Thought it may be related to the brakes or s I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and asked them to diagnose a noise I was hearing in my wheels. Thought it may be related to the brakes or suspension. Was told a test drive was done and nothing was found, everything was all set and the vehicle was ready for pickup. I then remembered getting a notification on my dash saying the brake monitoring system needed to be serviced. I meant to mention this when I brought it in for the oil change but forgot to do so. I called them back asked about the test drive and was told they couldn’t duplicate the noise I was hearing on the test drive and that the vehicle had been placed on a lift and everything looked fine. I mentioned the brake monitoring service message I received and they said it would have to be put back into the shop again. About an hour later I received a message saying that the vehicle needed new pads rotors and quite possible new calipers in the back end to the tune of $2,600 in parts alone not to mention probably another $800 in labor. I asked how this was not picked up in the initial “test” drive or life inspection. I was told they weren’t sure. I will not be back and I’ll make sure to pass this story along to any other prospective Chevrolet customers. I purchased this vehicle off a lease from a relative who has leased at least 4 other vehicles from this dealership and they will not be back either. More
