My experience leasing a new Pilot from Boch Honda was exceptional. They clearly beat all deals hands down and have a huge selection. My salesperson Chris Gaudreau was great. Boch Honda is a good dealership but Mike McShane made buying a car a pleasant experience. Everything went smoothly, and Tom couldn't have been more kind and considerate. As a single woman looking for a car, I never once felt intimidated or patronized, both of which I feared when going to a dealership. He even supplied me with a box to clean out my car, and touched up a little paint on the car himself! I ended up driving my car home that same day, something I didn't expect. People often associate purchase a new car with stress and aggravation...my experience has been the total opposite, it was perfect! I can appreciate the very long, hard hours that these guys work..sacrificing time away from their famiy and friends and not always getting the credit they deserve. The sales process and contract signing were a bit rough. At times, the communication during these two stages were contentious. It should not really have taken three hours to strike a deal when a customer knows what he/she wants and has payment in hand for the entire purchase price. The most frustrating part of the deal was the lack of communication regarding the processing of my payment; I paid with a auto loan check from my credit union and the dealership said they would not deliver the car until the payment was cleared. Better communication and follow up regarding the payment process would have made the experience less stressful. It should not take more than 3-5 business days to have processed the payment and we were going on 8 business days when my patience had run out and we decided to head down to the dealership in person to get real answers. When we arrived at the dealership the initial response from the Sales Manager (Gary) was rude and confrontational. He did not greet us or introduce himself and his tone had been condescending (as if he couldn't be bothered to explain it in detail to us because the business is too complicated for us to understand) as he tried to brush us out of the dealership. I had to ask another employee for his name. We did not get any answers until we said we would not leave until we had a specific delivery date. To the dealership's credit, they did agree after that to deliver the car on the Monday following the visit. The customer service and communication during delivery (courtesy of Marc Heroux) was much improved. I'll rest easier once the payment on their end is settled and we can put the transaction fully to rest. More
