When I went into the finance office I was told I could lower my monthly payments by $1 a month if I signed up for an extended warranty that would cost $1650. I declined the extended warranty but asked if I could get the $1650 taken off my loan. After a few moments of stuttering by the finance officer I was able to get my loan payment per month cut by $25 or for a total of $1650!!!! And my rate was actually 4.99 not 5.99... I wonder how many people actually fall for this trick??? More
I was interested in a new FJ cruiser with a manual transmission and no roof rack which is very difficult to find. I started the search by submitting a request for a quote from dealership within 50 mil transmission and no roof rack which is very difficult to find. I started the search by submitting a request for a quote from dealership within 50 miles of Boston. Although several (>6) dealerships replied, Boch was one of only two dealerships that actually provided a quote for the FJ with a manual transmission and of the two, Boch had the better price. John Dwyer at Boch Toyota worked with me on finding the manual FJ. I highly recommend John. He is very professional, he listens to what features you want, works with you to find a car with those features, and he doesn't push other things to bring up their bottom line. He is also very responsible - if he says that he will call on Thursday, he will be calling on Thursday. He is up front - no hidden fees, options... He is very courteous - when I picked up the car on Monday evening he spent the time to go over any questions that I may have and then he stayed for half an hour after closing to explain all the functions in the car. He provides the type of service that is very hard to come by this days. John was a pleasure to work with and I have found the sales person and a dealership to go to first for the next Toyota. At first I thought I would get a 2009 or 2010 with roughly 20,000-30,000 miles...something used to save myself a little money. That was until I visited Boch Toyota of Norwood and after talking with a sales rep and finance manager I realized that they could put me into a brand new Tacoma for roughly the same monthly payment it would take to purchase a used Tacoma. So I started thinking... I visited Boch of Norwood 4 out of the next 4 days to talk with Ben Potter about the exact truck that I wanted and he could not have been more helpful and more accommodating! We covered the entire inventory and he was able to find the EXACT truck that I was hoping for!!! As a finance person and smart consumer and someone who needed to stick to their budget, Ben Potter worked endlessly with me to get the numbers down on my monthly payment and overall cost to the point where I felt I was getting the absolute best deal possible on this truck! He was understanding, friendly and informative. He was more than I had anticipated and hoped for! He didn't seem to me like your "typical car salesmen" just looking out for himself and the dealer trying to make the highest commission (sorry to lay on the stereotype). NOT AT ALL! Ben was very genuine and I felt that I was in very good hands. I have a friend who I have known for close to 15 years that works at another Toyota dealership in the RI area and he was helping with me the numbers as well, so I appreciate his help. But the fact that I felt more comfortable working with Ben Potter to lease my truck over a person that I have known since I was a teenager certainly says a lot! In the 4 or 5 consecutive days I was in Boch of Norwood and working with Ben Potter I felt that we had established a very friendly and professional rapport and THAT is why I leased my truck from Boch Toyota of Norwood, because of Ben Potter! I would recommend any of my close friends or family or colleagues to visit Boch Toyota of Norwood and you can bet that I will tell them to call ahead and schedule a sit down with Ben Potter, because I know he will be just as friendly and courteous and knowledgeable and helpful for the people I know and respect as he was to me. In fact, Ben can expect to get a call from one of my closest friends as early as this week as he is looking for a new vehicle. And I will continue to send business Ben's way! i went to Boch looking for a new car and to trade my Honda Civic. I met with mr. Jonathan McGilvray who listened to me. Mr. McGilvray answered all my questions and gave me a great deal on a 2012 Toyot Honda Civic. I met with mr. Jonathan McGilvray who listened to me. I met with a salesperson Rob who took me out to test drive botha Camry and Carolla. he again answered all my questions regarding both cars. I can't thank enough to what Mr. McGilvray did for me. Ben Potter was the most considerate car salesperson I have ever met. I simply asked to see a salesperson to ask a few questions about buying a good used car. He explained to me about the special this month to lease a new Prius. (I had used my son's Prius last month and loved it). Ben patiently answered every question. I never gave him my phone number that day, but called the next day with more questions. He got me my answers and called back. I never felt pressure from him. I actually felt like he was very considerate of my needs and was helping me through the puzzle of finding a car to match my lifestyle and finances. I had the same sort of experience when I sat with Audie (sorry I don't know the correct spelling). He was again, very patient, not pushy, careful to explain the benefits of extra costs such as choosing gap insurance (which Ben had prepared me to consider), and car alarm (which saves money on car insurance). I had a busted deal at another dealership and was frustrated with wasting my time face to face so I sent an email to 9 dealerships asking for a price quote. Bill Goulette was the first to respond and offered $612 lower than the next closest offer. Price was my only concern so I was dreading going to the dealership to have to deal with salespeople and sales managers. I was pleasantly surprised dealing with both Earley and Jonathan. I got everything I wanted but the color (which was close enough, I'm not picky) including an acceptable offer on my trade. A few hours later (they were very busy) I was driving home the 28 miles with my brand new Corolla (I drove by 2 to other Toyota dealerships). I had to force Jonathan to leave because he wanted to stay while I waited for the service guys to clean and prep my car and it was a little after 9 pm. Earley brought it around and helped me unload my old trunk which was full of stuff and reload my new trunk. I'm very pleased with my experience at Boch Toyota. More
I bought 6 cars (2 Camry, 2 Avalone, and 2 Sienna) from this dealersip over the past 27 years. I have noticed the attitude and service has dropped appreciably since it got big. I recently went there to look for a Camry hybrid, while the sales associate was pleasant, the sales manager was arrogant and showed no customer oriented attitude. I don't expected much discount on the hybrid, but this manager offers no discount and even tried to rip me off on the trade-in. I had searched the web and know about a fair trade-in value of the old car and so was prepared to negotiate. This sales manager simply said that Boch has changed its way of doing business and it no longer negotiate over prices, it was take it or leave it. So I promptly left. I was able to get $3000 more for the trade-in, on top of a decent discount at another dealership. I will not go back to Boch again. More
Excellent purchasing experience. Ben Potter had the knowledge and the dealer had the inventory. The process was efficient and painless. Very little waiting for test drive or paper work. Not the usual time consuming back and forth with the manager on price which makes me feel perhaps I did not get the excruciatingly best price. However the price and trade in fell in line with Kelly and Edmunds guidelines so I am quite content. More
