I have never had a more frustrating customer service experience than I did with Boch Toyota. Before agreeing to purchase a pre-owned car, the salesman (David Augustine) and I verbally agreed that 2 new experience than I did with Boch Toyota. Before agreeing to purchase a pre-owned car, the salesman (David Augustine) and I verbally agreed that 2 new wheel caps MUST be put on prior to pick-up (the old ones on one side were badly scraped). He guaranteed that they would be replaced before the car was picked up. A week later, we picked up the car, and the wheel caps had not been replaced. His excuse was that they weren't in stock, but that he would call us when they came in so that we could come down and have them put on. Two weeks went by; we called periodically to check on the status of the order, and he was very difficult to get on the phone, did not return calls, and when we did happen to get him on the phone, he was full of excuses. Finally, he told us the wheel caps were in. We drove to Boch (we live nearly an hour away), and he kept us waiting for more than 45 minutes at his desk. When he finally had time to talk to us, it was to tell us that "the parts dept." ordered the wrong parts, and he didn't have the wheel caps for us. By that point, I was livid (he promised that they were there, we drove an hour there, an hour home, and 45 minutes waiting around for NOTHING???). He said that to apologize, he would send us 4 new wheel caps (instead of 2) via Fed Ex, so that we wouldn't have to drive to get them again (originally, he told us he could not ship them, which is why we drove down the first time). Over the next month, we called him COUNTLESS times. Our calls always went unanswered, and messages unreturned, unless we called the sales podium and had him paged, and when that happened, he had all sorts of ridiculous excuses for why we hadn't received them (from feigned confusion to blaming it on the parts dept. to promises that he would check it out and call us back... and he NEVER actually called back). After insisting that he provide a tracking number so that we were sure he was actually sending them, he finally realized we weren't going to let it go... and sent ONLY the original 2 wheel caps, not the 4 he had promised. That was a month ago. When we finally got ahold of him on the phone, he said that he couldn't send the other two because he "didn't have approval"- well then WHY did he promise them in the first place?- and to "make up for it", he would see what he could do about sending us some oil change coupons (not good enough... we already got those when we purchased the car) or a gas card. Since then, he has been impossible to reach by phone and continues to ignore our messages. We like the car we purchased, but we didn't get an especially great price on it (which was why we went out of our way to go to Boch in the first place), and the least he could do would be to honor our verbal agreement. David Augustine is the classic example of a sleazy car salesman: all talk and no delivery. He made a big deal of giving us stupid Boch Toyota t-shirts (which we threw out) and a few oil change coupons (which are only good at Boch- an hour's drive for us), shaking our hands like he was "the man" for giving us this worthless crap, but not doing what he was SUPPOSED to be doing for us. If you choose to look for a car at Boch in Norwood, AVOID dealing with David Augustine. More
I went in on a Sunday afternoon, walked around the place for about 30 minutes and received no help. Finally a receptionist asked if she could help, i told her I wanted some sales help. After one rep refus for about 30 minutes and received no help. Finally a receptionist asked if she could help, i told her I wanted some sales help. After one rep refused, another one was asked and he reluctantly got up out of his chair while he was shooting the breeze with another rep. I knew exactly what I wanted, I gave them the details. The rep (don't recall his name) went up to talk with Jason, came back with monthly payments. Mind you he never even asked if I had a trade in, so obviously this didn't reflect the trade in. I told him it was much too high, and he said sorry it's all I can do. This place has gone down hill. Typically known for great prices back in the day, but it appears Junior has become way too cocky and passed it along to his employees. There are much better options out there, take the extra 20 mins to commute to these places. More
If I could give this dealership a "0" I would! BUYER BEWARE!! Horrific experience. Unfair and deceptive. Will never do business with this dealership! Quoted price, drove to see car and purchase - ca BEWARE!! Horrific experience. Unfair and deceptive. Will never do business with this dealership! Quoted price, drove to see car and purchase - car was not physically there (although was told 1 hour prior that it was). Then sales manager told us there was a truck strike, but expected car to be there next day - got a call next day to come in. Put down refundable deposit on car day prior. Went down to see car and purchase, dealer sold car to another customer not honoring fair dealing. Although I drove 50 miles each day to see car, dealer sold it to another customer even though I placed deposit on car. Vishna was a sales consultant - very rude to me and my wife - should not be dealing with public in sales position. I am in sales position and know this is not a salesman. Atmosphere of dealership - very aggressive, vultures pouncing on you. Haggling over pricing, not honoring commitments. Very deceptive - trust me - do not deal with Boch Toyota! More

BEWARE OF THEIR DOCUMENTATION FEES (DOC FEE): The sale agent tells you included in their documentation fee ($298) is your inspection sticker, registration fee and one full tank of gas. REALITY: A. The financial people tell you the same thing but then in the same breath state if you get your car inspected elsewhere they will refund the money ($29) you spend at that other station, but nothing is refunded back from the doc fee which supposedly includes an inspection sticker. B) The registration or transfer registration fee is not included. That’s added on a separate line item on the sales agreement. C) The tank of gas is paid for by Toyota Motor Group…therefore this entire doc fee is just a “slush fund” for the dealership. 2. BEWARE OF A NEW CONTRACT THEY MAY ASK YOU TO SIGN: We agreed and signed a sales agreement for a Toyota Avalon with an XM Satellite Radio and Remote Starter to be put on before the delivery date, 60 hours later. On the date of delivery they stated the vehicle was ready and attempted to have us sign a new contract, stating the same price but without the XM Radio on the sales agreement. Then the sale agent informed us the vehicle was being brought around front but there was no XM Radio. We would then have to contact an independent dealer the following week to have the XM Radio installed. Like that was going to happen without the sales agreement stating an XM was paid in full. OVERALL BOCH TOYOTA SALES AGENTS AND MANAGERS ARE A BUNCH OF VULTURES WAITING TO TAKE YOU FOR A “RIDE” AND THEN SOME. IN THIS CONSUMERS OPINION THEY ARE WILLING TO “LIE AND CHEAT” TO GET YOUR MONEY AND MAY NOT DELIVER THE AGREED MERCHANDISE AS STATED IN YOUR ORGINAL SALES AGREEMENT. REALITY: IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A VEHICLE, TOYOTA OR OTHER MAKE, STICK WITH THE SMALL INDEPENDENT DEALERS. THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE SAME DEAL AND DISCOUNTS BUT WILL PLAY THINGS STRAIGHT AND TRUTHFUL WITH THEIR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. More
This was my first time dealing with Boch and last if I can help it. I went in to purchase a 2008 Scion TC. I knew what I wanted. This was an easy sell, well let me rephrase this, it should have been. can help it. I went in to purchase a 2008 Scion TC. I knew what I wanted. This was an easy sell, well let me rephrase this, it should have been. The salesman was intolerably rude. This ended up being one of the the worst nightmares that I have gone through. It ended up being a 4 day sales process to deliver a car that was on the premises {and being paid for in full}, causing me to miss a day of work. Then I emailed Ernie Boch to stress my dis~satisfaction with my experience, and he dropped the ball, why should I have expected anything other. I truly wish now I had torn the contract and gone to a different dealership, Boch did Not deserve the sale!! More
Well, I am not the only one. Here is what I wrote to them Hello Jason, I am sorry i couldnt take your call as I was speaking to one of your executives. As I mentioned, I came to the place with a great Hello Jason, I am sorry i couldnt take your call as I was speaking to one of your executives. As I mentioned, I came to the place with a great hope generated from the advertisements I saw on the TV about the service. I must admit that I am greatly disappointed. Here are some of the reasons. 1. As I walked in I was made to wait for more than 5 mins at the counter when your operator was ordering coffee/donuts on the phone. 2. The sales person was less than helpful in letting me know the features of the car and was not seem to be interested in selling me the vehicle. I was even told that it doesn't really matter to boch toyota if I buy this car or not. I was left with no particular knowledge of the car. I drive a toyota and I am a big fan of the brand, however this experience couple with the service i received at other places makes me incline to go for other brand. I completely understand that one sale is not going to make a difference for you. However, I can assure that I will make all the efforts to spread the word about the quality of service. 3. Finally, at the end there was no inclination to sell the car to me. I walked in with all the intentions of going for this car. But I am reconsidering my choices here as I was told that if I come tomorrow they will charge me $500 extra (ridiculous! isnt it?) This experience puts a serious doubt in my mind about the quality of the car (I wasnt told anything abt the car and its features) and the the service I may receive after sale if in highly unlikely circumstances, I decide to go for this car. The bottom line is, I am disappointed. Thank you for your time and attention. Regards, Nikhil More
Stay away, they are very deceptive when quoting price. Quote I received over the phone assumed I was getting a "Military and student discount" neither of which I would actually receive and a very high do Quote I received over the phone assumed I was getting a "Military and student discount" neither of which I would actually receive and a very high doc fee not quoted. About to drive 45 minutes to pay for the car but fortunately pressed for the details before learning the truth. Saved myself the trip and further aggravation. Can't see how anyone would do business with them.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 More
Hey guys just thought I'd fill you in on my experience Saturday with a terrible dealership. I've been looking for the right Tundra for about 1 month now and finally found one in Mass., I live in southern Saturday with a terrible dealership. I've been looking for the right Tundra for about 1 month now and finally found one in Mass., I live in southern CT. Contacted BOCH Toyota salesman Rich and he let me know the truck was available and that I could test drive it when I wanted and he gave me a great price. I really wanted the truck so I put a down payment with my credit card on the truck on Friday, without even seeing it, and told him I'd take the 3 hour drive to Mass. on Saturday to take a look at it, DRIVE it, and finish up the paperwork. We set up a time on Sat. at 2:30 to meet and he confirmed it with me on Friday night at around 8 pm. I told him to have the truck ready to drive so I wouldn't waste much time. Got to the dealership around 2:45 pm and my salesmen wasn't there. I was told he was off for the day. The sales manager told me to speak with Keith regarding the deal and that he could help me. Keith had no idea what was going on. He finally found the paperwork on the truck and found that they had my credit card and it was charged for the truck, but that I couldn't drive the truck because the truck was 16 trucks deep in there lot and if I wanted to purchase it I would have to sign all the paperwork and come back another day. I explained I just drove 3 hours to buy this truck I put a down payment on and just wanted to drive it to make sure everything was okay. The sales manager told me there is no reason to drive a new truck. Most of his customers don't drive the new trucks because there new. They buy them and then take them home a few days later. I then asked the sales manager to call Richard, my original salesmen, and he said it wasn't necessary because he was in the back, but didn't have the time today to speak with anybody. I just want everybody to know not to even set foot in this dealership. In the end, I really started to get pissed and walked out of the dealership. The sales manager chased me down and asked me about my down payment. I told him it better be off my card within 48 hours or I'd be speaking with my attorney. The sales manager was so rude that in the end my brother asked him a question as to why they wasted my time and he said to him, "are you the one buying the truck, because if your not I don't want to talk to you." I was very surprised by the whole sitiuation and plan on writing to Toyota. I've owned 3 Lexus and 2 Toyotas and never have I experienced such audacity. I'll still buy Toyota, but not from that dealer. BTW the sales manager's name was Jason Arruda. His last name is so fitting!! More
We wanated to buy a car but we were confused between Honda and Toyota. As we enter in dealership of Toyota of Boch the sales person Ricky Arora put first impression on us with very warm welcome with smi Honda and Toyota. As we enter in dealership of Toyota of Boch the sales person Ricky Arora put first impression on us with very warm welcome with smile and itroduce himself that i will more than happy to take care of you and he really did. He asked many questions before showing the Vehicle. We were really surprised being heavy rain and snow he pulled a 4 Runner vehicle from his lot brought in fron to show us rather than taking us in back in bad weather. He was very courtious and pleasant on all ocassion. I believe he is the valuable asset to the Boch Toyota. He gave us a great price. we were very Impressed and we have promise him to send more customer to But vehicle from him. He was very friendly, enthusiastit and intellligent sales person ever we met in our life. This was our 6 Vehicle from Toyota we had been to Copland, Barnardi, Acton and Boch. But The sales person with his Positive attitude, great Customer skill and personality has put stamp on our mind to but vehicle from him in future. He should be rewarded for that. More
My wife and I purchased a new Toyota Yaris at Boch in Norwood six months ago. I wanted to wait until we had completed at least two routine service appointments before rating this dealer. We had read th Norwood six months ago. I wanted to wait until we had completed at least two routine service appointments before rating this dealer. We had read the reviews of Boch Toyota online, and it seems the vast majority are horrible. We had a friend tell us they had not had a good experience at Boch, and we shouldn't bother. We went there anyway, only because we live so nearby, and it would be convenient to purchase/service from a dealer that is in the neighborhood. We have dealt with typical pushy troglodyte salesmen in the past, but there is no need for that these days. We decided that we would walk out of any dealer as soon as we heard any of the typical xx ("What would it take?" or "Let me talk to my manager" are two shining examples that you have all heard). We did a lot of online research, and knew what we wanted, what invoice was, and what the average price was that people were paying in our area. I called Boch and got a price that was crazy low. I figured it would not be the same price or the same car when we went there, and I was gearing up for bait and switch. Much to our surprise, when we got there, they had a record of the phone conversation. Our salesman, Mike Kayyali, quoted us the same price for the same car. Not once did he utter anything even remotely resembling xx. He was courteous, professional, and friendly. He spent a lot of time with us, taking us to look at other cars on the huge lot, at our request. We tested two cars. He handed us the keys and let us take off. I appreciate the amount of time he spent with us, especially considering that we were looking at the cheapest cars on the lot. After we decided on a car, he gave us his cel number, and we never had any trouble contacting him while car was being prepped. We did have two gripes about our sales experience. One was the amount of time we sat around after the deal was made, waiting for paperwork, etc. But, the place is as busy as a supermarket on a day before a snowstorm, so we wait. The only reason we lowered the customer service and overall rating was our experience with the business manager, after making the deal with Mike. This guy was a typical car dealer xxxxx. Cramming the frigging extra warranty down our throats like we are Linda Lovelace. But, the price was fantastic, Mike was an attentive and effective salesman, so we tolerated this turd. Since that time, we have had two routine service appointments, and they have been as good as any I have had at any other dealer. Both times I asked how long it would take, and both times they were accurate. Staff is friendly and courteous. Price seems to be in line with others. So, overall, we have had a good experience buying and servicing. If not for the storm-trooper business manager, we would have given a perfect score. I can only guess that so few good reviews are the result of satisfied customers who don't feel the urgency to comment online like those who have gotten reamed. I find it hard to believe that a dealer could grow to be the number two Toyota dealer in the country by shafting customers. More
