I have never had an issue before and I have had my oil changed there ever since I got my 2017 Equinox. I had told the Service Advisor that I had a coupon for the oil change and tire rotation but he never changed there ever since I got my 2017 Equinox. I had told the Service Advisor that I had a coupon for the oil change and tire rotation but he never asked to see it and said that he would apply it to the invoice. The coupon that I had (coupon code : 8995W expires 10/7/2023) Coupon price was $89.95 which states that it is good for 6 Quarts Full synthetic oil, Tire Rotation, Change Oil filter. Top off ALL fluids, and perform Multi point Inspection. My 2017 Equinox has a 2.4_Liter_DOHC engine and when I check the invoice it said that my Package was $99.95 plus Tax and Hazardous waste. Also said that I was chargesd for 6 qt of oil. The spec in my manual says capacities for Engine Oil with filter for the 2.4L L4 Engine is 5 qt. So I went back in with my manual to find out why I was charged for 6 qts of oil when my vehicle only had a capacity of 5 qt. I was told I needed to talk to the service manager and I asked to talk with him. They said that he would be out when he check on the spec. When he did come out he told me that the car actually takes 5.5 qt of oil so they rounded it out to the 6 qt. Then he handed me a spec sheet (Document ID: 3745777) which is from Equinox, Terrain Service manual 9695836&pubSubSectionN... but it was for a 3.0L (LFW) and 3.6L (LFX, LFR, LFY and LLT) engines (6 qt.) and NOT for a 2.4L engine. So the real disappointment came when he said that he would give me the $2 cash to make up the difference. I declined the offer because with the coupon that I had it was a little more. I left after that. When I got home I checked previous invoices and they all said 5 qt. were used each time. The Service Advisor and Receptionist were both very nice and I didn't have an issue with them. Today I figured I would check my oil level and found the the level is over the fill level, I checked twice. My car had been sitting there for 6 hours so it should have been settled. Also it says on the coupon that "Top off All fluids" and my Windshield washer fluid wasn't topped off (can't see any). If it says that it is suppost to be done then it should be done. I'm a senior and veteran and when I get treated like I don't know what I'm talking about when I question something, I will just walk away and find someplace else to get my service done. Don't know who the Service Manager was. More
