent several hours of negotiation. We received a call from the dealership 4 days later stating that they had overcharged us by $200 and needed to come in and resign paperwork. I asked Richard Roth , Sales Manager, if this meant that we had to bring in more money or would experience an increase in payment. Mr Roth assured me that it was negative on both. He stated that we only need to come in and correct where the dealer overcharged us. Upon receiving the new paperwork we noticed an increase in our monthly payment. I questioned the increase and became very agitated. Richard Roth became highly agitated and advised me to shut and listen to what I had to say. He advised me that he did not care about what I had to say and proceeded to yell at me and to stop talking about things that I did not understand. My wife that was sitting next to me was appalled. We wanted to go ahead and sign these papers because of the irrate sales manager . Mr. Roth offered us 5 free oil changes at 29.99 to make up for an increase in payments the next 6 years. LOL I have never been treated so unprofessionally. I advise not to go to this dealership. Unhappy customer. More
On 7/31/10, my family & I went to O’Meara Ford. I had originally set up an appointment in the internet department, but that person had to leave on an emergency. We found this out 15 minutes after we sat originally set up an appointment in the internet department, but that person had to leave on an emergency. We found this out 15 minutes after we sat down in the showroom & Ken Ferguson came up to us, introduced himself & said he would be assisting us today. We told Ken what we were looking for, a minivan or large SUV to fit a family of 5. Ken was very snooty, condescending & rude through the whole process. Ken showed us a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country. We looked through out the vehicle, loved it & went for a test drive. Right before we test drove it, we asked for a car fax when we returned from the test drive. My husband & I fell in love with the van & decided to purchase. As we got back to the showroom, we reminded Ken that we wanted a car fax again. After asking 7 more times during the process, we finally got one. We told Ken what payment we could afford, what we could put down in cash & that we were trading in my 98 Dodge Caravan. 30 minutes later, Ken came back & stated that we could not be financed because it was 8:30pm & all the banks were closed. We got the family packed up & were ready to leave when Ken & his sales manager Freddie returned asking us where we were going & that they got us approved & we could go home with the Town & Country. That next Friday, we got a phone call from O’Meara to call them back. When I finally got a hold of someone, it was stated that the financing had changed & we had to go back in to resign the paperwork. Little did we know that when we got back to O’Meara, that we would have to return the 08 Chrysler. They informed us that the financing had gone through. We asked to get our 98 Dodge back, to which the 2nd chance financing manager, Brian John, stated that we would have to pay around 3000 dollars to get the 98 Dodge back & it was even hinted that the car was not available to us right away, but that we would have to wait a week to get it back. They informed us they did get approval for a 05 Dodge Caravan SXT. This van had massive crack in the windshield, the engine had been completely redone, the tires are at about 40% tread life remaining & the power window on the driver side struggled to go up & down. We were informed we would have to take the 05 Dodge as is, with no new tires, no new windshield, & no mention of fixing the power window. We knew we had no choice but to take the 05 Dodge. We took it home & noticed the next morning that the car was completely dirty & had not been detailed. I called Brian John & he agreed to have the car detailed the next time we were in the dealership. On 8/27/10, my power window stopped working. I called Brian John as well as the service department to get this fixed. When I showed up at my appointment the next morning, no one had a clue who I was, sent me home, & never called me back after leaving several messages. More
I had heard that o'meara ford was not the best place to go for Ford service, but they were close and it was warranty work. Now I understand what they were talking about. I took my pristine 2010 Mustang to go for Ford service, but they were close and it was warranty work. Now I understand what they were talking about. I took my pristine 2010 Mustang to have an evap sensor repaired anda bowed out airbag cover. First off, it took them 2 days to do the work. Then when I picked up the car, I was blocked in as one of the service reps spoke at length with the car blocking me in. He had just handed me my keys, so I am sure he knew I was sitting there in 90 degree heat. Obviously he just didn't care - not a big deal, but it shows there is no "customer service" - just money taking. Since I was waiting, I inspected the warranty work on the air bag cover. It was clearly new, but way bowed out. Far worse than what I brought in. His comment: "that's how it is. We can't fix it again, deal with Ford". I get my car home and the next day I see a small oil spot on the floor. I had my beater truck in there (2 days without my Mustang), so I just think it is my beater leaking a little. 3 days later, on the weekend, I take the car to get the oil changed (I won't use o'meara because their lube shop is just way too expensive). The guy at the lube shop comes over and says there is a leaking seal in my engine and takes me down under it (true customer service). Well, that explains the oil spot. I immediatley am on the phone to talk to o'meara. I get put on hold for 20 minutes. I hang up, call back. I'm told everyone is busy and if I leave my number someone will call me in a bit. 1 and a half hours later, still no call. I drive down to the dealership and there is literally one customer there and 4-5 service people standing around. I guess my call is not important (or maybe they knew why I was calling?). I spoke with a service represntative who told me I could leave my car and they would look at on Monday (it's Saturday). I ask him how the seal could be leaking after a set of realatively simple repairs. He looks at me like a deer in headlights (I'm thinking they knew). I'm gone. Goodbye o'meara. Oh and by the way, I'm spending about $15k on performance upgrades on this car - money you surely won't get. Next new car - more money you will not get. What will you get - me on every ranking website telling my stories. More
This dealership is full of scam artists! I went there on 8/5/10 and I had 2 cars to trade in, worth over $5,300 (trade in value on KBB) together. I went in looking for a 2009 ford focus that I had seen on t 8/5/10 and I had 2 cars to trade in, worth over $5,300 (trade in value on KBB) together. I went in looking for a 2009 ford focus that I had seen on their website for $12,997. I told them several times that $200 was the MAXIMUM I could pay per month on this car. We went back and forth several times with their rediculous offers. It was 10:30 at night by this time and they just wanted to be out of there. I had my 1 1/2 year old son with me and we all just wanted to go home so we finally "agreed" on a deal and signed the papers. Long story short, I am paying $279 a month for 72 months, over $25,000 for this car after all is said and done. They completely ripped me off. The list price they put on this car which is used and has 38,000 miles is $15,900, even though I saw it online for $12,997 - the exact same car I bought. They gave me some bull lines about how my credit is bad so the bank charges an extra 3000 dollars. NO! I'm paying 15% interest because of my bad credit, the extra charge is nothing but profit for them! It basically worked out that I gave them my 2 cars as trade for NOTHING and they are still drastically over charging me for a used car with double the average mileage for it's age! They said it has a powertrain warranty til 60,000 miles, but I wouldn't doubt it if that was a lie too!! I called them back to see what they would do for me and the guy said to get a cosigner and they'd charge me the $12,900, but they wouldn't take my trades, and if I couldn't get a cosigner then I'm stuck with the car and the payments! DO NOT GO TO O'MEARA FORD!!!!!! More
I went in looking for a used truck. I just wish I had read over the reviews before I went to O'mera. I found a truck I liked but it seemed over priced. We haggled a bit and I agreed to buy the truck. Af read over the reviews before I went to O'mera. I found a truck I liked but it seemed over priced. We haggled a bit and I agreed to buy the truck. After I got home I checked Kelly's Blue Book. For exactly the same truck with all the features, they stiffed me for over $4500 over the blue book retail price. That is 33% over retail, excessive, I think so. I checked the resale and for what they gave the previous owner, they made over $10,000 profit on that truck. That is not at all fair in this economy. When I comfronted them about this they said that I agreed to buy the truck, so it is BUYER BEWARE!. To top it all off, they only had one key for the truck and as I needed a second key, they charged me $80 for the extra key. NOT a place I would go to again or recomment anyone else go to. More
I purchased a used car, the sales people were pushy and I purchased a used car, the sales people were pushy and it took them a week to finish my paper work. They kept losing or could not find it so I g I purchased a used car, the sales people were pushy and it took them a week to finish my paper work. They kept losing or could not find it so I got numerous phone calls at work saying I needed to come in. I ended up going back to the dealership 3 times that week. The thing that pissed me off is when I was in a meeting at work and I got about four calls and messages saying they needed a paper signed again. When I did not answer they started bothing my wife and thought it was OK to just show up at her work for a signature when it really was not. Its like I was not busy at work and I had to drop everything and rush over there. I then had to wait till they figured out all the mess ups, I spent about 6 hours of wasted time while they tried to figure out the car sales. I was also told that the couple of things that were missing with the car would be in the following week. I never recieved a phone call and when I called the service was bad and I never got an answer. After calling for two weeks I gave up and spend my own money to replace what was missing. I guess they got their sale and when it came to my needs they were just to busy and did not care. I will never go back to that place, that was the worst experience of car buying I have had. To anyone who does buy from their be prepared for pushy people who expect you to drop everything if they mess up the paper work, and don't expect a call back if you are waiting on a part for your car you will never get it. I have not recommended this place to friends and family I know who are buying cars, they don't need to be treated the way I was this place is no good so BEWARE. More
I had a key made for $75.00 then they charged me $13.00 for Materials and disposal, how dirty can you get makeing a key, and what did they dispose. Just rippin dogs ... never ever go there. I am a old man for Materials and disposal, how dirty can you get makeing a key, and what did they dispose. Just rippin dogs ... never ever go there. I am a old man on a limited income and to be ripped off is not my idea of humanity. More
This is hands down worst dealer I have ever dealt with. They sold us a car but called us 5 days later to tell us we didn't get approved and we needed to bring the car back. When we went back they kept us there for 4 hours to see if they could get the deal through and approved. While we waited they kept telling us it would be 10-15 minutes longer. It finally got to 6 pm and they told us to come back the next day and work something out. During our wait we were never offered anything or any support or even suggested that we leave and call back. We were also given a car which was completely out of gas when we drove off of the lot. I would and could never tell anyone to ever go back to this dealership ever again. I would have to say it ruined our view of Ford and made everyone look bad. The only plus side was we had a knowledgeable sales representative who we dealt with the first 2 hours of the process. When we talked to the manager about how long we had waited and didn't want to be there any longer he didn't even apologize to us; he tried arguing that we hadn't been there as long as we had claimed and told us to contact the manager of finance the next day because he was playing golf. Bought a used Jeep that needed a little body work done was supposed to take 4 days to fix when I came in to pick up the vehicle it had been side swiped on the way back from the body shop and gofigire no o was supposed to take 4 days to fix when I came in to pick up the vehicle it had been side swiped on the way back from the body shop and gofigire no one knew how that happened so I'm told I'll get the car in 3 days when I called to see if it was back the salesman called me a liar and said he told me the following day. When I went up there the next day the Jeep wasn't back because the body shop guy didn't have a ride back and the salesman forgot to call AGAIN. So I went there for nothing. The next day I finally received the Jeep. I talked to the sales floor manager who told me he couldn't help me because I told him I wouldn't purchase from there ever again. He then hung up on me. A very horrible experience!!! More
