I always get anxious when it’s time to replace an automobile. A new car was not in our budget, so we were shopping for a pre-owned car. From the moment I spoke with Jeff McCabe at Tarbox Toyota, I felt comfortable. He knew his stuff and walked us thru the process patiently answering all of our questions. He was courteous and kind. There were no “cat and mouse games” played like other dealers. In fact, everyone at the dealership was helpful and hospitable to us. Negotiating a price with the manager is the part I dislike the most, but I have to say the price settled on was fair. A compartment on the dash was sticking so Jeff had them look at it and they decided to order a part for it. We were able to drive the car home that day and Jeff made us comfortable while they were washing and cleaning up the car. I’ve only driven the car a couple of weeks, but, so far, it seems to be a beautiful car in great condition that anyone would be proud to own. In fact, the car we just replaced was purchased as a pre-owned car from Tarbox Toyota 11 years ago and we loved that car too. It’s worth the trip to North Kingstown. More
Because I had spoken with Matt earlier in the day telling him what I was looking for, he had the car driven up to the front of the showroom shortly after our arrival--thus saving time just sitting around wai him what I was looking for, he had the car driven up to the front of the showroom shortly after our arrival--thus saving time just sitting around waiting. Our tradein was driven and a price was settled upon without great arguement or haggling. This helped to make it a much more pleasant experience. More
We have dealt with Tarbox Toyota for over 12 years for sales and service and have always been satified. We decided it was time to buy a new vehicle with incentives Toyota was offering, so we went to Tarb sales and service and have always been satified. We decided it was time to buy a new vehicle with incentives Toyota was offering, so we went to Tarbox Toyota to look. Were dealt with saleman Jeff McCabe who was very friendly, efficient and knew his product very well. We decided on price, but Tarbox didn't have the color Corolla we wanted. He said he would search for the color we wanted. He found the car we wanted within a day or so. When we went to pick up the car there was a discrepancyin the trade in value as it was appraised as a 2005 Camry, when in fact it was a 2002. We were a little upset, but Fred McCabe called us right away and made everything right. If it weren't for Jeff being so kind, empathetic and willing to go above and beyond we would have gone elsewhere. I love my new car and would recommend Tarbox Toyota and Jeff McCabe any day. And thank you to Fred Rice for his good customer service. More

Contacted the dealership by phone and was given the sales manager's name to ask for. The sales manager introduced us to our salesman Sean, who greeted us at the door. I recently bought a new Toyota Yaris from Tarbox Toyota. Vann White did an outstanding job of showing the car to me and he also pointed out many points of interest the car had to offer. Salesman not at all interested in me as a customer, my needs or when I wanted to pickup the vehical. Truck was delivered with defects that needed to be fixed (it took 6 days to fix). From the moment we walked onto the lot, our experience was refreshing. We were met by Bill, who was extremely friendly and courteous. At another dealership, we were made to feel like it was an imposition to take the time to test drive and tell us more about the vehicle. This was not the case at all at Tarbox. Negotiating the price can be a harrowing experience, but here we discussed what we felt was a fare price for the vehicle we were purchasing, as well as the one we were trading. After a little back and forth, Bill and Matt were able to find a way to make us comfortable with both. Although it was time consumng to get through all the details of the sale, we really appreciated that they went over all the details with us, explained the financing and even provided us with lunch. I would definitely recommend Tarbox to anyone in the market or a car. More
