I visited Boch Honda showroom three times...was dissappointed each time. Customers believe they are getting a car for less from reading the ads boasting Boch Honda is the number one in sales...not dissappointed each time. Customers believe they are getting a car for less from reading the ads boasting Boch Honda is the number one in sales...not true. Customers are only getting a high pressure sales experience by believing a deceptive ad. Boch Honda writes their own unreal positive customer experiences on this site to offset the number of negative customer experiences...so beware On my first experience...I went into the showroom looking for the sign and drive promotion on a Civic..a salesperson took me on a test drive. The salesperson did not seem to know anything about the ad..when I came into the showroom...the salesperson turned me over to Mark S. the Manager. Mark S. is reflective of the high pressure sales tactics Boch Honda is the benchmark of for other showroom to follow. Mark S. took an hour to honor the ad. Mark S. was high pressure by adding on up front fees to the sign and drive lease...offering me nothing for my trade by insulting me...including free oil changes, service coupons, free title look up and other high pressure sales gimmicks. When I said the ad was on an EX...Mark S. became offensive and was looking to increase the up fronts that Mark S. promised to use my trade to offset..when I said.tha ad was on an EX..... Mark S. seemed to draw a blank...also the promotion was only on two cars...when I asked Mark S. about a different color Mark S. drew a blank..Mark S. also drew a blank when I asked about lowering the monthly payments on the lease....Mark S. also followed me outside with his clipboard over to my car..Mark S. is sleazy high pressure and smooth talking....the only smooth talk is I told Mark S. I have a dry sense of humor by asking Mark S. if that was his face in the ads..and on the banners on the wall in the showroom...Mark S. said he would have a lot of money if it were his face on there... The second experience was I placed a deposit for a one day sale on leasing a Honda Fit on the website..It was difficult to get my deposit refunded..when I went to the showroom in person looking for my deposit..Mark S. lied about my deposit being refunded in seven days..it took two months of my persistence to get my deposit refunded.. The third experience was when I went in the showroom in person to check out a sign and drive lease on an Element...was a deceptive ad...the only Element in Boch's inventory was selling at top dollar..I left the showroom and never heard from the salesperson again on each one of these experiences. To get your best deal on a Honda in Boch's chaotic atmosphere be ready to be dissappointed, pressured, insulted and come down on Mark S.'s day off...a below zero experience in every category.......................... On Sunday March 1st I walked into Boch Honda and I was there to just browse around. A man named Will asked me if I needed help and I told him I was just looking. Instead of being a pushy sales person and there to just browse around. A man named Will asked me if I needed help and I told him I was just looking. Instead of being a pushy sales person and asking a million questions he mentioned that at any time I needed help he would be in the vicinity and would gladly assist me when needed. I must admit I have only marginal knowledge of automobiles. About 15 minutes later I approached Will and told him my time was short and I had to leave. I asked Will for a brochure on the Accord, Civic & CRV. Will came back with a manager which at first was slightly awkward as I did not request a manager. The guys name was Marc Schloss and he asked me if I had a pleasant expierance and if al my questions were answered. I almost felt guilty for leaveing. Mr. Schloss asked me if I could return and test drive a viechle of my choosing. I remember Will offering me a test drive on any car I would have interest in and I declined. I did agree with the manager that it would be a good idea to do a test drive to break the ice in what I am looking at. To make a long story short I called my girlfriend and told her I would be late. I drove both an Accord and CRV and eventually bought a CRV from Boch Honda that day. I traded in an Accord with 175 K miles and received what I feel was fair value. Upon reflection a good friend of mine purchased a car from Boch Honda 2 weeks prior and said the place was ok but the music was blasting and the place seemed overly busy. I noticed the music just right not too loud and certainly not like a dentists office. The place seemed very organized to me. People who work their seemed to be happy as well. Thank you Will and Marc for making this a pleasant experience that I will share with friends and family. Regards, Steven Woodley More
John McMahan was one of the best salespeople I've dealt with. He was able to find the exact vehicle that I was looking for (2009 Civic), and didn't pressure me into buying. I had a great experience with Boch Honda!!!!!!! I was pleased with every step of the car buying process. Seriously... it was perfect....Here's my experience: I requested a price quote from Boch at Car pleased with every step of the car buying process. Seriously... it was perfect....Here's my experience: I requested a price quote from Boch at Cars.com. I quickly received an email reply from Dan Jordan in the Internet Sales department. I emailed him back a few times and his email replies were professional, helpful, and polite. He offered to have me come in and test drive the 2009 Honda Fit that I was interested in. I called him, and he arranged for the car to be brought around to the front so it was ready for me when I arrived. As promised, the test drive vehicle (exact trim/color I requested) was ready for me at the time I requested. Dan turned me over to salesman Biff -- he explained the features of the car, etc. NOT ONCE did I sense a high pressure vibe from him. He was really personable, friendly, easy to talk to, answered all of my questions... and... he has a really dry sense of humor... he cracked me up many times..! Then we got back to the dealership and sat down to chat. I wasn't ready to talk numbers so I didn't bring price up in conversation. His manager, Mark, came over and told me about the quality of Honda cars, etc. NOT ONCE from him did I get that "high pressure" vibe AT ALL. I was so relieved. Anyhow, Dan from the internet department was great about following up with me after the test drive. Nice touch. NO pressure, just keeping in touch. Phew. So this past Saturday, I decided OK I think I'm ready to see if I can get this car! I walked into Boch without an appointment with the salesman (you should really make one... they are busy there and I had to wait a little bit) and after a short, polite meeting with Biff and the sales manager we agreed on a price that I was satisfied with. They took my trade-in, too. I walked up and rang the sales bell.. fun.. ! It wasn't stressful at all... phew........ So the next step in the buying process was to meet with the accessories sales rep. Her name was Tanya or something like that. She was nice but I already knew I didn't want any accessories.. I want to customize my car with non-OEM accessories.. she understood and politely left... Then the next step was to work out the paperwork with their finance guy Khalid. He was polite and friendly and very efficient.. all the paperwork was ready to go and I was out of there quickly. I had to wait a little while for the car to get cleaned/ready to drive off the lot.. so I went to the cafe over at the Boch Scion/Toyota dealership next door. There I ran into Dan the internet guy and we had a nice chat about how great the Honda Fits are. I told him that his initial contact with me really was so crucial in securing my business. There are so many dealerships who were wanting my business that I really could have been super picky about where I went. I figured that since Boch is a volume dealership I could get a good deal.. yeah I was right! Ok, so sorry this was so long but that was my entire painless experience at Boch. EEK I hope this doesn't sound like a fake review... I suppose everyone's experience is different. I happened to have a good experience so I thought I would share it. The only comments I have that aren't as positive are: THAT MUSIC!! They play this outdated top 40's music from I don't know when.. late 80's, early 90's?? It's awful. Not sure of the psychology of that.. maybe they think that's what people like? Not sure. And the speakers they use are of lousy quality... kind of muffled. Uggggg! Get some hipper music and some good speakers and everyone will be happier! But hey to have a no-pressure sales experience and then get a good price on a car... I can deal with the lousy music for a few hours. Also, the dealership is such a high volume place that there's a lot of people in there, lots of sales people around. Not that having it busy is a terrible thing, it just is an energy that you have to be prepared to deal with. But the salespeople have desks separated by some partitions so it's not that bad. Be sure to EAT before you go to buy a car.. the process takes a few hours and if you are hungry you could find yourself exhausted by the time you get to the paperwork process. OK, thanks for reading this. I'll post any updates I have. Am going in to get the car inspected today. I know their service department is crazy busy but hopefully I can get out of there quickly today... I scheduled an appointment request online and am waiting for them to call me now. Update: getting the car registration card/car inspection/misc. details today at Boch went smoothly. Service department was great.. all the guys in Service I met were friendly and helpful. They have a great system for checking in the cars for service and keeping track of everyone's cars. More
Boch Honda was running a deceptive ad on President's day weekend for a sign and drive lease on an Element. I was impressed at the ad ....Elements do not have good lease numbers. When I inquired about the le weekend for a sign and drive lease on an Element. I was impressed at the ad ....Elements do not have good lease numbers. When I inquired about the lease promotion on the Boch website...I was answered by Darnell.. Darnell was looking to sell a straight up lease on an Element. When I discussed the promotion...Darnell seemed to know about it....and said it does not start until tomorrow...it is on only two cars...was argumentative about the ad that advertised there were a 100 Elements. When I inquired on the telephone the next morning..I heard from Jarzan there were only two cars left at this price...there also was 1800 up front for fine print...I learned it was not a true sign and drive with zero down as the ad was boasting. Jarzan said it was 'first come first serve basis'.....did not sound real...in only two colors. When I inquired later on in the afternoon...Mike....sounded like a mechanic...said there was only one left at this price..in a different color than Jarzan said earlier..Mike became offensive when I said the ad said there were 100 Elements in the ad. When I came down later in person in the evening,...... a salesman, an older person waited on me and assured me there were zero Elements left at this promotion..Mark S. greeted me... he knows me from dealing with him while I was looking to get my refund on a deposit previously...difficut to get....Mark S. did not seem to know about the promotion on the Element..Mark S. went to the other side of a car in the showroom and whispered to the older saleperson that was waiting on me. The older salesperson went over to a desk....I was showed numbers that were crazy too high on the only other Element left in the lot..the ad from a day ago said there were 100..the older salesperson also was discouraging about leasing a Fit...Mark S. and the older salesperson that waited on me seemed to have already reached their quota for the day, had a number of lines to defend the ad, were not too helpful........ The older salesperson said the two Elements at the promotion were loss leaders and they were sold before the showroom opened in the morning. I was given different information on the telephone before I came down about they have two leftin the lot at the promotion...Boch Honda is the leader in deceptive advertising, high pressure sales and other gimmicks.......... For boasting that Boch Honda is number one in sales....the showroom does not seem to care about the negative experiences on the dealeraters site..the real ad is Boch Honda is number one in high pressure sales, bad experiences, deceptive ads...................................... I live in Maine and was on vacation when I got a flat tire. I then took my car to Boch Honda for service. I was greeted as soon as I arrived by Sean who was very helpful and friendly. The tire needed to tire. I then took my car to Boch Honda for service. I was greeted as soon as I arrived by Sean who was very helpful and friendly. The tire needed to be replaced, they were able to complete this repir in a timely manner and had me and my children back to our vacation in no time. The children loved the children's room. There were movies to watch and activities to play with to keep them busy. I only wish I lived closer so I could have this type of service on a regular basis. More
I know every experience is different, but I think a lot of that is more the sales person than the dealership itself (what's that old saying about bad apples). I took my Mom, Rose, to by her first new car of that is more the sales person than the dealership itself (what's that old saying about bad apples). I took my Mom, Rose, to by her first new car in a long time. I wanted to make sure that she wouldn't get the proverbial run around. I looked up the cost on-line and knew that I would have to pay around that cost. I did my mom's homework, but I think it really paid off. There were almost no negotiations and little to no haggling. Our Salesman, Will, was pretty nice, and more importantly patient. He never spoke down to us. I liked that the finance dept didn't try to pull any fast ones either. Caryn was direct and thorough. After the deal was signed off on, we left and picked up our car the next day. We called to make sure it was ready, a girl in service, Maria, told us that it was ready, washed and stickered. She even told me where it was parked. All in all, it’s not something I enjoyed doing, but I won’t be going anywhere else when I go to look for my new car. More
I bought my Honda about 2 and 1/2 years ago. I love my car and I love this dealership! I bought my car from Boch and have had my car serviced here-Everytime. Every Oil Change, maintance and any concerns car and I love this dealership! I bought my car from Boch and have had my car serviced here-Everytime. Every Oil Change, maintance and any concerns I've had with the car-I have always been treated EXCELLENT! My latest trip to Boch was for an oil change, I had 2 of my kids with me. Sean greated me and my kids with a big smile, asked what I was there for and showed me where the "kids room" was so they wouldn't get impaitent waiting for the car to be serviced. As we were waiting a very nice, kind woman, with a BIG Smile named Maria walked by and saw me and my kids hanging out in the room and told us there were some snacks in the main waiting room and to go help ourselves. She walked us over and showed myself and kids what there was for them-complementary.... MY kids were eleated! Fruit cups, muffins, coffee-This dealership knows how to take care of their customers! When the car was ready about 40 minutes later-seamed like we were there for only 10 minutes-Sean came and got us, walked us to the cashier and explained what was done to the car. He THANKED US-for letting him take care of us-were do you find that kind of customer service these days. My kids can't wait to go back there again! More

Within the past couple of weeks I received a notification from BOCH Honda in Norwood MA an invitation for the Washington's Birthday sales promotion included was to be a drawing for $8,888.88. My wife and I d from BOCH Honda in Norwood MA an invitation for the Washington's Birthday sales promotion included was to be a drawing for $8,888.88. My wife and I decided to enter this on the evening of the drawing. We arrived at the dealership 1/2 before the drawing (and within the allowable timeframe to enter the drawing). The drawing was to be held at 7:00pm and entries were allowed up until that time. When we arrived we asked about the drawing for that evening and was directed to the center of the showroom floor. We waited until 7:15 before asking when the drawing would be and we were told shortly. I asked a manager for more of an exact time and he asked one of the vice presidents who said they were running '...a little slow' and that the drawing would be at 8:00pm instead. When 8:00pm arrived we asked again and was told that the drawing was moved to an undisclosed location sometime in the afternoon and that the drawing had already been held 'hours earlier'. My wife and I spent over two hours waiting for a drawing that we were never allowed to enter at a location NOT listed on the announcement. What kind of a dealership would do such things...I have reported this shady dealer with the Better Business Bureau, the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth, the state's Attorney General Office. There is no monetary loss except the possibility to be entered into a 'FAIR' lottery at the dealership offering a single prize of $8,888. I hope you do not have dealings with this dealership! More
