I negotiated the price of a new Toyota Venza online. The price was competitive. The person I negotiated with told me (in an email) that our trade was worth between $18,000 and $21,000 if it was in excellen price was competitive. The person I negotiated with told me (in an email) that our trade was worth between $18,000 and $21,000 if it was in excellent condition as I had described it to him. When we went to the dealership to complete the deal at the negotiated price, after inspecting our trade (which was in excellent condition)our salesman told us that the "good news" was that our car was worth $12,000. When I asked what had happened to the $18,000-$21,000 (which he apparently did not know about), he said his sales manager had given him the number brought back the sales manager to explain it. I complained to him about being low-balled. He left for no more than a couple of minutes and came back with an offer of $18,000 for our car. I had already decided that I did not want to deal with Boch before he returned, left after getting his new offer, and went immediately to Wellesley Toyota where I bought an identical car for a few dollars less. We purchased a new Toyota Rav 4 in the Fall and had a great experience. Went back end of December to lease a 2011 Rav 4 and had a TERRIBLE experience. The salesman was terrific, same gentleman we worke great experience. Went back end of December to lease a 2011 Rav 4 and had a TERRIBLE experience. The salesman was terrific, same gentleman we worked with on prior purchase. My husband got a bottom line, this is it quote over the phone, then at the 11th hour when I was ready to finalize our deal, $600 fee was added. Apparently the sales manager that gave my husband the quote "forgot to add the fee". Apologies were made on this employees mistake, but we could not make this deal given the added $600. The manager on duty was rude, we spent hours on this and ended up walking away and losing all opportunities to get a year end deal anywhere else (including Boch Honda). We got a call from customer service "we will make this right" but no follow up. We were very upset, talked to way too many sales managers, it was inconsistent and terrible service. They have lost us as return customers. We now do not recommend Boch Toyota to our friends. More
Here is a copy of a letter I sent to the General Manager, along with copying it to Ernie Boch Jr. himself. I had a horrible experience when purchasing my Tundra from them two years ago, not even sure why we along with copying it to Ernie Boch Jr. himself. I had a horrible experience when purchasing my Tundra from them two years ago, not even sure why we went back... My wife and I were furious after leaving this time around, we went to Ira Toyota in Milford and bought the same exact truck from them and had nothing but a pleasant experience there. I would like to voice some further disappointment with the dealership. I tried to give the dealership another shot this week. My wife and I were looking at a new Toyota 4Runner. We live in Plainville, which does not make it too convenient to come in to the Norwood dealership, but we decided to make the trip down there since you had the vehicle we were looking for. Monday night, we met with a salesman Eddie and drove the vehicle we were interested in. We sat down and tried to make a deal. We couldn’t agree on a deal, so we ended up leaving that night, a little disappointed that it did not work out. A sales rep called my wife the following day, and they were unable to speak to each other until yesterday finally. After she talked to him on the phone, they came to an agreement on the deal. It was the same deal that we had offered on Monday. I am not going to lie, we were a bit shocked that we were able to come to an agreement on price. Once they had come to that agreement over the phone, my wife gave her credit card number to put a deposit on the vehicle and on the deal. The guy on the phone even asked us to bring in the title for her car and we could possibly be driving away in the new vehicle last night. After we made the trip last night from Norwood back to Plainville, we got the title and cleaned out her car for the last time. We drove back to Norwood and sat down with our sales guy from earlier that week. He had us fill out a finance application form and went to give it to his manager to enter in the deal that was agreed upon. Well, apparently the manager did not like the deal that was agreed upon, and came over to tell us so. The terms of our the agreed upon deal: we buy the 4Runner for $30,000. We put the $7k that was offered for our trade down, and an additional $3k out of pocket, leaving us with financing $20,000. They had thought we were buying the vehicle for $37k and financing $30 and $7k for deposit (which would make it more than sticker price at that point). Now the invoice price of the vehicle is around $33k. The sales manager we were dealing with, and I apologize that I didn’t acknowledge his name, said the deal was not going to happen. Now you can clearly understand how upset we are at this point. We tried playing around with the numbers again, and he said the lowest they would go would be the $33k invoice price. At this point, he agreed that it was a Boch Toyota mistake, but refused to take the additional $3k off the price to get it to the $30k that was already verbally agreed upon. I understand it is a business and the dealership needs to make money, I get that. I also understand that doing a deal over the phone is harder than in person. But what I don’t get is how we can put a deposit on a deal/vehicle and then be told that it is not happening since they messed up. Its $3k that we are off. My feeling is that my wife and the dealership employee came to a contractual verbal agreement over the phone, a deposit was given to hold the deal/vehicle for the agreed upon price, and now we are the ones that are screwed out of it. It is the dealership mistake, and I feel that they should have stuck to what was agreed upon. I do not fault the guy that my wife made the deal with yesterday, but as a company, I feel that the dealership should have backed up the employees mistake and stood behind it. So much for keeping the customer happy, huh? I can tell you that even if the dealership was to call us back today, offering the exact deal that we wanted and that was already taken away from us, we would say no to the offer. This was our final straw with doing business with Boch Toyota. You have some very rude sales associates that work there. You are also still holding our $500 deposit, and if your insulting sales manager hadn’t threatened to have us removed from the showroom, we would have stayed there until it was refunded to us. I had spoke to the parts department yesterday afternoon regarding ordering accessories for the new 4Runner, as well as ordering new tires for my Tundra and had intentions on bringing my truck in for service this weekend. I would have easily spent over $1k on tires and service, as well as close to another $1k on accessories for the 4Runner. I have since made my appointment with IRA Toyota in Milford for tomorrow, who we will also be buying a new 4Runner from. Thank you for your time. More
I have honestly never met such a helpful, competent service consultant. Bob was the one in the service center that was getting things done very quickly. His pace was impressive. He whipped through the service consultant. Bob was the one in the service center that was getting things done very quickly. His pace was impressive. He whipped through the paperwork and got my car moving through the service center. He was polite, professional and pleasant. It was obvious to me that he takes pride in doing a good job and assisting people in the most professional way. He went above and beyond for me. I think that so many people in the service industries today almost seem to resent customers. Bob was clearly doing the best job he could to make things right. The speaker Bob had ordered for me was mistakenly sold/used by another service person. Bob was clearly frustrated, but didn't spend anytime complaining. He got on the phone and made arrangements to get a new speaker for me, and he handled it the same day. How? I'm not sure. But it was a "miracle" of efficiency. I can't say enough about Bob. If I need service again, I will request Bob specifically. The others may be fine workers, but they all seemed to be working at a slower place. Bob was fast and excellent at his job. Boch Toyota would be very wise to keep him happy, because he's an asset to your operation. Carol Patch Needham, MA More
I was looking to buy a new Scion XB. I waited an hour just to see sales person. He was brand new (his second week on the job), had never sold a Scion, and knew next to nothing about them. I told him ex just to see sales person. He was brand new (his second week on the job), had never sold a Scion, and knew next to nothing about them. I told him exactly what car I wanted on his lot, and he brought it out for us to test drive. Scion is a "no haggle" brand, so all we had to do was agree on a price for my trade-in and our deal was done. Then we waited to see the "finance department" so we could complete our paperwork. One hour. Two hours. Three hours. Four hours. Crazyness. We finally left the dealership at 10:30 at night, and would return the next day to take delivery of our new car. They were to contact our insurance company FIRST THING the next morning to get "proof of insurance", then would process the registration and deliver our new car THAT DAY. They were very specific that we HAD TO TAKE DELIVERY that day, since it was Friday December 31 and they needed this sale to close in 2010. However, no one from Boch Toyota called our insurance company. They didn't call December 31st, or Jan 1st, or Jan 2nd, or Jan 3rd. On Tuesday January 4th they decided to process the paperwork and called us to tell us we could come in to take delivery now. Tell me again why I had to stay at the dealership until 10:30 at night to get this deal closed RIGHT AWAY?! Oh, and for some strange reason they charged our credit card with a $500 "deposit" which was to be refunded to us. They've told us the credit has been "processed", but so far it hasn't. We're still trying to get that money back. Other than that it was a good experience. More
I entrust my vehicles only to Boch Toyota of Norwood and Bob Gandolfo. Bob is very professional, yet at the same time, it is apparent that he truly cares about the customer. He takes the time to get to kno Bob Gandolfo. Bob is very professional, yet at the same time, it is apparent that he truly cares about the customer. He takes the time to get to know both my daughter and I. I am a single mom and money is often tight, and Bob lets me know what concerns I should deal with right away and those of which that can wait a while. I trust him implicitely and that is of the utmost importance to me. I feel confident knowing that he is very honest and that is why I will continue to take both my vehicles to him. I would highly recommend going to Bob at Boch Toyota. More

I put a lot of time into purchasing a new Toyota Rav 4. I started at Boch in Norwood, MA, as I heard they had the best prices. Boch provided a very informative, low-pressure sales environment. I told the I started at Boch in Norwood, MA, as I heard they had the best prices. Boch provided a very informative, low-pressure sales environment. I told them I would be shopping the price, and they gave me no attitude at all. I walked out of Boch with a price, and proceeded to shop at other dealers. First I tried Balise Toyota in Warwick, Rhode Island - horrible experience. They told me they were ready to do "crazy deals" to move cars, but it was a crock. Their BEST price was still a couple thousand higher than Boch. When I told Balise where they needed to bewith the price, they almost threw me out the door. I will never go back even if they are giving cars away (well, maybe if they give them away!) The next step in the process blew my mind - I was referred to Tarbox Toyota in Warwick by a family member, and was told that this is where the best deal would be. I was convinced that I would be getting a better deal here than at Boch, so I went. I told them what I could buy the car for, and they said they had the exaact car I wanted, and would match the price. Well, they could not get the car I wanted; the salesguy threw an extra hundred on the price, plus another hundred to track down/deliver the right color and options. I was in a bad mood already. I told Boch that Tarbox would match the price, and Boch came down again to beat the Tarbox price by a considerable amount. And Boch said the exact car I wanted was sitting on the Boch lot waiting for me. I was shocked - the people at Boch (who I had never dealt with before) were treating me better than Tarbox which was a family referral. After I canned the Tarbox deal, they came back with a better price, but I had already soured on them. Boch was honest and straightforward from the beginning. I asked for and got their best price without having to play games, with no hidden costs and fees. They treated me like family even though I was initially a tire-kicker who lived 50 miles away. I will go back to Boch when it is time for another car. More

Without a shadow of a doubt BOCH Toyota is not only the best Car dealership in America but only in the entire planet. I do like the movie theater in the waiting area and the free coffee and the high tables that helped me to grade my student’s exam while I was waiting. Fantastic experience and I recommend Boch to anyone who needs a piece of mind. More
