The service department here is terrible. If you are able to even reach them you can book a service appt. When your car is there being serviced no one answers the phone, or returns voicemails If you are able to even reach them you can book a service appt. When your car is there being serviced no one answers the phone, or returns voicemails (even direct lines), voicemail box is always full, and the texting system they have they rarely answer you. I’ve had to call sales and someone I know to reach a service rep to find out what’s going on with my car. They recommend service you need that is wrong. I’ve had to question everything listed on there since they will recommend things I already had done at their dealership. They mark things critical based on time and mileage and can’t explain why it’s marked to be changed. The person at the service counter that doesn’t know about cars is trying to explain to you what you need and gives the run around when questions are asked. I’ve had my car for 4 years and every time I have to bring my car in it takes at least 2.5hours. An oil change at least 2.5 hours. There’s never a loaner available. They offer an uber but then your car won’t be looked at for 2 hours even though you have an appt so they really only work on it for 30 min. I’ve had to call to ask when they will start working on my car. With the app you can tell when your car is moved etc. All depending on who you talk to you get a different answer. I have a 2022 Tiguan and am having issues with oil consumption being excessive. They keep telling me it’s normal and to top off with oil every time the light comes on which is around 2k-2.5k. I’ve had to investigate this problem myself and ask for tests which they like to point out I’m now out of warranty 59k and theirs ends at 50k but I have an extended warranty. They won’t address problems while you’re still in warranty because I brought this up when I was under 50k. There is a class action currently open for this problem but VW isn’t taking any ownership in covering this problem. Different VW dealers don’t see all the work you do unless it’s been through the warranty so that I why I’ve tried to stay consistent with this place but they are so difficult to work with. More
