The only shop that would help me out in an emergency I was in South County when my TPMS lit up. It was around 5:45pm. I called around to several places, most of which were open until 7pm. Not one of them I was in South County when my TPMS lit up. It was around 5:45pm. I called around to several places, most of which were open until 7pm. Not one of them was able to accommodate me. I called Tarbox. I explained my situation to the person that answered the phone. She explained that general service had left for the day, but the techs that handled things like tires and oil changes were still on the clock. She said they’d likely to be able to help me. She transferred me to John. I explained my situation, and John didn’t hesitate. He asked if the car was drivable, or did I need a tow. I said I’d put air in the tire, and drive carefully. I made it to the service area about 6:30-7. John wasn’t available, but the service advisor that was, took my info and my car was brought in. In less than 1/2 an hour, the tire was fixed (bad valve stem) and I was on my way home. Total cost was $10. The techs and advisors were great. They treated me well, regardless of the time I arrived and how little the job cost. The car was spotless, the tires were properly inflated and my TPMS light was off. 5 star service, for a 1st time $10 sale. I live in Lincoln. Tarbox isn’t conveniently located for me, but I will make the trip there, from now on. It’s worth it. The facility is amazing and the service was exceptional. Thanks guys! More

The service department did not back up their work and tried to tell me that a serpentine belt had snapped off and an assembly piece underneath had broken off. This was a 600 job. I knew that this was not true because I had taken pictures of my engine before I brought it in. After they had been caught in this lie they came up with a few more including telling me that I had blown my own engine because there was no coolant in the engine. Lucky for me that I have on video, my husband opening the radiator cap & getting sprayed by hot water. After being jerked all around by them I initiated a tow to have my car removed from the dealership. Upon leaving I opened the hood only to see that the serpentine belt was gone. Now the car that went in running would not start or drive. When I went back inside for the belt they agan told me that it did not come in with one. After a lot of crap they went into the back & brought me my belt. It was cut off and I was told by Steve that his guys cut it off. Did you know that the service department over there works on commission??? YES! COMMISION! No wonder they tried to hit me with a 600 repair that I didn't need. After filing a claim with headquarters I have still not heard one word from the service manager. I'm 2 weeks with no car or resolution. Moral of the story....DO NOT TRUST TOYOTA TARBOX. They will not back up work and they lie to make themselves money More

After a while of driving the car, I checked the engine oil gauge level dipstick; I observed it was much below the lower point. I was surprised about that, and I went to a Midas Automotive Service to solve the problem. In Midas, they told me there is an extended warrantee for these car model and years by Toyota, and it is better to show my car to a Toyota Dealer Service. I immediately went to Toyota Tarbox in North Kingstown, RI, and described the situation. They told they will perform an oil consumption test on my car, and I should return after 1100-1300 driving miles. I returned to Toyota Tarbox after the mentioned mileage. They checked the oil, but they told me your car has passed the test, and your car oil consumption is within the criteria by Toyota. So, I got happy and left. They checked the oil, but they told me your car has passed the test, and your car oil consumption is within the criteria by Toyota. So, I got happy and left. After driving around two thousand of miles, I checked the oil gage level dipstick, and again I noticed, the oil level is much more below the lower line of the gage. Again I went back to Toyota Tarbox, and showed the car. They responded you have to drive 5000 miles after the previous test to have another test. I drove that mileage and went back to Toyota Tarbox for a new test. They performed the second test on mileage 121392, and after a 1200 miles I went back to Tarbox to check the test result. They told your car has passed the test again. I was not convinced by the results, and complained to them, and they said if you come the next time, your 10 years extended warrantee has been expired, and we cannot perform any more test on the car, and you have to contact Toyota. Therefore, I said I will do my oil change to see what happens on the car. On mileage 123895, I changed my oil in Toyota Tarbox. After 2290 miles I checked my oil level gage and it was awefully below the lower point of oil gage. I went to Toyota Tarbox to discuss about my issue. They overtopped 2.01 quarters of oil to the engine, and they said they will contact Toyota, and inform me about the result. The next day, they called me to say that Toyota has not accepted the oil consumption due to passing the test and expiring the extended warrantee. Therefore, I called Toyota customer service, and after a long time of describing the issue, they told “your car has passed the test, and the 10 years extended warrantee has been expired”. I explained for them that the first and second times that I realized about the Oil Consumption, were within the 10 years, but they were not convinced. On the other hand, I asked them some technical questions about the oil consumption criteria, and they referred me to a Toyota Dealership. I went back to Tarbox to talk with Brain, service supervisor, and we discussed the followings: 1- The oil consumption test says that, if car consumes one quarter of oil or less within 1200 miles, it passes the test. On the other hand, they say you can drive 4000 – 5000 miles after each oil change in Toyota depend on how much engine works in place in traffic. (The point is that we live in Kingston, RI, a very small town which never has any traffic). Now question is: The capacity of Toyota engine is 4.5 quarters. By the above Criteria for the test, after 3000 miles my car will consume 2.5 quarters of oil. It means my car should work with following condition after my oil change: Mileage after oil change Oil in the engine (quarters) 0 4.5 1200 3.5 2400 2.5 3000 2 3600 1.5 4200 1 4800 0.5 It means that my car should work with less than 2 quarters of oil after 3000 miles after oil change. So, my clear question from Brain was: Me: “Do I have to add any oil to my engine between two consecutive oil changes?” Brain: “Yes” Me: “If yes, how my car has passed the test, and if my car has passed the test why my oil is not between the up and low points of oil gage”? Brain: “Ask Toyota!!” Me: “You are Toyota representative, aren’t you? Do you mean I have to go to Japan to ask?” Brain: “I am not Toyota, Call them” Me: “Give me a paper written my car will not encounter any problem during two consecutive oil change if it has passed the test!” Brain: “We can not do that, and we can not talk about the test, because we are not Toyota engineers.” My Clear Question and Request from Toyota: 1- If my car has passed the oil consumption test, why should I add oil to my car during two consecutive oil change? 2- If my car has passed the oil consumption test, why the level of oil is not within the upper and lower points of engine oil stick gage? 3- If I do not add oil to my car during two consecutive oil change, does Toyota accept the responsibility of any damage to my engine? I am now driving a beautiful new Corolla. Thanks to the amazing team at Tarbox. Jason was GREAT!!. Helping me to decide between purchase and lease, ( I went with the lease) and was ever so patient explaining all the ins and outs of the process. I took a couple of different makes out for test drives and Jason told me about each one. I had brought my 13 year old Corolla in for service and had a complimentary manicure. How cool is that!! Scott took me through the paperwork with patience and a smile. He made the whole process painless. There are no hidden fees so anyone who thinks so, wasn't paying attention. I bought my 03 Corolla new somewhere else... it wasn't like this at all. KUDOS!!! Jason, Scott, and the rest of the Tarbox team. You're my new dealership. PS....Beautiful facilities all More

Friendly but glib customer service. Buying my 2013 Prious V was a good experience. However, I have been very disappointed in Customer Service. First I bought the tire Warranty. 2 months Buying my 2013 Prious V was a good experience. However, I have been very disappointed in Customer Service. First I bought the tire Warranty. 2 months after I bought the car, I had an unrepairable flat tire. It was a time when I could not call Tarbox. I had it repaired locally, and took the old tire to Tarbox. They told me I had to get permission first otherwise I couldn'tget my money back. They assured me they told me in the finance office. My word against theirs. Guess who won. I wrote to CustomerService, but no reply. Very upset. Then the mileage on the Prious started to decline, from an average of 43 mpg to 37. Went to them 3 times and just got excuses. They adjusted the tires and the brakes. Finally i was told this was in the acceptable range (a 14% decline? ),and there was no problem. I am finally going to another dealership. It's taken me long enough. And I did write several letters More

I had a idea of My current car which was a Toyota Highlander with 211,113 miles on it was in need of repairs but it was actually time for a trade in. I had a idea of what I wanted to get which was a Toyota Venza but after taking a test drive on the Venza I was not in love with it. My salesman Veek suggested testing driving 2013 RAVA4. This was the car for me. I did want to downsize from the Highlander so this was a great suggestion and I was happy that we were able to come to an agreement about the trade for my car and the price for the RAVA4. I have try different cars over the years but I am happy to say that is the first time that I bought a Toyota back to back. I am looking forward to be working with this organization to keep me on the road and keep me happy. More
