My wife and I went to Clay Chevrolet to look at a 2012 Chevy Camaro 45th Anniversary Edition. I was greeted by Jim McAndrews. My first impression was that that this guy was very genuine - Not the stereo Chevy Camaro 45th Anniversary Edition. I was greeted by Jim McAndrews. My first impression was that that this guy was very genuine - Not the stereotypical "car salesman." After the test drive, we went back to the showroom to talk. Everything about the car was fantastic. And, I really wanted it. I had a price in mind that I wanted to pay and I had a price in mind for what I wanted for my trade. Jim brought me a deal sheet: $X for the car, $Y for my trade = $Z total. I adjusted X and Y and he went back with my offer. He came back with another counter. Jim conducted himself very ethically and professionally. He didn't apply a lot of pressure and treated my with much respect. After further negotiations with with Brian Sceviour and Kevin Eaton, we were able to strike a very exceptional deal. I paid a very fair price for the car and I got a very fair price for my trade. I couldn't have asked for anything more. No mind games, no hassle, no tricks! I went back a few days later to get the sticker. I was greeted like family - From Jim, from Brian and from Kevin. I have been to many car dealerships over the years, and the list of dealerships and employees that are honest and have a lot of integrity is a very short! I'm happy to say that Clay Chevrolet is at the very top of this list. When i'm ready for the Corvette, Clay Chevrolet will be my very first stop! More
Never in a million years would I recommend Clay Chevrolet to anyone. Shiney new facility but same old song and dance. I should've gone with GMC or VW. My mistake. to anyone. Shiney new facility but same old song and dance. I should've gone with GMC or VW. My mistake. More
This is the second time I have purchased a Chevrolet. I must Say Arnie Petrosky is the best person who works there. He is efficient, friendly, and goes the distance to ensure the customer is treated right. must Say Arnie Petrosky is the best person who works there. Had a great time buying a new Chevy Volt with the Clay dealership! Everyone was super nice, no one was "too pushy" or obnoxious in the time between when we stopped in and when we made the decision to get dealership! Everyone was super nice, no one was "too pushy" or obnoxious in the time between when we stopped in and when we made the decision to get the car. Scott was very knowledgeable about the Volt and all its cool features. Everyone at the dealership seemed as excited about the product as we were, and very positive. Sales managers, reception, just everybody was so nice and friendly. Very patient staff who explained everything and made sure we were comfortable with the car after we got it. Really felt like they were working hard to earn our business and get us back in the GM family. Dealership itself was clean, nice, bright, and showroom cars all looked well kept. More
In August of 2011, six months after purchasing a $17,000 vehicle from Clay Chevrolet in Norwood, my "newly purchased" Chevy Equinox left me and my 10 year old son stranded at his elementary school. Odd. I t vehicle from Clay Chevrolet in Norwood, my "newly purchased" Chevy Equinox left me and my 10 year old son stranded at his elementary school. Odd. I thought I traded in my 95 Ford Explorer so I can feel “safe” that my son and I would not have to worry about situations such as the one I was in. The coolant in my car seemed to be disappearing mysteriously causing the engine to overheat and my car would intermittently stall. So I took it to the dealership thinking, “hey, I just bought this car about six months ago. I’m sure those nice guys that made a profit from selling me a $17,000 vehicle would be happy to fix the issues my newly purchased car seems to be experiencing”. I guess I’m putting way too much faith in mankind. The service guys told me that the car has NO LEAK, and that because it was August, the heat may be causing the liquid to evaporate. Also, the car was stalling because the battery needed to be replaced. The battery would be $175 dollars which included the installation fee. “Wait a second. You’re telling me that I have to pay $175 for a car I just purchased SIX MONTHS ago?”. “Yes ma’am. It’s not covered under warranty”. Okay, fine. I picked up my car, and bought a battery from Triple A for $100 dollars. Fast forward to May. Since then I’ve had a new battery, I’m still having to replace the coolant in my car that has “no leak”, the engine is still overheating, and the car is still intermittently stalling. So I take the car to the dealership, crossing my fingers that maybe they’ll touch base with their humanity for just a second to see how wrong this scenario is. I was wrong. The car still has no leak, and the cause of the evaporation is due to a Unicorn doing the mambo on my “reservoir”. The cost? $300plus to fix. My “extended warranty” doesn’t cover mythical creatures doing the mambo inside my engine. So what does this mean? It means I have a 3 year loan with the bank to pay off a car that is slowly but surely kicking the bucket. Clay Chevrolet of Norwood apparently sells cars that will no longer work after a year of use. I bought a 95 Explorer for $1800 in cash which lasted 3 years. I guess I’ll stick to Craigslist. More
I recently decided to trade in my 2007 Mazda for a new car. I started my search at a Mazda dealership, planning to buy the newest model of my car. However, the salesperson as the dealership was very unh car. I started my search at a Mazda dealership, planning to buy the newest model of my car. However, the salesperson as the dealership was very unhelpful and didn't seem to have any knowledge of the car itself. I left there and decided to try out some other cars. The first place I went was Clay Chevrolet, to test drive a 2012 Cruze. Brian Greeley greeted me when I got there and took me out for a test drive right away. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the car. He pointed out all the great features of the Chevy Cruze and I enjoyed the test drive. When it came time to make a decision, I had some trouble, as I usually do, making up my mind. It was suggested that I take the car out for another test drive. I did this, and realized that this really was a great car and I was ready to buy. Brian made sure that I got everything that I wanted at a price that I felt comfortable paying. When I went back to the dealer to pick up my new car, Brian took his time to show me all the features of the car and get me all set up before I left the dealership. Brian was extremely helpful and really knows his stuff! I will definitely be recommending him to anyone looking to buy a car! More
This is the second vehicle I have purchased from Brian Greeley at Clay Chevrolet and this experience was just as enjoyable as the last. In 2010 I purchased a 2009 Hyundai Sonata, my very first vehicle wit Greeley at Clay Chevrolet and this experience was just as enjoyable as the last. In 2010 I purchased a 2009 Hyundai Sonata, my very first vehicle with a loan. Brian made this very nerve wracking experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. When I decided just recently to upgrade to a newer model, I did not hesitate to call Brian and ask for his opinion and guidance. By the end of the day, I was at the dealership test driving a few vehicles Brian thought I would like and ended up walking out of there with a 2012 Chevy Malibu. He listened to exactly what I wanted and found me the perfect vehicle for my price range. I did not feel pressured at any point to buy a car I could not afford or to upgrade to a model with all the bells and whistles. Brian really listens to his customers and with his extensive knowledge and expertise, can put you into a vehicle that suits your wants and needs perfectly. I have and will continue to recommend Brian to any one who is considering purchasing a vehicle and will continue to go to him for all my future purchases as well. Nicole More
I went to Edwin Hernandez to help solve a problem with keys and fabs for a car that I purchased, unfortunately, at another dealer. He was a BIG help and did not stop pursuing an answer to the problem and keys and fabs for a car that I purchased, unfortunately, at another dealer. He was a BIG help and did not stop pursuing an answer to the problem and dealing with the other dealer until I received my new key and fabs for my 2011 Chevy Malibu. I am switching ALL my service to him and Clay Chevrolet. He went above and beyond to help me even though I did not buy the car there and at the time my service package was not with his shop. Thank you Edwin! Clay is lucky to have you. You are a great asset to the company. More
Recently sold my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a used gas sipping Honda Insight I found at Clay Chevrolet. This vehicle was in awesome condition and the service from Scott was just as good. From test drive sipping Honda Insight I found at Clay Chevrolet. This vehicle was in awesome condition and the service from Scott was just as good. From test drive to financing to delivery (Poor Scott had to drive to NH) the experience was great. I'd have no problem recommending Scott and the Clay team for your next vehicle purchase. More
I really wish that I could have given joel the sale but I decided on a different car from another manufacturer. I must say that this dealer/sales team was tough competition for who I bought from! I worked decided on a different car from another manufacturer. I must say that this dealer/sales team was tough competition for who I bought from! I worked my way down the strip trying different cars that were in the class I wanted. When I got to this dealership joel and his manager immediately helped me and listened to what I was looking for. They put me in several used cars withing my pricerange to see if I liked them. When I liked the chevy malibu they looked at what I could afford and were willing to give me very good pricing for a new malibu. They wanted the sale but they new I wanted to lok at all my options so they gave me their best offr hoping I would come back. They werent pushy, they were honest, friendly, helpful... basically more than anything I ever expected from a car salesmen! They ere also the only dealership that kept in contact with me to see how I was doing with my car search and they tried their best to match pricing. Please give these guys your business! They deserve it! More
