Hey guys just thought I'd fill you in on my experience Saturday with a terrible dealership. I've been looking for the right Tundra for about 1 month now and finally found one in Mass., I live in southern Saturday with a terrible dealership. I've been looking for the right Tundra for about 1 month now and finally found one in Mass., I live in southern CT. Contacted BOCH Toyota salesman Rich and he let me know the truck was available and that I could test drive it when I wanted and he gave me a great price. I really wanted the truck so I put a down payment with my credit card on the truck on Friday, without even seeing it, and told him I'd take the 3 hour drive to Mass. on Saturday to take a look at it, DRIVE it, and finish up the paperwork. We set up a time on Sat. at 2:30 to meet and he confirmed it with me on Friday night at around 8 pm. I told him to have the truck ready to drive so I wouldn't waste much time. Got to the dealership around 2:45 pm and my salesmen wasn't there. I was told he was off for the day. The sales manager told me to speak with Keith regarding the deal and that he could help me. Keith had no idea what was going on. He finally found the paperwork on the truck and found that they had my credit card and it was charged for the truck, but that I couldn't drive the truck because the truck was 16 trucks deep in there lot and if I wanted to purchase it I would have to sign all the paperwork and come back another day. I explained I just drove 3 hours to buy this truck I put a down payment on and just wanted to drive it to make sure everything was okay. The sales manager told me there is no reason to drive a new truck. Most of his customers don't drive the new trucks because there new. They buy them and then take them home a few days later. I then asked the sales manager to call Richard, my original salesmen, and he said it wasn't necessary because he was in the back, but didn't have the time today to speak with anybody. I just want everybody to know not to even set foot in this dealership. In the end, I really started to get pissed and walked out of the dealership. The sales manager chased me down and asked me about my down payment. I told him it better be off my card within 48 hours or I'd be speaking with my attorney. The sales manager was so rude that in the end my brother asked him a question as to why they wasted my time and he said to him, "are you the one buying the truck, because if your not I don't want to talk to you." I was very surprised by the whole sitiuation and plan on writing to Toyota. I've owned 3 Lexus and 2 Toyotas and never have I experienced such audacity. I'll still buy Toyota, but not from that dealer. BTW the sales manager's name was Jason Arruda. His last name is so fitting!! More
We wanated to buy a car but we were confused between Honda and Toyota. As we enter in dealership of Toyota of Boch the sales person Ricky Arora put first impression on us with very warm welcome with smi Honda and Toyota. As we enter in dealership of Toyota of Boch the sales person Ricky Arora put first impression on us with very warm welcome with smile and itroduce himself that i will more than happy to take care of you and he really did. He asked many questions before showing the Vehicle. We were really surprised being heavy rain and snow he pulled a 4 Runner vehicle from his lot brought in fron to show us rather than taking us in back in bad weather. He was very courtious and pleasant on all ocassion. I believe he is the valuable asset to the Boch Toyota. He gave us a great price. we were very Impressed and we have promise him to send more customer to But vehicle from him. He was very friendly, enthusiastit and intellligent sales person ever we met in our life. This was our 6 Vehicle from Toyota we had been to Copland, Barnardi, Acton and Boch. But The sales person with his Positive attitude, great Customer skill and personality has put stamp on our mind to but vehicle from him in future. He should be rewarded for that. More
My wife and I purchased a new Toyota Yaris at Boch in Norwood six months ago. I wanted to wait until we had completed at least two routine service appointments before rating this dealer. We had read th Norwood six months ago. I wanted to wait until we had completed at least two routine service appointments before rating this dealer. We had read the reviews of Boch Toyota online, and it seems the vast majority are horrible. We had a friend tell us they had not had a good experience at Boch, and we shouldn't bother. We went there anyway, only because we live so nearby, and it would be convenient to purchase/service from a dealer that is in the neighborhood. We have dealt with typical pushy troglodyte salesmen in the past, but there is no need for that these days. We decided that we would walk out of any dealer as soon as we heard any of the typical xx ("What would it take?" or "Let me talk to my manager" are two shining examples that you have all heard). We did a lot of online research, and knew what we wanted, what invoice was, and what the average price was that people were paying in our area. I called Boch and got a price that was crazy low. I figured it would not be the same price or the same car when we went there, and I was gearing up for bait and switch. Much to our surprise, when we got there, they had a record of the phone conversation. Our salesman, Mike Kayyali, quoted us the same price for the same car. Not once did he utter anything even remotely resembling xx. He was courteous, professional, and friendly. He spent a lot of time with us, taking us to look at other cars on the huge lot, at our request. We tested two cars. He handed us the keys and let us take off. I appreciate the amount of time he spent with us, especially considering that we were looking at the cheapest cars on the lot. After we decided on a car, he gave us his cel number, and we never had any trouble contacting him while car was being prepped. We did have two gripes about our sales experience. One was the amount of time we sat around after the deal was made, waiting for paperwork, etc. But, the place is as busy as a supermarket on a day before a snowstorm, so we wait. The only reason we lowered the customer service and overall rating was our experience with the business manager, after making the deal with Mike. This guy was a typical car dealer xxxxx. Cramming the frigging extra warranty down our throats like we are Linda Lovelace. But, the price was fantastic, Mike was an attentive and effective salesman, so we tolerated this turd. Since that time, we have had two routine service appointments, and they have been as good as any I have had at any other dealer. Both times I asked how long it would take, and both times they were accurate. Staff is friendly and courteous. Price seems to be in line with others. So, overall, we have had a good experience buying and servicing. If not for the storm-trooper business manager, we would have given a perfect score. I can only guess that so few good reviews are the result of satisfied customers who don't feel the urgency to comment online like those who have gotten reamed. I find it hard to believe that a dealer could grow to be the number two Toyota dealer in the country by shafting customers. More
Of course I was concerned when I reviewed the reviews on this site. I used the Boch internet site to find the car that two other dealerships had said were "not available" in my area. I got a very good pri this site. I used the Boch internet site to find the car that two other dealerships had said were "not available" in my area. I got a very good price over the phone, all the price commitments were honored when I arrived. No hassles, no problems, nice experience. I went in on the defensive side and left feeling very good. I was going to buy a new car and trade in my old one. I still owed money on my car and went into the negotiations saying that I expect the net price to be inclusive of the dealership paying off what I stil still owed money on my car and went into the negotiations saying that I expect the net price to be inclusive of the dealership paying off what I still owe. So whatever the ending price was would be the extent of my loan, no additional for the loan I currently had. The negotiations went on and I was at the dealership over the course of 2 days for about 6 hours. I have no idea what took so long and why I was left sitting at a desk for periods of time waiting for people to come back. Anyway, when I finally went into the business manager's office to discuss financing, he started speaking in terms that included my prior loan to the net price negotiated. I explicitly asked the question at the beginning of negotiation and was told the net price negotiated would be it, nothing added for my prior loan. I could not believe how I was misled. I was incrediably angry and they brought back in the people I was negotiating with and made me feel like I was the idiot who didn't know how to deal with this situation. I am not a stupid person as I am a CPA and deal with sales people regularly in my current job. I will NEVER do business with a Boch dealership after this experience. It was unbelievable. More
I purchased a brand new 2008 Rav-4 on 1/21. The initial experience was positive and I was happy with my purchase, until I sat down with the finance person, who spoke in circles and I ended up paying a lot experience was positive and I was happy with my purchase, until I sat down with the finance person, who spoke in circles and I ended up paying a lot more than I anticipated. I tried to forget about it when I picked up my car because I was excited about it. The experience was not that great and I was very put off by the fact that I was practically forced to sign some phony customer service survey, and the sales person kept pusing me to say that my experience was "excellent". I just wanted to get out of there and wasn't feeling well, so I just said everything was fine so I could leave. A "manager" even came out to check my experience, while the sales person was hovering over me....it was all really crummy. Then I leave the dealership with my brand new car to find out that the alignment was pulling to the left. I drove it for 2 weeks like that before I had time to bring it back in. I had to call and speak with 5 different people before I could get them to agree to give me a rental while it was being fixed. I spent my Saturday driving down there (40 minutes), waited for a rental for a while and it took a few hours to fix my car. Fine. Then ONE WEEK later, I get home from a weekend away to find that some hose has fallen from my car and is now dangling on the ground! I don't know if I can drive it, I have to go to work in the morning and everyone I speak to there is NOT HELPFUL or empathetic at ALL!!! I called back to ask for a manager (which last time I did this I left 2 messages and never got called back). I actually got a person, Imed, who should NOT be in charge of anything. His offer was to give me a rental...gee thanks...so I can drive an extra hour and a half after I get out of work to go back to Norwood to get the car and return the rental. He then said it wasn't their problem because they don't make the car. He wanted to know "what I wanted him to do about it". He was very rude, refused to give me the name of his manager. Finally he offered me some free oil changes. I was so frustrated by his rude and unhelpful demeanor that I finally hung up. Now I have to spend my morning driving there, waiting around for it to get fixed and hope and pray that something else doesn't break in another week. I have owned all Honda's before this, 2 brand new, and never had any problems! I am SO SORRY that I ever decided to go to Toyota, and specifically Boch! Their service is HORRIBLE!!! STEAR CLEAR!!!!! I was a victim of the classic bait and switch. They gave us a great price quote after getting our requirements for a Toyota Tacoma in writing. We had 3 or 4 phone conversations with them where Vernel and J us a great price quote after getting our requirements for a Toyota Tacoma in writing. We had 3 or 4 phone conversations with them where Vernel and Jason assured us that their price was valid and based on our very specific requirements. When we drove the 65 miles to get there we found out that the truck that they were trying to sell us didn't have the SR5 package ($2125 retail). No wonder their price was low! But they were successful in getting me to leave work early, drive down to Norwood to then figure out that they were just trying to deceive me. Needless to say we got out of there after ripping up the sales contract and getting the paperwork that I'd already filled in with my personal data. We had put $500 on a credit card to hold the price so that we could get the 0% financing. They said that they're going to refund the card and I certainaly hope that we won't have any trouble getting that back. But based on our experience so far, I'm not optomistic. I will never deal with them again and quite honesly, don't know how they sleep at night. They're the classic sleezy car dealers. More
I bought a 2007 Camry LE from Boch with a Guidepoint system. I went for vacation recently and returned after two weeks to find that my car battery was completely dead. Naturally I call up the service de system. I went for vacation recently and returned after two weeks to find that my car battery was completely dead. Naturally I call up the service department, wondering if there was a bad cell in the battery or if there was a parasitic load draining the battery. Apparently, if you bought the Guidepoint system with your car, it is expected that if the car is not started within a period of 3 to 4 days, your car will be unable to start due to a drained battery. Now, when I bought this Guidepoint system (which was ~$2000 at Boch), Boch informed me the product warranty on this equipment was valid for the life of the car itself and I thought it seemed reasonable, considering the fact that Boch made it seem like it was a factory installed car alarm system (yes they never mentioned that the car did not come from the factory without the alarm or that it was an after-market product). I've recently received a warranty renewal bill from Guidepoint stating that it will cost another $100 per year to renew the product warranty. The sales manager was very rude, raised his voice and acted as if he knew everything. The only thing I can say is that the Guidepoint technician was friendly, but that has nothing to do with Boch Toyota. I will never buy from Boch Toyota again, if it were me I would not purchase anything extra from them. I'd rather pay a little extra for some peace of mind that I would not have to deal with a dead car all the time. More
I took my truck in for it's ten thousand mile check they rotated the tires and a day later I noticed one of my center hubs missing I tried contacting the dealer there was no response so I bought one on line rotated the tires and a day later I noticed one of my center hubs missing I tried contacting the dealer there was no response so I bought one on line then I noticed the other three were no put back on properly the last time I ever do business with them for anything More

After leaving the dealer, I called the dealership, gave a different name and was quoted the original price for the AWD model, that they were still available. I called the dealership again. Complained to manager, got nothing but lip service, denying that there were any cars left at the adv. price, yet he can sell me the same car for $750. more, which tells me he has the same car available. Someone said that this dealer does 'bait & switch', but I didn't take their word, assumed that one has to have their own experience before distrusting them. Certainly won't do business with this dealer, nor any of the other Boch dealerships, will definitely let everyone know that they are as sleazy as people have told me. More
